  1. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 23, 2005 -> 07:48 AM) Good for them...If they are goin to have the baskets then fix them up so the ball actually stays in the basket when hit into it...That place is such a s***hole. It is unbelievable that they don't fix anything when they sell out every game. My dad (a Cubs Fan) and i were talking about that same thing. I have seen a TON fo times where the ball wwent THROUGHT the bottom of the net and was either seen as a ball off the wall or was later corrected to a home run after protect from a manager. We both agreed there is NO reason those nets should not be attached at the bottom to stop balls from going through. Is it really so hard to run a wire throught net at the bottom then attach the wire to the wall every 3 feet or so?
  2. QUOTE(Wong & Owens @ May 22, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) http://www.mtve.com/article.php?ArticleId=5615&from=rss AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 20, 2005 -> 10:42 AM) As long as Cora doesn't signal somebody to turn right, I'm ok with it. LMAO!!!!!!!!!
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 20, 2005 -> 08:19 AM) I hope to hell that never happens. It would spill over into the stands ... undoubtedly. What a nightmare that could turn into. Nothing bad ever happens ar Wrigley though. So, no need to worry.
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 19, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) I hope the same thing doesn't happen to the families on Extreme Makeover Home Edition because I really like that show and would be extremely disappointed. The one things that you see every week is contractors that build not just large houses, but houses that are solid and well constructed. THat dont cut corners. The only concerns with these houses is that they are built for families that often cant afford the massive increase in taxes.
  6. In the Fox tradition... take a show that works on another network, make it about a 7th of what the original is, add some sort of sex element (The Dahm Triplets) then add a twist. Result, shows that suck ass yet still get ratings because of stupid Americans.
  7. Mine: Drew Barrymore My Fiancee: Puff Daddy (I cant live up to these expectations. lol) My Dad: Smurfette My Sister: Noah Wyle My Mom: Derek Jeter
  8. I will give the XBox 360 credit for using wireless controllers. I hope the batteries have a long life, so that worries me. other than that, i like the concept.
  9. QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ May 12, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) Um, the current Xbox already does have high-definition support for nearly all it's games. So will Rev and as you said PS3. They're just having all the 360 games support 720p instead of just 480p. You are correct sir. My mistake.
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ May 12, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) The graphics were underwhelming, and were merely a notch or two above what the Xbox can currently produce. Well, the improvemnt is that XBox 360 will be HD. However, that is a moot point since PS3 will be HD as well with better equipment.

    XBox 360

This XBox 360 Release show sucks big time. On top of that, other than it's look, the system isnt all that impressive. PS3 is gonna blow it out of the water.
  12. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ May 11, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) Does this mean we will start seeing DVD's come out in 2 different formats kinda like what they do with wide-screen and full-screen now? Or will it be 4 different formats (including wide and full)??? THat has yet to be figured out., I read something a while back about High def DVDs that would have a layer dedicated to High Def and one for standard def. If that is the case, then it would be very easy to have one DVD for all, but I dont see that happening. I think it will be much like how we transitioned from VHS to DVD. The two DVD formats will live side-by-side until High Def DVD players are cheap enough fro everone to afford, then regular DVDs will be phased out.
  13. This is HUGE for WIND. I recently wrapped up a 13 week internship there and I know they were looking for something to give them a spark since they are a new station. Well, they got it now!
  14. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 10, 2005 -> 04:28 AM) Ah, what a shame it will be when all the Flubs fans going to the game might not even get to see their Sham-ME. THanks for the money Cubs Fans! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
  15. I have lived in Schaumburg since I was born on July 30th, 1983. That would make me 21 years old and a life long resident of the NW suburbs.
  16. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ May 10, 2005 -> 10:34 AM) I hope this doesn't mean I have to go out and buy a new DVD player to play all the new DVDs I'll want to get... If you have a High Def TV and want to buy High Def DVDs, then you will have to buy a new player. If you are just fine with your standard def TV and DVDs, then you wont have to buy a new one.

  18. QUOTE(The Critic @ May 8, 2005 -> 08:53 AM) Heard on SportsCenter this morning that MLB is opening an internal investigation on Barry Bonds, following a federal investigation regarding possible tax evasion/tax fraud charges. Seems that there's serious concern that Bonds could actually face jail time if charged/convicted. Al Capone was brought down by tax issues.
  19. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ May 9, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) For those of us who are held hostage to watching TV baseball I thought you woud like to know that the Thursday night game versus Baltimore will be on WGN. Maybe I am too synical about this, but I find this VERY interesting for several reasons. WGN almost NEVER gives weekday primetime programming to baseball (Cubs or Sox) because they are too busy airing WB crap. However, they are willing to give time to the SOX (not owned by Trib Co) on a THursay night when the sox just "happen" to be playing a home game against the O's who just "happen" to employ Sammy Sosa. Anyone else find it a little fishy that Trib Co wants to air Sosa's home comming? I see two reasons here: 1) They want to cash in on Sosa Ass lickers watching the game to see perfect Sammy 2) They want to show that the Cubs are better off without Sammy.
  20. It just makes me wonder if Chrysler realizes that the reason people drive OTHER types of cars is that they arent payed enough to afford a good DaimlerChrysler.

  22. This is something I have honestly been wondering over the last few weeks... Why would the Virgin Mary choose such ODD place to "appear" to the masses? In the last 3 months or so, she has appeared on a highway underpass, a cheese sandwich, and the bottom of a turtle. Wouldn’t it have been more advantageous for her to interrupt primetime network TV and just say "Hey everyone. I'm here. Just thought you should know. ...... Believe in God. Bye."
  23. QUOTE(Steff @ May 3, 2005 -> 09:30 AM) Last night was the first time I had watched the "How'd they do that" show detailing the previous nights makeover. I was definitely chocked up when they were showing Ty and his secret room. He's a special man with a huge heart.. That is exactly right. PS: My fiancee had a kleenex box in her lap the whole show. lol
