Sox shirt blonde looks like the type you know you will have a fun night with if you get invited into the apartment. Red/Blonde looks like a girl who would get along well with your parents when you brought her home. I vote Red/Blonde. SHe's more my type.

I am soooooooo happy to see that someone in the government has the balls to say "kick their asses out of here!" I understand why the Cubans would be allowed to stay. I dont TOTALLY agree with it, but I understand it.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 07:07 AM) The Simpsons have to be at the top of that list, cartoon or not. I thought that too! but, I think sitcoms are by definition a live, not cartoon. If it was "Top 10 Comedy TV Shows of the 90s" Simpsons would be #1.

QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 11:11 AM) Anyone have an idea of how much extra revenue the White Sox will generate with this Postseason windfall, in terms of ticket sales, concessions, and especially merch sales? I read a ballpark figure in the trib last week that said that they stand to make an additional 15-20 million if they make the World Series, but I think there's SO MUCH MERCH being bought right now that the figure MUST be higher. How high could the payroll be next year? Is the 100 million mark a possibility, or is it something more along the lines of 80-90 million? My guess is they will go with about 80-90. We factor in pay raises to key players and maybe add a player or two.

It was a dream come true. My now wife's family and her and I had a small family vacation in Debuque. We went to the field for a few hours. It was great! I'll never forget it.

Cleveland Brown “Franchise” History
HuskyCaucasian replied to HuskyCaucasian's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) Actually if I remember right, when the Ravens moved, they still had the Cleveland Browns history, but when the browns got a new expansion team, the city of Cleveland wanted the Browns history back and got it back. The players aren't the same but they have all of the history of the old Cleveland Browns. Sounds right, but I'm not sure. I thoguht it was promised by the NFL that if the team moved the city could keep the name and history and were promised an expassion team in the future. Either way, it still doesnt change my point. it's sooooooooooooo stupid! -
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) So CBS looks a lot better than Fox in High Definition? Because I just have a regular TV and CBS looks like s*** compared to Fox on that. Personally. I think so. I flip to CBS-HD and go "WOW"!! When i flip to FOX-HD i go "it's in HD"

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) CBS because for me AFC>>>>>NFC. This from the guy who has a Chiefs logo in your avatar

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 03:31 PM) that walk to strike out ratio scares the s*** out of me. I just looked at it year by year, 8 of those came in 5 innings of work back in 2003.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 01:10 PM) A Philosophical Question Can God make a turkey deep frier so big that even Chris Berman can deep fry himself in it? God is all powerful powerful and has unlimited strength, can he make a rock so heavy that he cant lift it? (Maybe he did, hence blackholes! lol)

QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) Ozzie does not look at stats? That is the only logical explanation there is. I rememeber hearing someone on the radio a while who had done an interview with Ozzie. About halfway though the interview, someone came in and gave him stats or a scouting report or something liek that, he took it, the person walked out and he threw it in the TRASH!!!

It depends on HOW you are watching it. There are differant factors to take into consideration... If you like awesome graphics work..... Fox If you like a standerd presentation..... CBS If you watch the game in High Def...... CBS blows Fox out of the water.

I am watching the Bears game today and growing increasingly annoyed when announcers say something to the effect of “this Cleveland Borwns franchise has a storied history” or “this team has 15 Hall of Famers”. No, actually they don’t have either. The Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore and became the Ravans and Cleveland was granted an expansion franchise starting in the 1999 season. This is not an “old” franchise, it’s only existed since 1999. I could understand if the team folded and suspended opperations for a few years then came back. But the whole franchise actually MOVED, players and all. I understand that the NFL is what decided to make this odd situation, but can it please stop? The Browns the Bears played in 1992 are now the Ravens. END OF STORY!!!!
