  1. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 30, 2015 -> 06:19 PM) He is the key to the deal. He averaged around 13 minutes a game yet was second on the team with a +12 . Smallish excellent 2 way player who fits the Hawks mold and isn't afraid to mix it up in the corners. His production with the BJ's was better than it was in the AHL. Surround him with talent and he produces. I hope Hossa shows him the ropes as a fellow countrymen. As for Saad vs Keith, Rock, you can't compare the two contracts. Keith was signed under the old CBA and it's cap circumvention. If that's the case, might as well ask why Sharp is paid more too and Seabrook when he gets his new deal. Keith has one of the best contracts in the game.
  2. Anisimov has serious concussion issues too. I like the Hawks depth now but losing Saad is just bad.
  3. I will say this. Dano is a really intriguing young player.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 30, 2015 -> 04:44 PM) Hes simply not worth that cost to the Hawks. He's 22 years old and still getting better. He should be still part of this core. Bickell/Sharp/Versteeg people might blame, but this one is on Kane and Toews deals though.
  5. f***ing terrible Bowman. And LOL at Morin coming back.
  6. Anyone else following this Mike Richards buy out, now "termination" of his contract? Looks like the Kings are trying to get out of that 10 year salary cap hit.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 29, 2015 -> 12:44 PM) David Rundblad re-signed to a 2-year deal, $1 million AAV. Meh. I miss that puke emotion we use to have here. Stan hasn't had a very good offseason to start.
  8. Boston has 13th, 14th and 15th picks now. They can move up to #3 or they can give out of those to us for Sharp. I still can't believe they traded Hamilton for that. Calgary's top 4 is very, very good now.
  9. Me and another poster or two have been saying it since the offseason to sell high on him. He is now the definition of one year too late.
  10. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 26, 2015 -> 08:22 AM) re bold, i am not sure who you are referring Sharp or Bickell. if it is Bickell, yeah i think this board, esp me will miss a player who is making 4 mil a yr and who talked about a 4 hit a game..... yeah, right. if it Sharp, i agree, he will be missed, i like what he brings to the game and he is a threat. granted, last season wasn't a good yr for him, but he is still a threat. the opposing team will need to keep that in the back of their mind when facing the hawks. those are the little things that a players bring to the game. Pretty obvious I meant Sharp since I said I hope Bickell is gone long before him. He wasn't great this past season, but he was injured alot, played on the third line mostly, had his worst shooting percentage in his career, and still put up 40+ points.
  11. I hope Bickell + are long gone before Sharp. He's going to be missed alot more than people think. Plus, I still would like to see the Hawks have insane depth at forward once again.
  12. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) 2 years ago Jaye was hyped. 1 year ago he fell off the cliff. This year he's born again hard. He's finally figured out AA. And it's great to see. I've been keeping an eye on him.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 09:56 AM) Banner gets raised Wednesday October 7 vs. the Rangers. Blackhawks 2015-16 schedule Eh... I wonder what will be running through Kevin Hayes mind.
  14. This is just fun bad right now.
  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 08:48 PM) I can't imagine Davidson ever making the majors at this point. I imagine Reed should still contribute at some point. He had a promising cup of coffee with the D-Backs a couple of years ago. And then our system got a hold of him....
  16. Alexei now is scared of catching the ball.
  17. Been saying all winter (as well as another poster) that they needed to trade Alexei one year early before it's one year too late. He has pretty much proved my point all year. Has really regressed.
  18. Reminds me so much of Lincecum.
  19. QUOTE (daggins @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 10:54 AM) That's the highest take on Engel i've seen, especially since he's stunk like rotting fish in May/June. His tools alone are enticing. If you value ceiling over floor, you value him higher than someone who values floor over ceiling. Guys like him, Thompson, Rodriguez, Guerrero, Ortiz (before the injuries) etc. I've liked more than others in the past.
  20. Former big leaguer and MLB analyst Darryl Hamilton was killed in a murder-suicide. http://abc13.com/news/former-mlb-player-ki...earland/798185/ Yikes.
  21. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 09:59 AM) Jaeckel is a bafoon. He spits rumors that are never true. Pretty sure he's never gotten one right. This. At least Eklund gets one rumor/trade right out of every 50. Jaeckel is batting .000 Kane was suppose to be dealt every year according to him.
  22. What a s***ty way to lose a perfect game. Still got the no hitter though m
  23. Didn't Robertson only have 3 blown saves last season? And one or two were against us. Just crazy.
  24. He must be motivated seeing his brother win the championship last night.
  25. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 17, 2015 -> 04:46 PM) second, you need a goalie who can win the big games, Crawford has shown that and carried this team in the playoff this yr. Hawks don't get out of the first round without Darling. He was magnificent against Nashville. Hawks need to do everything in their power to get rid of Bickell. And I'd rather see Versteeg dealt next over Sharp.
