I bet Jurjens has lingering effects from his injuries this year. On the surface, they seem to have given up a few above average spects for a decent vet SS, but I think it was a $$ dump by Atl more than anything.

Gordon/Thomas/Sefalosha/Noah along with the 2008 #1 will get it done probably. Keeps Hinrich and Deng in house then.

You heard it here first - Dennis Erickson will leave Arizona St. in the offseason if they make the BCS this year. Also, Az St. will be suspended from postseason play in 2009 by the NCAA for infractions made by Erickson and his staff during the time that he was there.

I have no faith in Vizquel offensively and Eckstein is not much better than Uribe and plays D worse. I'd say give him his option and look for SS trade options mid/late 2008.
