  1. I'm starting to like Alexander Woodson more and more as a prospect, I won't get carried away with him, even though Woodson seems like one of the rare guys who can actually pitch well on that Bristol team in starts. (last two that pitched were just destroyed) Maybe a potential candidate for a sleeper next season.
  2. QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Aug 17, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) i must be the only guy in chicago that still likes Pods I don't hate/dislike him eigher. Will always be someone I respected for what he did in 2005. But his time has ran out basically. There's nothing more he can really bring to the table like he did in early 2005. I have backed him alot as well, but we all know he probably won'nt be back. He still has Dergan though so don't feel too bad..
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 03:35 PM) Maybe the luckiest 8 innings of shutout ball ever. Finishes with 6 walks, 2 k's, and a ton of flyouts against a terrible offense though, and gets a 1-0 win. I don't care how lucky it was, that was very impressive. this dude is making his major league debut and goes eight strong innings, giving up only five hits and giving up zero runs to the defending NL champs. Sure he had six walks (hell Zambrano had like seven and he shut them down) but doing this in your major league debut? I must say that was damn good. Agreed.
  4. As of right now.. (which won't/never happen) Count Garland Buehrle B-Mac What I'd expect to see.. Count Buehrle Garcia Garland The same as last season basically. (Vaz in bullpen)
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 11:43 PM) Cotts has cemented himself as our worst pitcher on the roster. Whoa.. I hope your just saying that out of frustration. Or maybe just speaking for the bullpen?
  6. Whoa, how the hell did we lose to the Royals again? And basically got hammered? Just got home turned on the t.v. and was like WTF?!
  7. Great another Vazquez thread. Just keep 'em commin.
  8. Ricks is gettin hawt.. God damn Moreno was destroyed. Worst outing I've seen this season maybe in a couple years.
  9. Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, don't jump on me now. Like Kalapse said, I'm not going to go into it eigher. But, just pointing out an example.
  10. Damn, Montero was unhittable tonight.. Heads is gonna be one happy man once he sees what Ricks did.
  11. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Aug 15, 2006 -> 12:03 AM) So tonight I caught my first foul ball. I was in section 146 and bare handed a foul liner off the bat of Mark Teahan. It was fun high fiving everyone and letting people feel the ball. The ball was right on path to hitting my girlfriend as she assumed a fetal position and closed her eyes, so luckily I was able to reach around her and catch it. I had previously gotten a ball in Tuscon, but that was from the Rockies bullpen catcher after I told him I'd give him my smoothy if he gave me a ball. Does anyone else have a story about catching a foulball/homerun? Did you give it to a little kid or did you keep it for yourself? Was it off a ricochet or in the air? I'm sorry, but for some reason I kinda laughed when I read that.. But that's awesome bro. Only ball I've ever "caught" being a fan of was when my little brother's team was playing. Some kid hit a pop foul, and I was walking to the bleachers with a soda and "bang" took one off the dome. Very embaressing.
  12. I'll say this. This means that Frank Thomas has done it as well since he and Rowand worked out together ALOT during the off-season when they were teammates.
  13. That other announcer was pretty good. "Tadahito IGooooooooochi. I had to smile.

    QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 10:35 PM) Please stop being gullible O-va-rated biach!

    Dye V Maggs

I would like to see Maggs' knee hold up in another season, or two. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 07:47 PM) Personally, I'd take Magglio over Dye. Jermaine is only getting older, and quick. I just see Maggs outlasting him, if the Sox could trade Dye straight up for Ordonez, I'd do it. QUOTE(supernuke @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 01:09 AM) Hmmm, Both of them were born on Jan. 28, 1974. PWNED. And an interesting fact.
  16. QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 10:02 PM) i'll be there! ^^^^^^^ First game this season. Keep doing the threads Rowand. Your record is getting more ridiculous (I meant that in a good way) everyday.
  17. BA helping that OBP. I Brian Anyone catch his interview with Chuck Garfine (sp?) Classic.. BTW, Garland was outstanding.
  18. QUOTE(farmteam @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 01:50 AM) At first I thought this was the usual drunk posting. The fact that it's a real article is, to say the least, rather amusing. So did I, I thought 101 was pretty lonely today..
  19. I'll play. 1998 Yankees 2005 White Sox 1997 Marlins 1989 A's 1995 Braves No research, just off the top of my head. (Notice most of the teams are in the 90's.
  20. I'll be there tomorrow. I've been to a sox/kc series the last three years (inc. this one), that's just crazy, also all of them in August, also all wins. This is the first time I won't see Garcia pitch, I'll be someone else.

    in need of advice

Honestly he gawn, I can probably hook you up with a girl who looks way better than her, personality wise and everything (I'm sorry, I can't stand woman who play games) and considering you live in Indiana, it isn't very hard to actually do at all... BTW, some pretty good advise being said in this thread.

QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 11:49 PM) i really wanna talk in person but i doubt it happens because she wont have the balls to tell me in person... I would too considering she doesn't have any... or does "she"...
  23. I really hope Long will turn it around next season. He has really disappointed me.
