  1. How about: Justin Upton Ramirez Dunn Konerko Quentin Rios Pierzynski Morel Lillibridge
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 4, 2010 -> 10:58 AM) Heath Bell has to be available right now. I wonder if the Sox have anything SD would want. Flowers and Viciedo?
  3. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 4, 2010 -> 02:04 AM) Neon Deon? Yep. Your turn.
  4. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 09:53 PM) Danny Ainge. You sir are correct. Here's a softball (easy) question. Who's the last person to play in the World Series and the Super Bowl? The correct answer-er has to ask the next question.
  5. I think that it's the "Randy" factor.
  6. I'll start. Who is the only athlete in modern pro sports history to be involved in an MLB perfect game and win an NBA title? Hint: the person was not the pitcher who got the perfect game.
  7. QUOTE (Wanne @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 07:57 PM) Not to be a nitpicker cause I'm ready for ST to start tomorrow...but somebody could have buttoned the jersey up at the presser. They didn't button Thome's I don't believe. Besides, the jersey won't button over a suit. It would have to be huge.
  8. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 07:52 PM) I am not so sure. There is no way he or any other team thinks he is worth $14 million after this year (let alone this). If he wants to play some more baseball, I could see him re-signing with the Sox for like two years at $14 million. Obviously, he is only would play here or St. Louis. But if Paulie is back and the Sox do well next year, I wouldn't shut the door on Mark. As well, the guy would be willing to sign on the discount as he is not a guy about the money. BTW, any Asian relievers out there from the Japanese leagues? You can usually get get one to two good years out of a solid pitcher there. Buehrle shouldn't have to take a discount. He has a better resume' than he did 4 years ago. Any Japanese players have to be released from their contracts by their owners in order to come over to the U.S. This involves MLB clubs bidding on them via posting fees just to get the right to talk to them about signing. Or, they have to "retire" - which means that they are on the decline and may not be good enough for MLB.
  9. Jim Thome hit a bomb that plunked one of the Sox logo section signs that hang over the top of the stairs in each bleacher section.
  10. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 07:08 PM) Considering their pinched payroll, losing a couple of 1st rd picks would be a big loss for the Heat. I would love that. Yeah, yeah! Luxury tax bill of about $25 mil plus loss of two 1st rounders. I like the way you think.
  11. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 07:15 PM) I'm starting to feel like we are being set up for a Paul Konerko heel turn where he signs with the Twins or something. It's like WWE!
  12. Perhaps the NBA could void Wade's Bird rights with the Heat and force Miami to have to pay luxury tax for being over the cap.
  13. If they're deferring cash til next year, it means that Buehrle may be going bye-bye after this season.
  14. Almost 12 mil per? No way that he's worth that.
  15. QUOTE (bobryansson @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 03:31 PM) Get TCQ a headshrink- (I think I heard.) Check. Any chance that the shrink would take on Beckham too?
  16. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 10:27 AM) The conventional wisdom was that St. Louis would have gotten a team, not Jacksonville. Ironically, the Jags inaugural season was the same year the Rams moved to LA. The Rams left LA that year - I believe that's what you meant.
  17. Here's one that I saw on TV tonight, Jim. Good for the holidays http://chocolatechipotle.typepad.com/choco...in-martini.html
  18. QUOTE (pktmotion @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 11:11 PM) I just thought of something we have "Shrek" (Castro) and "Donkey"(Dunn). I wonder who Puss in boots is? Alexei
  19. QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 11:09 PM) Doesn't Freddy have to sign with the White Sox first? He'll be back if needed.
  20. QUOTE (Real @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 11:07 PM) Inverted W + Limited IP in his college career + Small frame + high 90's FB = blown UCL before August? The way it's going, he'll start in AAA, and Freddy will be the #5 SP again til Peavy returns. PS - Outside of the W comment, it sounded like Lincecum.
  21. QUOTE (daa84 @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 10:51 PM) cliff lee please Uh. What?
