QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:54 PM) 2) Lebron comes to a core group of Boozer, Noah, Rose. No trades needed. Pulls could potentially keep Deng as SG/SF for line up of Rose, Deng, Lebron, Boozer, Noah. Not a chance. Deng is gone if LeBron is here. That Portland or Magic/Clippers deal will do just nicely. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't mind seeing Bayless at SG if it came down to that though I don't like short SG. Insane athleticism on that kid though.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:50 PM) This contract is going to be laughably bad by the end of the deal. Hopefully they land Lebron. Ya I'm not looking forward to the last 2 years of it, but it had to be done, and seeing him and Rose P&R (EASY assist for Derrick) for the next 3 prime years of his will be nice. Also we finally get a lost post presence which seems like forever now we've lacked. But.... it won't be even 1/8th as bad as that Joe Johnson contract.
-
Well we got Carlos Boozer. Hopefully LeBron takes notice.
-
He's comming here people. He's comming... Boozer I mean... it's a done deal. See what I did there Ric Bucher?
-
Kind of figured this season was probably done. If September is your "best bet" then that probably means if everything in the damn book goes right for you.
-
Please get better Quentin. I'd much rather see Lillibridge DH and have Beckham at 2B. I love Viciedo continuing to start for us though.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 02:30 PM) Maybe because Kenny is going to trade Hudson. After all, the Sox were "all over" Dunn. Thing is, our farm is at the bottom of the league so other than guys like Hudson, Flowers, Viciedo... we don't have much trade-able assets especially with guys like Mitchell, Thompson, etc.. injured.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:58 PM) I think Ryan Hamme has been promoted to Kanny from GF. Only a matter of time, though a bit earlier than I thought. He was sporting a 12/7 BB:SO ratio in GF though.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:07 PM) It'll be funny to see how all of us look if he ends up choosing the Bulls. I haven't said much today, but that is why I'm biting my tongue.
-
I think some of you should get rid of those ridiculous "LeBron watch" avatars. Ever since those were up, "news" and "rumors" have not gone the Bulls way.
-
QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:55 PM) I need some Purple Drank to take the edge off, anyone have JaMarcus Russell's phone number? If he doesn't answer, I'm sure Johnny Jolly, or if you don't want to go the football route, Mike Jones/Paul Wall, Lil Wayne, etc.. would be happy to hook you up.

QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:06 AM) It's nice to win a series against the Angels as they always seem to play well against us. I wonder if Beckham will continue to ride the pine? I think he'll start tomorrow. I would still like to see Lillibridge in the lineup however. DH is perfect for him as Beckham is the better defender at 2B anyway. Viciedo should stick as well at 3B.

Jared Weaver's first career loss against us!

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:35 PM) Way to be Jay Mariotti and pick both... Haha I've said Cleveland forever though before this whole FA thing started. But I'm holding that little hope... Bah f*** it.. I'll say Chicago.
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:33 PM) Rockies win on a walk off homer. Yeesh. I f***ing LOVE that team. Second favorite team personally of mine. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:33 PM) We need Tyler Flowers to be good cause AJ sucks and I can't stand another year of him. Don't let Greg, Kenny_Hates_Prospects etc.. see this. They'll have the torches out.
-
QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:31 PM) good, if he signs here then I will credit you with the scoop. on the real. You heard it here first, SoxAce scooped the LeBron signs with Chicago story. Well I predicted Cleveland. But just looking at everything in hindsight and the "little things" gut is saying Chicago. Now I'm going to go eat and maybe punch it a few times to see if that changes. But if he goes to Cleveland like J4L said, he basically just gave Kobe championship number 6 of if Miami can add more for Wade and Bosh, the Cavs probably won't even beat them or even an aging (but better Rondo) Celtics team.

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:28 PM) I have been following @RicBucher and @Chris_Broussard for the past week. . . you're information is as good as any. I concur, spill it. Make me feel good. My gut says he'll be a Bull. My head says he'll be a Cav. So all in all, I agree with badger. The only thing that isn't putting it "over the top" is the dismissal of WWW. But I seriously believe he will choose Chicago. Then the pieces he has been saying about Chicago all year will come into play.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:22 PM) I don't think it is, as the gun has been consistent all game. It's not like the debacles in KC where Linebrink was "throwing" 98 mph. I'm talking more or less posters saying it everytime one of our guys is bringing it in a game. I'm sure there will be some "Thornton was not hitting 99, it was probably 95-97 on a normal gun."
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:23 PM) What kind of horses*** is that? Spill it... I said "hope" and "suspicion" not "speculation" or "inside source" Mark.
-
Thornton bringing it at 99. But of course I'm sure the WCIU gun is jacked up according to the soxtalk myth/posters.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:07 PM) Just to give you guys some false hope, guess where Lebron will be on Friday.... http://www.neobasketball.com/Tournaments/S...owcaseHome.html I actually kind of feel Lebron may come to Chicago. He waited until his Cleveland camp was over and now he makes his announcement the day before his Chicago camp? I got my own sneaky suspicion as well (as mostly hope) but I'm not gonna say a word about it till he announces it.
-
Outstanding call. I would like to see our guys stealing 2nd with a runner on 3B more often.
-
No disrespect to Kotsay and Jones, but I want Lillibridge DH'ing for a while. Dude is swinging a mean stick.
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:01 PM) Lillibridge clearly went through puberty this offseason, dude has some man muscle now apparently. He does have power (minor league numbers show it). Problem with him is he thinks he is a 20+ homer guy. I like how he is approaching the batters box this year though.

BRENT LILLIBRIDGE b****ES!! Night and Day better with the bat. Heads is in love again.....
