We need a back up catcher
Wonder what it would take to pry one of the Rangers' plethora of quality catching prospects?

Cabrera probably WON'T go to the Dodgers
OC wasn't coming back under any circumstance. And that's a good thing. Just hurry up and sign somewhere so we can know our damn draft position!

Minor League Ball white sox top 20
I think John Ely is too low. Other than that, I think it's a good list. God damn I'm still bummed about Nevin Griffith. Anybody know the validity of this site? http://www.scoutingbook.com/prospects/51-60 I ask because they've got Brent Lillibridge ranked #52 on their top 300 prospects list. lol.

Bears Win in OT!
QUOTE (jenks45monster @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:58 PM) Is Matt Schaub back yet? Or do they still have Sage Rosenfels starting at QB? Because with Rosenfels, Johnson isn't nearly as big of a threat. Schaub is back.

QUOTE (jenks45monster @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:54 PM) Can't forget about Steve Slaton. Oh I didn't. But A.J. is a monster.

Bears Win in OT!
QUOTE (jenks45monster @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:51 PM) Next Week: Bears vs. Texans; Vikings vs. Giants Let's go Bears and Giants! They've got to come up with something stellar to contain Andre Johnson. I'm scared to death that he's going to molest us.

As I said earlier, this team deserves tremendous props. They played like ass tonight. But they found a way. Did anybody think we'd be 9-6 after the Vikings game?

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:32 PM) Well, when your D-Line gives the quarterback a week to throw, it also allows the WR's to run free and shake the CB's. That's part of it. But the pass D has obviously been average to bad all year.

QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:30 PM) are you kidding me, this is one of the worse fuken games we played, packers had nothing to play for and we came out flat. This Bears team is nothing similar to what the whitesox were. And AP needs to have the s*** beaten out of him for that penatly. C'mon now. We were 6-6 and looked to have no chance to make the playoffs. Yes, we've played like s*** tonight. But we battled back to tie the game. Too bad it looks like we're going to lose.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:29 PM) Wow, we're just a clutch team aren't we. I have no faith whatsoever in our pass defense to come up with crucial stops.

What a terrible way this would be to lose this game.

No matter what happens the rest of the way, this team has showed tremendous heart (very similar to the White Sox winning the three elimination games to win the central). And just as I say that we f*** ourselves on special teams.

QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:14 PM) Besides 2 games, Orton has been pretty bad all season long, well 2 games and one drive vs Atlanta. Two games? WTH you talking about? And when you consider the WRs he's throwing to, he's had a pretty good year.

I wish this f***er would sign with somebody. I had a feeling this s*** would drag on forever. Any new news? It'd be nice to know exactly what our draft position will be come June.

Marquez 2009 Stats = Javy 2008?
QUOTE (scenario @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:34 AM) That's a pretty sad looking list, isn't it? LOL. Broadway 3rd, McCulloch 4th, Haeger 5th, Russell 7th, Harrell 8th... Wow. Broadway/McCulloch taken back-to-back in the first round (even when you consider where we were drafting) was unacceptable and pathetic. It's really amazing what we've been able to do this decade considering what our farm has produced (So long Duane Shaffer. You are not missed).

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 12:17 AM) Wasn't an asswhooping. Steelers had 374 total yards, Titans had 323. Problem is that Ben Roethlisberger is a turnover machine, and the Steelers OL is embarassing. Ben has 14 INT's on the year, and 14 fumbles. He had two INT's and 4 fumbles today alone. OL also allowed 4 sacks from a rookie 2nd round draft pick Jason Jones. Haynesworth might have broken Derrick Thomas' sack record for a game if he had played. That was a whoopin' to me. Their offensive and defensive lines DOMINATED. The Titans are legit.

Yanks to sign Manny?
QUOTE (jenks45monster @ Dec 21, 2008 -> 11:50 PM) The AL East is getting more and more interesting each year. It will get even more interesting in a few years as the O's have a few interesting prospects in Wieters, Matusz, and Tillman, along with the possibility of them signing Tex. Don't forget about Jake Arrieta. The O's certainly could be damn good in 2-3 years (they raped the Mariners in the Bedard trade). And the AL east is easily the best division in baseball.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Dec 21, 2008 -> 03:33 PM) I still don't believe in the Titans. I just don't see them going to the Super Bowl. I've been saying this all year. But with today's ass whooping, I think it's time to give them their due. I think Kerry Collins is lizard s***. But when you can run the ball and play stingy defense like they can, you've got a chance.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 21, 2008 -> 11:32 PM) CC, Burnett, and Manny? That'd be ridiculous. And they're still the third best team in their division, IMO.
