Yeah, mostly likely that is true. I was just saying that the scheduling makes it a possibilty.

August 2 is a strong possibility. Both teams have it off on their schedule. It would have to be an afternoon game though as it would be a travel day for the Phillies. The Phillies would be finishing a series against the Cubs in Wrigley and would be in town but would be on their way to San Diego next. The Sox would be on their way to Kansas City after finishing a series in Detroit. It could be done if both teams want to make it happen.

I doubt that Ozzie or Kenny would allow Jose be traded. It is a team chemistry issue more than anything. The Sox most likely will add without subtracting off of the MLB roster. Just like last year.

I loved it when the ump argued with Ozzie, tossed him.. then sat there and had to listen to about 27,000,000 Spanish and English curse words.. Gets back behind the plate *WHAM!* Foul tip knocks his mask off! That had to hurt like hell...

The electoral college eliminates the chance of widespread voter fraud.. In Illinois, the old saying "vote early and often" was a commonly heard of practice in the early 1960s with Richard M Daley and John Kennedy's elections. It was said that votes were tallied from voters that were deceased. If there was a voter fraud situation in a state like New York, Illinois or California, (That IS a stretch, I know) then the electoral college keeps a balance in the other states. So, with the electoral college, there is more of a possibility that the person wanted by the majority of the USA gets into office. 2000 was a fluke, I really doubt that it will happen again. Clinton got an electoral college landslide in 1996 but only got 50% of the popular vote, Dole got 42%. Clinton got 2/3rds of the electoral college votes in 1992, yet received only 43% of the popular vote, as opposed to George Bush Sr's 38%. Honestly, there hasn't been a majority victory since Reagan steamrolled Mondale in 1984. Politics in the two party system will always be back and forth, bickering and complaining. There will always be close elections and there will always be debate. That's how the American political system works.
