You younger guys gotta remember that this was the end of the polyester period where everyone wore it as a uniform. Even the Yankees and Dodgers. It was the age of astroturf, new space age technology in ballparks and trucker caps. Old unis and Comiskey pretty much were against the style of the time.

It's funny that the '87-'90 unis are the "pariah" of Sox unis, though. They're just bland, not classic or zany like their predecessors or the present uni.
