  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 3, 2012 -> 09:51 AM) It wasn't just last year in the finals. That was just sorta a nice crescendo after the "Decision". People have said things like that for years. Last year in the finals wasn't his first disappearance (Remember the Celtics pre-decision?) and there's another guy right there talking about Lebron being bailed out by the dominant talent that was Mo Williams. But then you had the game 5 against the Pistons in '07 when he scored their last 29 or 30 points or whatever it was. He scored 45 against the Celtics in game 7 in '08. What about the game 2 miracle against the Magic in '09? And then the aforementioned Boston/Chicago series last year. He's had plenty of big game, clutch moments. Yes, I know they lost that game 7 in '08. But LeBron did everything he could. They had no business being in a game 7 against that great Boston team.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 3, 2012 -> 09:37 AM) You're right, he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. When he's the clear best player in the league, his team isn't supposed to lose at the end of the game after he gets the ball in his hands. When that happens...repeatedly...it's going to fall on him. Repeatedly as in the finals. He was never criticized before that. Hell, he chewed up Boston and Chicago last year in clutch situations.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 3, 2012 -> 09:28 AM) It would have been a lot more muted if he'd passed to an open guy for the GW bucket. Instead he threw it to 4 west defenders. He had an open but difficult shot, with no one else on his team in position to shoot, and he defaulted to passing anyway. I'm one who always says that the isolation game at the end of a game is the worst play you can draw up, and that teams should run their offense. But if a guy has an open shot and the rest of the offense has broken down or been put out of position, you take that shot and then criticize the coach later for the fact that the offense broke down. But we're talking about LeBron James. After last year's finals, he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt in situations like that. Had that happened with anybody besides LeBron, there would've been nothing said about it.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 3, 2012 -> 09:23 AM) Except for the fact that he threw a horrible pass. A ridiculously low percentage shot is better than throwing the ball away. But he wasn't criticized for making a bad pass. It could've been a perfect pass. He was criticized for not taking the last shot.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 3, 2012 -> 07:52 AM) Steve SMith on NBAtv last night nailed that play with Lebron. As soon as he got the ball, he knew he was passing because he took one dribble and bounce passed. Didn't try and create, go to the hole, get fouled. Nothing. Yup. The all-star game criticism was lame. Those passes were warranted, as he would've been forced into ridiculously low percentage shots. Last night was unacceptable.
  6. Silence Snookie haters. That girl is all that. Plus she wakes up drinkin'. I love it.
  7. Frank Dan Pasqua Warren Newson Ellis Burks Juan Pierre
  8. Awful, awful, awful. This is a disgusting, despicable tragedy. First they f*** up the draft/international system, now this? Selig's motto: when it ain't broke; fix it. I always said I'd put a bullet in my brain before I became a hockey fan. But I think the time is now. Who are the top players today? Mario Lemuix? Mark Messiah? Who else?
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 03:24 PM) +80 It's not like he was traded to the Bobcats. He ended up with the f***ing defending champs. He and Dirk together would be a match-up nightmare at that position. But noooooo. Crybaby Lamar didn't want to leave LA. Ever. Therefore he can't play basketball anymore.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 03:18 PM) Lamar Odom to the D-League? Wow, never figured Kris would be the best of the basketball-playing Kardashians. lol. That fool fell apart when he got traded. It's pathetic. Man the f*** up and earn your millions, p****.
  11. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 12:58 PM) We're talking about the Heat front court now. And it's not as good. He was thoroughly outplayed by Chris Bosh last year and in the one regular season game this year.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 11:11 AM) You might have actually posted something not completely retarded today. That's a big "if", but also a good point. You just said the R word.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 10:33 AM) Not as a starter, given he doesn't take many walks that's a pretty big hole and below replacement level. You're underestimating the lack of talent at 3B today. It's borderline SS shallow. You've got Longoria, Zimmerman, Beltre. Those are the elite. Then you've got guys like Sandoval (long as his weight is under control), Youk, a declining Pay-rod and Aramis. Brett Lawrie should be a good one. But the position sucks. If Morel can hit .275-.280, 15 HR, .310 OBP - something along those lines - with + defense at third, you're doing well.
