i'm not too upset about it. it would have been nice to give him a chance, but no big loss. i saw burkett's name come up earlier, why not give him a shot. at this point it probably won't take a lot of cash to sign him. i think he could get 10 wins and eat up some innings at the back of our rotation. he would be no worse than scho, cept he's a righty. plus he's a veteran and might teach someone a thing or two.

rex is right. i worked for a cable company for a bit inserting local commercials into national television streams, and that was probably the case here. espn probably had nothing to do with it. i do think the commerical is a bit odd. i can't say i've ever seen one like that.

exactly... i can't see the royals finishing above .500. if they have a run diff like that this year no way do they get to 500, and the batting avg. risp was luck too. no way will they hit .300 again, regression to the mean. extremes are not repeated, that's why they are extremes, and they will fall back to average. but the sox still won more games. honestly i don't think chemistry has much to do with winning. i think the sox can take this divison.

nope still have the same battery. battery problems were mainly with generation 1 ipods, i have a gen 2, they are at gen 3 now. however, at http://www.ipodbattery.com/ you can get a replacement battery for $50. i have heard very good things about this kit. the included screw driver is a plastic that won't even scratch your case. my battery lasts 10-12 hours and is over a year old. also you can use fire wire, which is faster than usb 2.0

its been snowing for 2 straight weeks, and i've shoveled/snowblown my driveway about 20 times already, and get to again tonight and tomorrow morning. then i get to do it all again tomorrow. saturday though... might get to 16. the best part is when i just finish shoveling, and then the plow comes and burries the end of the driveway... that rocks.

simon's ob% kind of scares me. after all the offense slumps the sox had last year i'd like to see someone who can just get on a base. of course if konerko is traded there isn't a lot of options either.

another good one i haven't seen mentioned is where they tie weather ballons to a lawn chair and see if they can fly. not quite as exciting, but interesting, is when they try to erase credit cards, on the show they seem to be pretty versatile. but damnit all mine go to hell in a month.
