  1. Haha. This was definitely an alcohol induced thread. But I have always kinda wondered what certain user names meant. And no SS2k5, I had no idea what or who that was until now. But s***. I get crap from my friends because I've never seen Pulp Fiction or Avatar. They say that's not normal and borderline retarded.
  2. I've been posting here for years. And some usernames are easy to, like, know the meaning of. Rowand44? That's pretty easy to figure out. Can somebody explain to me what a Kalapse is? Or like a Knightni? Is he a Knight Rider fan? Was does Tru mean? He didn't pick those letters for nothing. What does JPN mean? What the hell does Jeckle mean? lol. I mean he's not here anymore. Maybe somebody knows? I want everyone to explain their user names in which the meaning is not obvious. I've been obsessed with this for years.
  3. JPN, if I sent you 5 bucks could you get rid of your Gio sig? It pisses me off so much. I will never forgive that second trade.
  4. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 28, 2011 -> 01:08 AM) I don't understand how you can be so impatient.. the only two teams who matter (Detroit and Minnesota) aren't very far ahead of us at all, and lucky BOTH lost tonight as well.. If you're vomiting over the standings in April its going to be a long season for you.. relax man, there is a TON of baseball left to be played.. you cant possible think they are going to hit .192 the rest of the season.. its not gonna happen.. And what the hell is with J4L's post above mine, someone hack his account? I'm just getting over the flu. Could be that. But honestly, I'm not as suicidal as it sounds at times. Something is going to happen this year. Either will get into the playoffs and make a run at the World Series or they'll be changes up and down the organization. And if the latter happens, I'll be at the very least excited to see what direction the team goes in. I can't lie. I'm bored with the KW/Ozzie era. I want something new.
  5. ok. i'm watching jennifers body for like the 15th time. and that f***ing makeout scene with Fox and Seyfriend or however you spell her name turns me into pinnocio EVERY SINGLE time. Man that s*** is hot.ain't nothing on earth that rivals horny white girls.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 28, 2011 -> 12:25 AM) I don't get why some of you are so patient. I look at the standings and want to vomit. I look at our box scores the last 15 games or so and want to vomit. What choice do we have? We've got 4 teams ahead of us, 3 in which haven't done squat in years (in the Royals case decades). The other team appears to not be as strong in years past. There's 137 games to go. All you can do is wait and see what happens.
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 28, 2011 -> 12:06 AM) I was just posting my observations. lol Oh I know. But you know how sensitive some get around here. I didn't want death threats if it was implied that I was saying Westbrook was equal or better than Rose. And how about that Ibaka? That dude is a fricken monster. The Perkins addition has had a noticeable impact on him. He's more freed up now to just wreak havoc on the boards and shot-blocking. I think he had 9. But he changed or altered at least 5 other shots by my count. That team is built for LA.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 11:48 PM) Westbrook's looked pretty bad since game 1. Refusing to pass, missing more shots than Rose on a bad shooting night...etc. I swear, when I watch Rose, I see a lot of control, composure, and I feel confident and at ease. When I watch Westbrook, I don't know what the hell might happen next. Will he miss a wide open layup? Will he make some weird shot? I feel like they're still quite the ways apart. I wasn't debating Rose and Westbrook. Rose is the better player. But Westbook is clearly a star player. Yeah, he was sporadic and definitely needs to play a smarter, more disciplined game going forward. And even with that he still fills up a stat sheet, though he stunk up the joint tonight. I guess ultimately what I'm saying is that you're in pretty damn good shape when Russell Westbrook is your second best player.
  9. Kevin Durant just personally sent Denver home for the summer. That WAS SPECTACULAR. This Thunder team is somethin' else. I've got them in the conference finals for sure. They're the total package. Length, athleticism, size, depth and not one but TWO stars.
  10. 6 scoreless innings against this lineup after a s***ty start. Mark did his job.
  11. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 07:46 PM) MB around 100 pitches. If he's finished then I would say well done this evening. Yeah, give him credit. Didn't think he'd make it past the 4th after that first inning.
  12. I figure we've got one more inning to get to Bartolo before it's curtains.
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 07:34 PM) Rios automatic out. Been that way going on four months now. I'm extremely disappointed. I really thought he turned a corner after his fabulous May of last year.
  14. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 07:32 PM) Is that Jason Bourne's brother? All I know is I'm sick of 2-5 HR hitting left-fielders.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 07:29 PM) That's what you get with this manager though. I can't wait for after this year when Pierre is gone and Ozzie likely is also. And then watch us trade for Michael Bourne.
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 07:26 PM) Bartolo is throwing the ball 94 MPH? WTF? I said the same thing. I'm assuming the gun is right. If so, I'm impressed.
  17. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 07:22 PM) Don't you put that evil on him. Yeah, that was rather mean.
  18. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 07:19 PM) To Gordon's credit, he doesn't seem to take the struggles at the plate w/him on the field. That's what we used to say about Brian Anderson.
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 07:17 PM) They didn't dominate but Konerko (if you count him as Sox prospect), Lee and Ordonez were all good pretty much right off the bat. Ordonez wasn't great his rookie year but was damn good from his 2nd year on. True. But I'm greedy. I want a Longoria, Posey or McCutchen.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 07:16 PM) How many times this year have we had 9 straight batters retired, etc? Remember back in '06 when the 8-9-1 trio of Uribe/Anderson/Pods was the 'take a dump inning' and not miss a thing? That's this entire lineup right now aside from PK and CQ.
  21. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 07:11 PM) I don't think we have someone down there that is responsible for fixing people. How does one explain fundamentally flawed swings like Anderson and his hitch, and guys with high strikeout rates like Danks getting pushed past AA. THe entire point of our minor league system is to look good so we can trick someone into taking our guy for something of value. The idea of development from within is foreign. Why do you think that we rushed the last two decent prospects through the system. Pretty much sums it up.
