  1. In the week before the Super Bowl, Pauly said that he wants to get the NFL back into LA, either through exspansion or a team moving. Let me start of by saying ANOTHER exspansion is a BAD BAD BAD idea. Talent in ALL sports is getting spread too thin once you hit 30 teams. Therefore, I think it would be bad for the NFL to add 1 or 2 more teams. So, that leaves moving a team there. My question is... WHO? (Key: By new stadium I mean a recently constructed stadium that has the team locked there for over 10 years) Buffalo - Havent Expressed Interest in Leaving Jets- Working on a new stadium Dolphins - Seem to like Miami / Long history there Patriots - New Stadium / 3 time NFL champion Ravins - New Stadium Bengles - New Stadium Browns - New Stadium Stealers - New Stadium Texans - New Stadium / Recent expansion team Colts - New Stadium to be built soon Jaguars - New Stadium Titans - New Stadium Broncos - New Stadium KC - New Stadiums/Upgrades for Royals and Chiefs in negotiation Raiders - Would they move back to LA if a new stadium was built? Chargers - Signed and agreement to stay in SD until 2008 and hope to have a new stadium built soon there after. Dallas - New Stadium to be built soon Giants - Working on a new stadiun Philly - New Stadium Washington - New Stadium Bears - DUH! Lions - New Stadium GB - Never LEaving there Minnesota - New Stadium to be built soon Falcons - Seem content there. but might they want a new one soon? Carolina - New Stadium / Recent Expasnsion Team Saints - Wants a new stadium (can opt out of current agreement in 2007) and has New Orleans by the balls. They cant afford to lose the Saints and the Super Bowl. Tampa - New Stadium Arizona - New Stadium Rams - seem content there San Fran - REALLY want a new stadium, hasnt gotten one yet Seattle - New Stadium
  2. QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 02:47 PM) "Potentially interested" in the bears, and browns I wonder if that translates to.... "We want to talk to you. Give us a call"?
  3. His agent said he potentially interested in Chicago... although they were one in a list of like 10. lol
  4. QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 02:34 PM) They called his agent left a message. Edge just didnt want to answer s*** . By league rules, I dont think you are allowed to say... "I want to play for the bears" publicly when you are under contract with another team. You can say it to management, but not publicly.
  5. I think keeping the #4 and trading the second rounder for Edge is WAY too costly. That is a boat load of money the Bears would need shell out and we are already darn close to the cap. So, if they were to trade for Edge then we HAVE to trade the #4 for either a future first rounder or some lower pics in this draft. The money just isnt there.
  6. LosMediasBlancas, I've heard of a similar urban legand. It's hysterical.
  7. Eye, where did you find that? THat is hysterical. I highly doubt it is a true story. lol
  8. Anyone else read the title of the thread and wonder why the Southeastern Conference was investigating Halliburtin? lol
  9. QUOTE(Molto @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 09:57 PM) I was gonna say to watch this week and see if it's a replay week, but new episodes. Just after I posted that, i realized that Comedy Central Reruns a Daily Show episode at 10:30 after the new one. Typically it is the previous day's, but accordign to their website, today's rerun is from March 2. I hope that's right. *crosses fingers*
  10. Let this be a warning to all of you. Get a DVR! You can't record over stuff and you actively have to delete an item.
  11. QUOTE(Molto @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 09:23 PM) perhaps you can use a laptop to show it? I'm assuming you are just looking for a "news" story they showed, right? what topic are you doing it on anyway? I got mine on the 24th, I think. My laptop would work, but i dont have a video out on it and i would have to stream it live but i dont know how to get into the schools wireless network. I am trying to primarily get the story about NBC news screwing up, but I was also looking to get the "International Pamphlet" My group is doing a presentation on “Non-Mainstream” news sources and late night talk shows.
  12. I recorded an episode of the Daily Show on March 2nd. I was going to use it for a class project on March 17th, but I just got home from work and found out my fiancee just RECORDED OVER IT!!!!!!! It had EXACTLY what we are talking about in the presentation. Is there anywhere I can find it? I really need this. Comedy Central has the show online, but i cant download it and it is not "broadcast quality" so it wouldnt look good on a TV.
  13. QUOTE(Kogs35 @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 10:13 AM) i guess no1 has heard infinity radio has order all stations to redo there mlb deals and or sign no new contracts because of the xm deal? i will edit with details later I heard that too. However, i dont know if it was a demand or more like a suggestion. I could understand if there was only one sports station in the market and it wouldnt really hurt to lose a team to a non-sports station. but here in Chicago, we have two stations duking it out, The Sox and Bulls will pull ratings to a station that is down on its luck due to POOR programming. Infity would be stupid to not let THe Score snag the Sox and Bulls.
  14. One of the Mounties was the Godchild of my pastor at church. very sad.
  15. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 11:34 AM) Wait so all this time I could have been listening to Sox games on 1580 AM instead of listening to poor reception on AM 1000? I'm guessing they don't do Spring Training. Maybe during the day, but I DOUBT you will get a good signal at night. They drop to 10 Watts at night. Thatsa really bad broadcast strength. MAYBE a 5 mile radius. lol
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 11:25 AM) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=596167 OOPS! Sorry, i didnt see that. I checked before I posted, but I guess that thread slipped through. My bad.
  17. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 11:04 AM) I really would love to see the Sox on the score. I like ESPN ten times more, but the Score has 3 times the reception ESPN does, and you can get the Score all the way to central Wisconsin.... Yea, I completely agree. I was going to suggest trying to find a White Sox Radio Affiliate in Wisconsin, but when I went to look, there are none. White Sox Radio Affiliates I travel to Iowa and they have affiliates, but they are so low wattage that you cant get them wehre I am, and I cant get MVP half the time, so Sox games are impossible. But I can pick up the Score.
  18. WMVP may lose its grip on Sox WGN is going after the Bulls?
  19. I go to Subway around 3 times a week. So, that is where I would go everyday if I could afford it. lol
  20. So let me see if i understand this article correctly.... if the teams accepted this proposal, this firm would own ALL the teams instead of them being independently owned? That's an interesting idea.
  21. With The Score falling apart at the seams I began to wonder, “what if The Score ever closed down and Chicago only had one sports station? What would the ultimate ALL Chicago sports station lineup consist of?” So, what do you think? If you could take all the on-air talent between 670 and 1000 and make a lineup, what would it be? Mine- 6-10: JHood and Dan Jiggets (not your typical “wacky” morning show, but I like the combo) 10-2: Boers and Bernsie 2-6: Mac, Jurko, and Harry 6-10: Jessie Rogers and (Laurence Holmes??) (I would LOVE to pull Kaplin and Waddle away from WGN for this spot, btu i doubt it would be possible) 10P-6A: Sporting News or ESPN Network feed
  22. I think he belongs in, but i am SOOOOOOOOOOO tired of all the whining and complaining about him not getting in but not only Santo but by Tribune mouth pieces. So with that being said, I hope he doenst amke it in.
  23. The Score just reported that Conseco has postponed his book signing tour due to death threats.
  24. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 07:46 AM) so it would be pretty easy to interpret that verse as saying He is depending on him to do this important job and the church depends on it, not you are to be the leader of the church, if taken in its full context. See, that is a very fine line. I believe that the Church on earth needs a leader. I am a Lutheran and we have a President. BUT, our president is not "higher" than all others on earth. We dont kiss his hand everytime we see him. He is simply a leader. He is falable. He disnt have the right to alter our beliefs. He is in charge of maintaining them.
