QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 10:12 PM) Oklahoma is gay. Gay and lucky. They've won their last 4 games by a single point.

QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 09:59 PM) 50 questions in 12 minutes. What's your point? If its anything like this, its easy as hell. LOL. I agree if the questions are simliar to these. Even with the time limit. The only thing I can think of is a guy would just be nervous and try to rush.

Thomas takes high road in response to Williams
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 12:05 AM) REPORTEDLY. Nothings on the record. It's irresponsible for the Inside Bay Area (whoever the f*** they are) to put such remarks as direct quotes without a source. How the hell do they receive inside information that apparently all other media outlets have missed? Anyways, this may have happened behind close doors. I support Williams here because it's nothing directed in a public venue. Whomever leaked this information, if it's legitimate, overcrossed their boundaries. We critizie Williams for going public with his views, but if he can't even say what he wants beyond journalists and within his own space, where the hell can he be himself? I agree. That's why I said "if true". Whether Kenny meant for it to be private or not isn't the point to me. You don't try and erase somebody from the franchise because you're upset with him. But I still can't believe Kenny would take it that far.

Knicks lose by 30 tonight. Make that 15-41? With the Raptors and Hawks playing a little better of late, it seems only the Bobcats could possibly have a worse record.

If true, Kenny is a world class moron.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 07:44 PM) And hit like .227 or something retchid like that. It was actually .219. I'm very well aware of that. I also kept in mind how much time he had missed and the fact he was never 100%. I also look at the fact we scored almost a run more per game than we did in the games he didn't play. The impact was made.

Thome limited to DH until mid-March
I don't want him playing first base at all.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 05:27 PM) I really am not mad. It's just hard for me to hear people defend someone so religiously. The people who truly are mad are the ones who call me ignorant as f***, which for those who have met me from here and several have, is far from the truth. When you are driven to call someone ignorant as f*** based on a message board post, you may have issues. I said you were "being" ignorant. Not that you "were" ignorant. Anyway, I'm gonna take the "high road" and let this go.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 05:15 PM) Here's what Frank could have said: I'm just gonna ignore you. I might say something that gets me banned.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 05:12 PM) So now that he didn't respond, he's the good guy? Did we forget who started this? Both KW and Frank took shots. To say Frank is suddenly the good guy is ridiculous. I can agree with that. Although I'm glad Frank didn't resort to taking personal shots back at Kenny. He could've easily done so.

I want to make it well known that I absolutely love Kenny as a GM. He did it. He helped bring a champion to Chicago. For that, I'll always be in debt to him. I hope he's our GM for the next 20 years. I just think he was wrong for the comments he made yesterday. Simple as that.

QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:57 PM) Again, this was well known for the last couple years, hell, Bruce Levine made fun of the fact. Kenny brought it to everyone's attention again in the heat of the moment..... There really is nothign to argue here, Frank dug his own grave is White Sox history. He is the best player in Sox history much like Sosa is the best player in Cubs history. Will fans celebrate him for decades down the road?? nfortanately for Frank, the negatives will always outweigh the positives. How can an organization respect him (which they did), if he didnt respect his job?? The negatives will outweigh the positives? Maybe for you.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:51 PM) "I never got a chance to ask those questions [before]," Konerko said. "I've never really had a guy that I could look up to on my team that you know I could gain a lot of knowledge hitting-wise. "We have a great coaching staff, hitting-wise, with Greg Walker and Harold Baines. There are a lot of guys who have been great hitters and been in big games. But there aren't too many hitters I've been around who have been older and who I've seen eye-to-eye with." I read that article. I must say it didn't strike me as anything odd at the time. But here's a quote from another article. Take what you will from it.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) Another poster who can't express an opinion without using f*** and ignorant. Stay classy, Soxtalk. I tried to hold it in. You're making it very difficult.

Thomas takes high road in response to Williams
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) That's one person. I'm sure there are mixed feelings on Frank as a person, and even Paul in a recent article kind of took a little jab at Frank. Paul said something to the effect that the organazation did a lot for him last year. Which I agree with somewhat. Besides that, he hasn't had anything bad to say.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:45 PM) That's good, what does it have to do with anything? I hate to say this, but you're being ignorant as f***. What do you mean what does that have to do with anything? It means that either Walker is a fake or Kenny is a liar.

Thomas takes high road in response to Williams
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) Also on Silvy & Carmen they talked about an interview with Greg Walker. They asked him what he thought of Frank. He said that Frank was great and easy to work with. He said he was well respected by his teammates and others. Why would Greg Walker lie? That's what I'm talking about. Players and coaches have had nothing but good things to say about Frank. Yet Kenny makes the "my players" and "my staff" hate Frank blah blah blah speech.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:41 PM) I think he's talking about the urn KW put him in. In other words, he got buried. Alright then. I thought you were saying that's he's old.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) Mike Wilbon: "Frank is in an urn." Classic. He's two years older than Jim Thome.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:37 PM) He wasn't ripping the sox organization? I'd like to know how he's supposed to get respect after he's gone. Hell, no one said a damn word about him til yesterday. Respect? I think Frank got enough, and was very unappreciative. See: First pitch Once again, who was he ripping? Did he take personal jabs at Kenny or Jerry? Did he diss Ozzie? Did he disss any of the players or fans?

Thomas takes high road in response to Williams
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:33 PM) No one has called Kenny a hero. That being said sometimes a person can only take so much, you can tell by watching his interview that this was built up for a long, long time, he just exploded all at once. I'm sure he'll regret later some things he said but sometimes when frusteration has been built up for so long you can't help what you say. I know someone is going to say he shouldn't have done it in the public, etc, etc, and I agree but there's a point and time where you just can't take s*** anymore. I understand that. But Kenny got personal. Nobody had to know about Jerry loaning him money. It wasn't his place to say "my players and "my staff" are glad Frank is gone. Who the hell is he to speak for those guys?

Thomas takes high road in response to Williams
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:32 PM) I know you don't like this argument, but team > player. I can just turn blinders on and not pay attention to him ripping the team i love a new one. That's just not me. I can't ignore it, many here can. That's how it goes. Who is he ripping? The guy just wanted a little more respect. Did he go about it the right way? Probably not. Now what Kenny did yesterday was ripping.

Thomas takes high road in response to Williams
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:27 PM) The point being, Jordan said some people are in the kenny can't do no wrong camp because of what he did this year, it goes both ways, some people are fans of the team just cause of Frank and have him in the can't do no wrong camp as well. It's a two way street. You would have to be a complete fool to think Frank isn't in some ways at fault, or to think Frank has been a saint his whole career. I realize the kinda guy we're dealing with. He's very emotional and says stupid s*** sometimes. That's just the way he is. But to act like Kenny is some kinda hero because of what he said yesterday is pathetic.
