Man, they need to instill some type of clause in Alexei's contract. I don't think he should get paid for the month of April.

I can't remember and I don't feel like looking it up. Is this similar to Roy's injury? -
QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 06:54 PM) IMO, Peavy is pitching like an ace right now. I know there is a lot of game left for him to get shelled, but aces stop losing streaks and it starts by shutting their bats off early in the game. Jake understands how to pitch in these situations and I'm happy to have him on our staff. He'd be the CY if the season ended today (haha). Yeah, he's been great. Brent Morel? He needs to quit the sport of baseball. I'm sick of him. He has no skills.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 06:44 PM) How much of the bench mob do they lose this offseason? Asik and Taj, right? I'm nowhere near as in tune with basketball salaries/contracts as I am baseball. Why would they lose those two? -
Somebody get Brent Morel a Walmart application. He should not be getting paid to play baseball.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 06:20 PM) I'm going to bet the s*** out of the Bulls against the Celtics...Its not the colossal loss that most fans think...obviously they're better off with him, I just don't think they're nearly as bad off w/o him as the betting public will think... They're not as bad. They've proven that. But there's no Bobcats, Pistons, Wizards, Cavaliers, Bucks and Nets to feast off of in the playoffs. They should definitely beat Philly. Boston? That'd be real tough. They're something like 24-8 since late February. If Allen is healthy, I just don't see it. -

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 05:58 PM) They'll still get Chicago. Even if they do, that's going to be one titanic-sized asterisk attached to the Heat's eventual conference title. It'll be bigger than when the Knicks beat Chicago in '94. -

Gotta give props to the Heat fans at realgm. They all think this is horrible and wanted to go through Chicago again. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 05:42 PM) If Watson plays all the time like he played in the first half today, the Bulls could still beat Miami, but its obviously unlikely. Hopefully the rehab goes smoothly and DRose is back to being DRose in a minimal amount of time. If he could do that all the time, he'd be a starter and making a lot more money than he does. -

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 05:40 PM) Nah this team has too much heart. Best case scenario they'll make it back to the ECF to get beat by the Heat again. I can't see them beating Boston, assuming they beat Atlanta. Rondo would be able to do whatever the hell he wants. -

You have to wonder if the Bulls will be too demoralized to even beat Philly now. Not that it really matters, I guess. -

This is terrible. I know everybody thinks I love to trash the Bulls. But this really, really sucks. I wanted to be proven wrong. And Miami is going to have the easiest road to the finals in NBA history. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 05:14 PM) Knee surgery isn't as bad as it used to be. DRose will return and be fine most likely. Look at all the NFL running backs that had ACL and MCL surgeries. It used to be a death sentence, not necessarily these days. I'm not saying his career is over. I'm just saying that (worst case scenario) two years could possibly be wiped out by this. The Bulls have a window here to win a title. It might've just closed permanently. Again, that's worst-case scenario. -

This could end up being the darkest day in Bulls history (even worse than Michael's first retirement, which felt like a death). This season would obviously be over. More than likely next season as well. The Bulls will never, ever land another superstar through trade or FA, obviously. Yikes. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 04:56 PM) Most people just don't go in for an MRI and have the results in 15 minutes. Its going to be a while before anything official comes out. The Bulls players seem to think he's done for the playoffs. I just hope its nothing that will permanently slow him down at all. This year he was an accident waiting to happen and it happened. Wouldn't he miss a big chunk of next year if it's torn? -

QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 03:15 PM) These two things don't go together. I feel really terrible about this, it's ruined my mood. I hope D-Rose is okay. I know Thibs is an intense guy. But he just look defeated up there. He got really agitated when he was questioned about leaving Rose in with the game well in hand. Hopefully Goth's source is right and not just full of s***. -
