  1. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 03:25 PM) Gload cut it off or was it Redding? shouldn't redding be backing up home?
  2. letting kochman play is the right move. if you put erstad in center then does figgins move around and play a different spot everyday again? or is finding a new home erstad a better idea. personally i would try to move erstad for whatever you can get. as far as the al west goes, i'd think oakland would have to be the favorites, especially if crosby can stay healthy. they've got good young pitching and a good defense... which was the strong point of the sox last year, and that worked out pretty nicely.
  3. according to espn if johnson has a season exactly like last year, and pitches just 4 more innings, he would earn 5.5 million, 6 if either turns down the mutual option. according to baseball reference the most similar pitcher to johnson is glendon rusch... who is set to make 2 million this year... thank you for throwing money down the drain for a guy who will throw 200 sub par innings.
  4. i don't get the whole money thing though.... according to this http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2251347 loretta is only going to make 3mil next year. i think even the padres could scrape up and extra 3 million to pay for a pretty good second baseman. and to only get mirabelli in return, who i wouldn't consider an everyday catcher? usually i think towers does a pretty good job, but i don't understand this at all.
  5. i go to the dome a couple times each year for sox games. i don't think it is quite as bad as everyone says it is. i'm not saying it is great or anything, and i think they do need a new stadium, but not as terrible as everyone makes it out to be. the concourse isn't very wide and most of the seats don't face home plate. the new turf makes it look a lot better. i was at uscf in 02 and then didn't make it back until this year. i really enjoyed the stadium. i thought it was great place to see a game. i think it has really gotten better the last few years. like everyone else i'd like to go to sbc. i thought pnc was also very nice. i've never been to any of the other stadiums on the list, but the worst i've been to is wrigley. although people i've talked to said yankee stadium is pretty bad.
  6. oh man..... this is so awesome... what a great game and a great way to finish it off 2005 Champs!
