I am sorry for my bad Photoshoping. But as you can see, If you move homeplate back without redoing the foul lines, the Foul poles would be about 270 ft from home plate. Yes this is nice, but that is only moving homeplate back 5-10. Is it really worth the extra 5 ft in the outfield?

Then you have to reconfigure the foul lines. Moving the plate back would cause the foul lines to move allong the walls and be more like 300ft down the lines. Not to mention there would be almost NO foul territory.

I would loev to see the fences moved back. I loved it when Durham would hit a ball down the line and walk into 3rd with a triple. But as you said, there is no place for them to move back. Maybe in center, bu that is about it.

I have been thinking the exact same thing. I wonder if that is something that he will bring out in court.

At the very end, Crum was asked if Dusty knew about all this. Crum said yes, but Dusty was told to keep his mouth shut.

He also added that Hendry apperently didnt care that Greshner wasnt licensed because he never acted on it. Crum just added that he went to Hendry, the Stadium inspections were going on. All someone needed to do was ask for a license and the whole staff could have been shut down.

Crum's lawyer said that during the entire 2004 season, Crum was the ONLY trainer on the staff licensed in Illinois. He says Crum was fired because he called out Greshner (sp?) for not being licensed.

Exactly. I have a feeling more will come out as time goes on. I dont think he wants to spill all his beans in his first press conference. Why give the Tribune Corp. time to prepare a defense? Spring the good stuff on them in a trial when they may not be expecting it.

George Offman reports that Crum is a wistleblower. Crum had a 3 hour meeting with Hendry during the season saying that the head trainer at the time did not have a Illinois trainers license. He also told Hendry that Greshner (sp?) often acted unproffesionally in the trainers room and his treatment of players may have made their injuries even WORSE!

Well, the Press COnferance isnt over yet and no one is carrying it live that I know of. Basically, he his filling a wrongful terminataion lawsuit. Boresa and Bernsie have been saying all afternoon that right after he got fired that he was the guy to watch. He knows stuff that Trib Corp. probably doesnt want to get out.

The thing I like the most is that it really doenst look like a stadium from the outside. I mean, you know it is, but I think it looks more like an office building.