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 1, 2012 -> 11:53 PM) I was actually going to post the stats from every single game he's played vs the Lakers in the playoffs knowing you'd respond with EXACTLY this but I was too lazy. Hint, his numbers aren't nearly as bad as you make it seem. He's played them in 3 series and he was pretty dominant in one. The fact that the Jazz lost all three series isn't entirely on Boozer. Pretty sure he averaged a double-double in all 3. I didn't say the guy averaged 10 and 6. He had some good games. I can remember a 20/20 game one of those years. But the guy overall struggled against the length and athleticism of that Laker front-court. He rarely shot a good percentage and he was perpetually turning the ball over and in constant foul trouble. And scoring 25 one game doesn't mean as much when Gasol is getting 30 on the other end. Of course you can't lay it all on one guy for losing to the same team three years straight. But he was a big part of it. Ask Williamtell.
  15. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 1, 2012 -> 08:35 PM) BTW, Boozers playoff stats in 4 seasons w/ Utah: 06-07: 23.5 pts, 12.2 reb, 2.9 ast, .536 fg% 07-08: 16.0 pts, 12.3 reb, 2.8 ast, .415 fg% 08-09: 20.6 pts, 13.2 reb, 2.2 ast, .528 fg% 09-10: 19.7 pts, 13.2 reb, 2.9 ast, .530 fg% Last year w/ CHI: 10-11: 12.6 pts, 9.7 reb, 1.8 ast, .433 fg% in about in 6-8 less minutes. Now show us his numbers vs the Lakers. That's the team that owned him. Make sure you include fouls and turnovers. Trust me. It's ugly.
  16. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Mar 1, 2012 -> 04:39 PM) He's not the 1/2 option on this team. With a healthy squad, he's more like the 4th option Luol Deng is going to be chasing LeBron around for 40 minutes. Hamilton same with Wade (although he won't play as many minutes). Boozer is going to have to do something.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 1, 2012 -> 04:20 PM) Boozer was also banged up like crazy in that series. But that's to be expected, honestly. Boozer has a long and decorated history of folding against the elite come playoff time. Ask any Jazz fan what happened to Boozer when it was time to go up against the Laker front-court.
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 1, 2012 -> 04:16 PM) No one is saying that only Rose and Noah would need to score to beat the Heat. I was merely pointing out that if the series started today, the Bulls would be in a better spot because Noah is street balling. You blew off Hamilton's importance as if he's not a big deal. He's a very big deal. Otherwise you have the exact same team you had last year against an even better Miami team this year.
  19. Noah being healthy is obviously better than him not being healthy. But he's still Joakim Noah. He's a valuable player with limitations. Against Miami, they're going to have to score the ball. Rose and a healthy Noah is not enough. Two of Deng, Hamilton and *gulp* Boozer are going to have to step up consistently if they're going to have any chance against Miami's defense.
  20. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 1, 2012 -> 10:05 AM) Jeremy Lin & Baron Davis combined: 21 Assists, 1 Turnover Cleveland Cavaliers.
  21. Duke said he wouldn't trade Luol Deng straight up for Dwight Howard. This was on SB Sunday.
  22. s***. Forgive me for saying "know" instead of no. And this is so sad if ultimately true. Snookie was my dream girl. But females with kids is such a turn off.
  23. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 29, 2012 -> 05:44 PM) This thread is good for at least one two/three page derail a day. It's awful. Ha. And that's mainly because of me. And that's not my intention. You should know. You said Rose choked in the Heat game and everybody jumped you like Ralph Macchio got jumped by the Cobra Kai in Karate Kid. I really didn't know last night was Big Mac night (or that every Bulls game in which they score 100 and win is Big Mac night). That's where this all started.
  24. Breaking news: Snookie is pregnant. The dream is over for me. Once you give birth, I know longer deem you fit.
  25. Now I'm going the Soxbadger route. I don't feel like quoting everybody, 2K5, the Bulls selling out all those games means nothing. Michael Jordan played there. That's enough right there. 6 title banners, the MJ statue, and f***, just a damn beautiful basketball arena in general in a place like Chicago and the stadium will sell out. See the Cubs for the latter. Q - You're the s***. You disagree with me frequently and don't attack me because my opinion differs from the masses. Steve - as far as fantasy, I don't check the stats until Sunday. And there's a reason I refuse to drop Favors. If he didn't have to play behind Jefferson/Millsap, he'd be every bit as productive as Monroe. Hopefully he gets his chance next year. And yes, I don't believe you as far as the Elton Brand Bulls teams go. I'm done for now. I'm spamming and I don't mean to. I'm getting wasted and I'll be back later.
