  1. QUOTE(hi8is @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 03:17 AM) and got cut off because i droped "a f-bomb" LMAO. Omg. You are f***in crazy. I wish I had been listening.
  2. QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 01:45 AM) How many of my generation became Sox fans because of Frank? He is now and will forever be my favorite Sox. I teared up seeing him celebrate after the game (though that could have been champagne in the eyes). No doubt about it. I don't think I would be a Sox fan today if not for the Big Hurt. He was the Michael Jordan of the early to mid 90's.

  4. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 02:20 AM) I'm surprised he was sober enough to type this... Anyway, hell of a season Rowand, hats off to all of you guys. That's what I was thinking. Writing in a journal is the last thing I would be thinking about right now.
  5. QUOTE(valponick @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 02:01 AM) Not sure if anyone is interested but I am making a set of DVD's that has the HDTV rips of the games with Ed and John's calls over it. That's awesome. Let us know when you finish it.
  6. I kissed my nephew Ozzie style and screamed like a girl. The single greatest sports moment of my life.
  7. This has to to rank right up there with one of the absolute most dominant post-season runs ever. Atleast during the WC era. 11-1. 6-0 on the road. Dominant pitching. The offense actually averaged 6 runs a game in the playoffs. An outstanding display by an outstanding team.
  8. QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 01:35 AM) So me and Krush were out enjoying ourselves at a local Champaign bar and some Cub fan decided to call the 2 of us bandwagon jumpers. He picked the wrong 2 guys to say that to. After going off on him about all the Sox knowledge we possessed, we ripped into him good. When we questioned him about his Cub fan-ness by asking him who the Cubs bullpen guys were, he answered "Kyle Fanrsworth and Joe somebody." So we had a good laugh about that. Also, Krush sprained his ankle in the celebraton and when we stormed the alma mater, I swear there was a rally crede chant. It quickly turned into "crede crede" but it was definitely a rally crede chant for awhile. Me, Krush and AddisonSt were all there for that one. To sum the night up, this is the best night of my life and my bank account will begin to be emptied on champ merchandise tomorrow. Also, I reek of champagne from our victory celebration. GO GO WHITE SOX Awesome. And LMAO@those idiot Cub fans. God they are so f***in dumb.
  9. QUOTE(3RDBASE @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 01:28 AM) Hey thats love! Latin MAN.... Latin SON style! Very respectful in the native country! its funny but Thats his kid/baby for ever .....Imagine the type of manager one of his sons could be after living this season first hand! Oh I know. It just looks funny.
  10. Frank won us 3 or 4 games this year. He made a great contribution for the time he was with us. He deserves this just as much as anyone. Here's to Frank
  11. I was looking and couldn't find any. Does anybody have a link?
  12. What's there to really say? The greatest sports momemt of my life. I'm still num and in shock. I cried really, really hard after the game. I'm happy for so many people. It was a long time coming. And yes, Chicago is now A WHITE SOX TOWN!
  13. I cried like a baby for about 30 minutes. This won't hit me for a couple weeks. I've never been so happy.
  14. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) Going along with what Kap said....I don't think the season would be half as special without this great group of fans. I couldn't agree more. Thank you Heads, Jason, Yasny, Witesoxfan, the rest of the mods and every single member of Soxtalk. I love every single one of you. I never would've got through that tough stretch in September without Soxtalk.
  15. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 08:18 AM) I think Cintron would be used as the major utility guy, which were originally the plans for Uribe when we were going after Vizquel. OK then. Makes perfect sense now. I'm all for it. As long as we don't have to give up Cotts.
  16. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 08:18 AM) Would Cintron be the utility infielder? That's what I thought. Oh. I guess that could be the case.
  17. Wouldn't trading for Cintron be a diss to either Uribe or Gooch?
  18. QUOTE(bighurt2719 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 07:31 AM) just ask permission first, and in the eyes of the law (criminally and civil), you will be in the clear. if they are a true white sox fan, they will gladly kiss you. I don't want to ask permission. I want to dominate.
  19. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 08:05 AM) In my opinion, I'm watching the best baseball team I have ever seen... these white sox are better than any east coast team of the 90's... no superstars just a team.. the white sox reserves swept the cleveland indians to end the season... and a reserve did pretty well last night... Best White Sox team ever? Most definitely. But lets not get crazy now. This team isn't even close to being the best ever. All that matters is that we're the best in 2005.
  20. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 07:57 AM) I can't read the article, but here's the Rotoworld snippet; http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/index.php?sty=51473 Trade Cotts? Don't let Steff see this.
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 07:57 AM) I'm sure God will understand. After last night, is there any doubt who she's a fan of.. Indeed my dear.
  22. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 07:55 AM) I also heard Sunday...so people don't have to take off work/school. They want this to be HUGE! But I'll miss church.
  23. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 07:46 AM) Rumor is Sunday.. I'll let you know when I get some confirmation. Thank you sugar plum.
  24. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 07:42 AM) Yep looks like all of those posts saying "This offense isn't good enough to win a world series" just after the deadline when we didn't get Griffey were for naught huh? I think a lot of us are eating a little bit of crow this day. I ain't even gonna front. I've doubted this team a few times. But man, what a run. I'm mentally blown.
