  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 4, 2017 -> 09:17 PM) Panarin is so awesome, some ridiculous passes today. By far the best game I've ever seen him play. He was fantastic. Hartman was damn good as well. Crow was better this game, but still 3+ GA post appendix is a bit worrisome, but much better tonight.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 4, 2017 -> 04:34 PM) Lame dunk contest this year. LaVine out with torn ACL Damn that's a shame. He's fun to watch.
  3. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Feb 3, 2017 -> 04:05 PM) I'd love to get Franklin Perez from Houston I think they like him alot though I know DirtySox loves him. Great prospect, doesn't get talked about nearly enough here.
  4. Good segment with Inside the NBA last night. Barkley and Kenny were fantastic. Shaq looked like an idiot with his rebuttals. He's almost as sensitive as today's athletes.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 2, 2017 -> 10:56 AM) MLBRosterMoves ‏@MLBRosterMoves 5m5 minutes ago .@Cardinals sign RHP Carlos Martinez to 5-year contract with club options for 2022 and 2023. 5 years, $51 million Sox really started a trend with teams locking up their core players to lucrative deals. Can be trade assets later if team doesn't compete.
  6. What's up with these players and playing after no appendix? Crawford is turning into Adam Dunn lately.
  7. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Feb 1, 2017 -> 06:57 PM) Luken Baker is an excellent 2018 draft prospect as well Joe Gray is another. Buddy of mine who does scout work in the Cubs org raves about that kid.
  8. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Jan 31, 2017 -> 10:03 PM) If you love this kind of stuff you should be doing an online OOTP league.. He's been there, done that. (although I secretly hope a few of us do it again someday)
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 31, 2017 -> 03:13 PM) People can hate LeBron if they want but he's 100 percent right here. Completely disagree. J4L is right on the money with his assessment. I honestly wonder if other players have the same lack of respect for LBJ. Noone voted for him to be an all star. Not one player.
  10. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jan 30, 2017 -> 03:01 PM) 2016 was tough year for Sox rookies. Coats, Smith, Davidson, Tilson all injured immediately upon seeing action. Keep Moncada away from these guys. He's a top prospect just like Tim Anderson was. He should be fine.
  11. Farm system, sure. But how are we an improved without Sale and Eaton?
  12. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jan 30, 2017 -> 01:05 PM) Stolen from the minor league catch-all thread: Chris Cotillo @ChrisCotillo now MLB awards Cardinals' two top picks (no. 56 and no. 75) in 2017 draft to Astros. Cardinals will pay $2M fine to Houston. With the additional picks, maybe the Astros would be more willing to match our request in a deal? They can easily give up a conditional pick + now along with the spects. It's interesting, but I still think Luhnow is too gun shy/prospect happy with his guys.
  13. Malkin SHOULD of been one as well. Was a pretty glaring omission there.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 27, 2017 -> 05:25 AM) Um, they have KP. A potential generational talent. We don't have that. Let's not get carried away. You're better than that.
  15. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jan 27, 2017 -> 07:28 AM) I take it Lopez wasn't eligible? Also, if you were looking for a reason to like a Glasnow/Keller/Newman package, these rankings probably did it for you. All three ranked in the top 23. Newman is #24 in ZiPS and #33 in Keith Law's ranking. I'm assuming the numbers to the left are the ZiPS rankings for the top 100. Laws is on the right side. Some guys he has aren't even on his top 100 (>100). I don't have the insider, but I believe that's what it means. Could be wrong of course.
  16. QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Jan 26, 2017 -> 08:53 PM) Until he makes it in the major league debut, we can't really know for sure. Beckham wore like 58 before he settled on 15 Usually when its a low number like that, it's probably going to be the number they have. Only time that changes is if there's a vet pickup who likes a particular number and that young player has to change (i.e. Rollins last year)
  17. QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 26, 2017 -> 05:15 PM) Rondo, WOW. https://instagram.com/p/BPvs5RCDGO8/ Bobby Portis just liked his post. I f***ing love it. Call out the 2 hypocrite leaders. The realist guy on this roster.
  18. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 26, 2017 -> 08:33 AM) http://www.espn.com/blog/keith-law/insider/post?id=6270 40. Walker Buehler RHP LAD 39. Amir Garrett LHP Cincinnati 38. Lewis Brinson OF Milwaukee 37. 19. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jan 24, 2017 -> 10:19 PM) Matt Davidson. That's who I'm going with also, although I'm a bit biased towards him. Spencer Adams for minor leagues.
  20. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jan 24, 2017 -> 10:11 AM) Why is Call so low? I'm more shocked Victor Diaz is that low at 29.
  21. Jim Bowden mentioned what he heard about Eaton's reputation after the trade went down on BBTN. https://youtu.be/nB2WoR0PYa0 Fathom is correct about the difference between Frazier and Eaton.
  22. GB was gift wrapped 3 turnovers and they still couldn't open the presents.
  23. Rest in peace to both guys. Ventura was a headcase (Eaton can attest to that) but was a good looking young pitcher.
  24. Can we trade them Miguel Gonzalez for Braxton Garrett please?
