  1. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 01:56 PM) Just off the top of my head, Kareem Abdul Jabaar, Ralph Sampson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Bill Walton, Alonzo Mourning, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Moses Malone, Rick Smitts, Shaquille O'Neal, Robert Parrish, Mark Eaton, Dikembe Mutombo...might be missing a few more but damn. Olajuwon, Ewing, Robinson, Smits, O'Neal, and Mutombo are the only true 7 footers who were in their prime when Jordan played. Kareem, Sampson, Walton, Malone and Parrish were past their prime (plus Malone was only 6'9"). Mourning was only 6'10", and Eaton was a huge stiff.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 11:24 AM) You don't need every stadium to have a dome, you don't need to chop 2 weeks off the regular season, you just need to spend the first week of every season with teams from the Central playing the West. Start Cleveland, Minny, and the Sox with a 1 week road trip every year and this isn't a problem. I've been saying this for the last 10 years at least. Why can't MLB do this?
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 12:02 AM) Baby

  8. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5057/554708...b65535007_o.png I kinda liked the one on the far right of the left photo. You younger guys gotta remember that this was the end of the polyester period where everyone wore it as a uniform. Even the Yankees and Dodgers. It was the age of astroturf, new space age technology in ballparks and trucker caps. Old unis and Comiskey pretty much were against the style of the time.
  9. It's funny that the '87-'90 unis are the "pariah" of Sox unis, though. They're just bland, not classic or zany like their predecessors or the present uni.

  18. Legendary Blues Pianist Pinetop Perkins passed away at 97.
  19. Notre Dame losing was due to a series of cold shooting games. I believe they came about because the starters got major fatigue at the end of the year due to Brey's unwillingness to play his bench during the season. The team only went 7 deep and the starting 5 averaged 30 minutes a game.
