I am not saying Boras is bad at what he does. He is the BEST agent in all of sports. No doubt in my mind. But I also understand where the White Sox are coming from when they say they dont want to deal with him. Not that they dont like his clients, they just refuse to pay the inflated prices for his clients. Let other teams outbid for players and be held as a financial hostage.

I like where he siad the Sox spent like a small market team. Last i checked, they spent nearly $70 million on payroll. If it werent for teams like New York and Boston, the sox wouldnt look so bad. Excluding the top 3 spending teams, and the bottom 3 spenidng teams, the league average is $65,975,506 (according to the numbers on ESPN.com). Last I checked, we are spending ABOVE the league average. I dont have a problem with that. You can win spening $70 million, unfortunetly, we had several KEY injuries that we couldnt over come.

Boras is actually a really good spin doctor. I dont think he is "professional and very informative". I think he is a weasle and sly. He'll do anything to get his client max dollars, even when they arent worth as much as they get.

Agreed! Is he good? Yes. Is he an All-Star? Yes. Is he worth 20 million a year over 10 years? Not even close. People like Boras need to realize that the economics of baseball has changed and teams are realizing that if you want to be good, you cant go giving 20 million a year. Boras's requests for Beltran and Mags are going to be rediculus and no one will pay it.

If you bring in Stoney, you have to get rid of Hawk as well as DJ. Stoney and Hawk could NEVER co-exist.

The old Fox Sportsnet channel. In my area (schaumburg) it is 38. Fox Sports Net got LAUNCHED all the way up to channel 91. THat is a HUGE smack in the face.

He would be 37 when his contract expires. MOST players decline in ability when they hit mid 30s. So, there is potentially 2 or 3 years there where he might be dead weight.

why in a MILLION years woudl you give a 10 year contract to ANYONE? He could blow out a knee in year one and never be the same and then you are stuck with a HUGE weight around your neck. I ONLY sign beltron to a 10 year deal if the last 4 or 5 years are contingent on 2 year team options.

Moore was on Leno on Friday night. He said he was very upset that Sinclar Broadcasting was airing the anti-Kerry movie but wasnt offering an anti-Bush film. Sinclair has said that if Kerry wants to sit down with them and do an interview, they will air it. (Personally, I dont believe it.) But, Moore said that he will offer his movie FREE to Sinclair to air in responce to the anti-Kerry film.

There are actually 2 internets to be honest. One is what is now the common internet. It started as a research net, but as time has gone by it expanded into what we now call the internet. Recently, I believe a second internet was started. Since the current internet has gone away from research and thought shareing (turned into a free for all porn shop) they started a pure research net. I dont have a link and I am going on memory on this one. But Bush was kind of right. There are at least 2.
