No ESPN special to announce your return?

Ok, so the argument in favor of overturning Pro 8 was that it violates the constitution. Can anyone explain to me where in the constitution the concept of marriage is addressed, not just homo-sexual marriage, but marriage at all. Is "marriage" constitutional? This is not an attempt to invalidate the ruling, just trying to understand the legal context.
