Kenny Fires Back At Frank
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 06:44 PM) I'll be the first one to admit that I'm not a Frank fan, especially for the way he's handled himself as a teammate and a member of the team. All that said he's a decent person, but not a good teammate and part of me is glad the truth is finally coming out cause so many people pretty much thought he could do no wrong. I also think he's going to prove why we got rid of him in the first place. Ie, the fact that he hasn't been healthy in years. I get all that. But you used the word "slammed". I don't agree with that at all.

When Frank comes back to Chicago..
This is an obvious no-brainer.

Kenny Fires Back At Frank
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 06:25 PM) A War of Words: Kenny Fires Back at Frank By Jason Gage Soxtalk.com Would anyone believe that Frank Thomas isn’t a member of the White Sox anymore? The future Hall of Fame slugger and the single greatest player to play for the White Sox has done nothing but berate and slam his former team since joining the Oakland A’s. The War of Words had been a one army battle, until this weekend when GM Kenny Williams fired back...More He slammed the team? Care to be specific?

Kenny Fires Back At Frank
The Frank hate is getting pathetic. I can't believe how fickle some of you are. Listen, is Frank innoncent? Not at all. But he does have a right to be atleast a little upset. Frank is not personally attacking anyone. Did he call Kenny or Jerry names? Nope. Has he said anything negative about any of the players, coaches, fans, city, ect? Nope. Yet Kenny can call him and idiot and it's okay? This is why I hate the media. This clown knew what he was doing when asking those questions.

Kenny Fires Back At Frank
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 04:54 PM) Boz, would you have really had a problem with when Kenny saying " We are focused on 2006, and Frank isnt a part of it. Next question" Take the high road for once guys. We are the Champs. Lets set an example for the rest of the league, instead of having countless distractions pop up for no reason. Didn't Kenny do that last time? Everybody has a limit. I'd be mad to if somebody kept insinuating that I was a liar or that I sold him out.

Frank fires on the Sox - again
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) It is pretty funny Frank mentioned his 2000 season, but forgot how he came up empty in the playoffs. I guess he must be pretty frustrated considering he doesn't have a hit in the postseason since 1993. Outside of Durham and Jose, the whole team sucked.

Uribe in the 2 spot
QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 03:58 PM) Uribe is the worst base runner on the team... far and away in my opinion. Now that Rowand is gone, you're correct.

This is really, really sad. I didn't want it to end like this.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 03:22 PM) Well uconn fans should probably be shot. An overrated chant? Yeah, watch that come back to bite them in the ass.

Uconn has so many weapons. Gay has an off night. So all Denham Brown does is score 23 points on 8/13 shooting.

Anyone see that new MJ commercial?
The best Jordan commercial ever came out about 10 years ago. It's called "Frozen Moment". He's going up against the Lakers and everything is in slow motion. Everybody stops what they're doing, no matter what it is, just to watch. It's really good. I'll try and find it.

Uribe in the 2 spot
I'm really starting to believe Uribe can handle the 2 slot. As already mentioned, he's an excellent bunter. He just needs to be more patient and work the count.

Uconn pulling away from Nova. Up 13 with about 3 minutes to go. Nova has shot terribly. 33% for the game.

Brian Anderson is one wacky dude

Frank fires on the Sox - again
Honestly, I think we just need to ignore Frank. Follow him and what he's doing in Oakland. Hope that he has a great season. Cheer him when he comes back to Chicago. These articles and such do nobody any good.

Games start Monday!
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 03:32 AM) The title of this thread is a bit off. The first Spring Training game is on Wednesday, not Monday. Chicago White Sox 2006 Spring Training Broadcast Schedule That's what I thought. It's the first intrasquad game that's Monday.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 01:50 AM) Good point, but the level of talent doesn't seem the same either...I don't see nash winning it in the 80's-90's... No question about that.

Anybody hear about Lebron getting booed Friday night? Oh yeah, THE GAME WAS IN CLEVELAND. Lebron had a horrible game. They actually had the audacity to boo him after he missed a pair of ft's. Do these idiots realize he's up for free agency soon? Lebron is the best thing to happen to that franchise since well, ever. Come to Chicago, Mr. James. Will treat you right.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 25, 2006 -> 10:20 AM) Take Kobe away and there is no doubt in my mind they have the worse record in the league. Kobe's having a huge season and he's the only reason the Lakers are where they are. I hear that all the time. And I get it. But taking a 20 win team (I think the Lakers would win atleast 20 games without him) and making them a 40 win team, give or take a couple wins, doesn't make you the MVP. Or even a legitimate MVP canidate. Look no further then 1987. Michael Jordan averaged 37.1 ppg. He became the first perimiter player in history to record over 200 steals and 100 blocks in the same season. He didn't sniff the MVP. The Bulls only won 40 games.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 25, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) Kansas getting roughed up pretty good right now, down 16 early in the 2nd half at Texas. LaMarcus Aldridge is completely dominating. No Jimbo tonight? I'm shocked!
