  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 01:23 PM) Bill Simmons (@sportsguy33) thanks. added to my list
  2. I thought I would throw this out there, who are the people on Twitter to follow to track LBJ and Bosh? So far I have Marc Stein (@STEIN_LINE_HQ) Chad Ford (@chadfordinsider) Jalen Rose (@jalenrose) Chris Broussard (@Chris_Broussard) Send LeBron to Chicago (@LeBrontoChicago) Zach Zaidman?? (@ZachZaidman) K.C. Johnson (@kcjhoop) Sam Smith (@SamSmithHoops) Jason Goff (@jgoff670) ESPN 1000 (@ESPN1000) Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojyahoonba) David Aldridge (@daldridgetnt) Chris Sheridan (@CSheridanESPN) Chris Ballard (@SI_ChrisBallard) Ken Berger (@KBerg_CBS) Dwyane Wade (@dwadeofficial) Bill Simmons (@sportsguy33) Dan LeBatard (@LeBatardShow) Cleveland Plain Dealer (@clevelanddotcom) Ira Winderman (@IraHeatBeat) I have aggregated all of these accounts to LeBron Watch.
  3. Toronto has financial reasons to let Bosh walk (no sign and trade) - Chris Ford - If Bosh leaves for nothing, Raps will have $7.9 mil in cap space. If they sign-and-trade for Beasley & Chalmers, they'll stay over the cap Additionally- FWIW, I'm skeptical Bron would join Wade & Bosh in Miami. Think Bulls still have best shot if they could pair 'Bron with Dirk
  4. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 10:25 AM) Without checking IMDB, that looks like John Hurt of Alien and Contact fame. Well done. It is indeed John Hunt.
  5. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 07:13 PM) OK, is that Ian McKellen in the scene right after they show all of the kids and a goblin (or troll or whatever) on the broom? It looks like him, but I can't find anything about him being in it. I dont think so. Looks like Olivander, who is not played by Ian McKellen
  6. Not "summer" really, but I had the entire season of V on my DVR and I just started watching yesterday. So far I'm about half way in, and I'm loving it.
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 07:11 PM) World Wide Wes supposedly was Stephan A Smith's source. Where did you read/hear this? If true, then it absolutely leads credence to my theory that they are just playing with the media to make July the month of LeBron.
  8. Chad Ford - My predictions (subject to change): Bron & Johnson in Chi; Wade & Bosh in Mia; Amare & Gay in NJ; Dirk in Dallas; Boozer in NY; Lee in Utah
  9. I was listening to the score on the way home and Bernstein said something that got me thinking and let me try to flesh this out a bit. A sports ride at Yahoo Sports really believes that LeBron want to make this free agency period about him. He wants to own the NBA. He wants to be the man. He's "power hungry". As a result, Bernsie seems to think LeBron wants to really make huge noise about himself in July. Here's my thought: When it was leaked by WWW that LeBron and Bosh were headed to Chicago, LeBron couldnt make it seem to be a lock, even if it is. So, he "planted" a meeting with Bosh and Wade and that story included a part about how he was "un-committed" to Miami, but it was a front runner. Why? Smoke screen and more attention. It draws away room the Chicago rumors, opens up another market as potential. I think by Friday another team will be a "lock" to get LeBron (NY or NJ). And notice who wont be at all the meetings on Thursday? World Wide Wes. Ya know, they guy who said LeBron was a lock for Chicago.
  10. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 05:27 PM) Can you recall her dropping any hints? I would suggest keeping a notebook handy whenever she drops hints. Think long and hard about any hints she may have dropped and you'll have some ideas. I dont think so. Not that I know of. As of right now, i think my game plan is driving to Naperville, dinner to Lou Malnatis (her favorite pizza place) and then a walk on the River Walk. Still working on a back-up if it rains.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 04:52 PM) Videoconference? Not the way the story is being reported. They said very clearly it was a meeting in Miami. On a side note: as far as I have read, ONLY the guys from ESPN have reported that the three met. I dont think I've read it anywhere else. Steven A Smith said they were going to play for Miami, but didn't say they've met. If there was a meeting, I think it would be more widely known than just two guys from ESPN (a network with a lot to gain by drumming up hype on all this).
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 03:54 PM) Sounds like they are basically using infrastructure they've already paid for, rather than pay for new domain names. but if you type in ESPN.com, it redirects to ESPN.go.com. So, they already own that domain name. And moving databases shouldnt be too hard.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 03:37 PM) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go.com right, I've read all that before. It says "Go.com proved to be an expensive failure for its parent company, as web users preferred to use search engines to access content directly, rather than start at a top-level corporate portal." If it's a complete failure, why still use it? THat's what i was trying to get at.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 03:02 PM) WTF? Megan Fox married Brian Austin Green! I thought they were split-up and she was on the market for me to pursue again!?! he can have her
  15. What's the point of Disney and all their properties using go.com? espn.go.com, abc.go.com, disney.go.com It makes no sense to me.
  16. Speaking of my tampering rant: New Jersey Nets minority owner Jay-Z wines and dines free agent LeBron James in New York
  17. The more I process this, the more interesting and HIGHLY sceptically I am of the James/Wade/Bosh to Miami story. For almost a week it was a "lock" by almost all media sources that James and Bosh were headed to Chicago. At 6am on Monday, Steven A Smith reports James and Bosh are going to team with Wade in Miami. Less than 24 hours later, all of a sudden ESPN jumps on the story and says "me too! We heard it too! It's a lock." ESPN reports the meeting happened on Saturday, when it's a FACT the three where no where near each other, let alone in Miami. Wade's rep says 'you dumbass, he wasnt even in Miami' It just doesnt pass my smell test.
  18. The Riley rumor has been around for a while. Oh, and if Riley has been talking to LBJ, that's absolutely tampering.
  19. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 02:56 PM) Here's the thing. There was a couple reports that this happened MONDAY night, in which case it wouldn't matter where they were FRI-SUN. Steven a Smith reported it a done deal at 5:46 AM on Monday.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 02:52 PM) It's not as if private jets don't exist and Wade couldn't travel from Chicago to Miami in 2 hours. Chicago to Miami is a 3 hour trip, minimum. So even if Wade left the game at 9. He doesnt take off until 10 and LANDS in Miami at 2am Sunday morning (factoring in time change).
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 02:44 PM) But yeah, it's way more believable that LeBron, D-Wade, and Chris Bosh all sat down at a Southbeach restaurant while the whole planet is talking about them, and all these unnamed "sources" were incapable of pulling off a pic with their blackberry's as proof. there are ways of doing it in secret. Arrive at different times. Use a private room. Smoke screens of where the press thinks you are. I'm not saying it actually happened as the time frame doesnt match up, but it is possible.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 02:40 PM) Was this before or after his twitter beef with Chet Coppick? After
  23. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 02:34 PM) Cowley did claim he saw Wade's kid in the washroom at the Cell on Saturday afternoon... Via Joe Cowley (@cst_sox)- Forget Worldwide Wes, I was just in the bathroom with D Wade's son and nephew ... I know exactly what's going down come July 1.
  24. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 02:31 PM) You would be correct. D-Wade had to finalize his divorce and was in Chicago. Guess what? The Broussard report is completely false. Read below. Come on guys, there's a lot of bulls*** being slung around... I still the the Bulls are LeBron's likely destination for reasons I've already posted. Chris Broussard stands by his report - Marc Stein & I have multiple sources who saw the players in Miami Sat. denials r smart since meeting could b tampering, but our info is good Note the bold part.
