The 2005 Chicago Bulls
From 0-9 to 47 wins and homecourt in the first round of the playoffs. This has been a spectacular turn around. I, like every Bulls fan, haven't enjoyed a Bulls season like this since 1998. For the first time in years this team is not a laughingstock. We finally have a future and foundation to build on. My question to all is, what was your single favorite moment from this season? I'm sure many have more than one. But if you had to choose one great moment from this season, one moment that made you say to yourself "this team is for real.", what would it be?

Bulls @ pacers.
QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) I am so proud of our bench. I might be wrong, but I heard that the Bulls bench leads the league in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots.

Bulls @ pacers.
This has been one UGLY 4th quarter.

Bulls @ pacers.
I'm watching some of the Wizards/Knicks right now. The Wizards are flat AWFUL defensively. They do not even contest shots. If we play defense like I know we can, will take them in 6.

Vince Carter Traded to NJ
Gotta give Vince and the Nets some props. I still think Vince is a terd for dogging it in Toronto. But I can't think of anybody who's played better the last 2 months than he has. However, Miami will destroy the Nets.

I think Skiles should let the starters rest. This game means nothing. I want to see Funderburke get some run.

Rookie of the Year thread
Did anybody doubt that last shot by Ben was going in? I don't know what it is, but when the game is on the line, he's SPECIAL. As far as the rookie of the year argument. It doesn't really matter that much. Ben has EASILY had the biggest impact of all the top rookies. We might not even be in the playoffs if not for Ben's countless 4th quarter heroics. I hope he wins it, if not, who cares. I'm lookin forward to game 1 of the playoffs in Chicago. Damn that sounds nice.

Tyson Chandler
QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) That thread over on the Laker's board is hilarious. The people over there are talking like it is a done deal and they will have Duhon and Chandler really soon. Gimme a break. Stuck up bunch of jag off's. Like a sadder version of Yankee fans. You should've saw those idiots when they thought they were getting Carlos Boozer. LOL. They were already debating what number Boozer would wear.

And That's A White Sox Winner!!!!!!!
QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 09:07 PM) I'm sorry because I'm one of his fans but Cotts might need a trip south to clear his mind. I'd liek to see Diaz brought in or Kevin Walker Somebody actually worse than Cotts? No Thanks!

And That's A White Sox Winner!!!!!!!
QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) I see that Ozzie is getting tired of Cotts also. One batter...walked him.....YANKED! Sorry Cotts fans, but so far he's shown that "Cotts-No Gots!!!" But he's a hunk.

4/18/05 Official Game Thread: Sox vs. Cakes
QUOTE(RegionSox @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 09:02 PM) Here's the question then? Which was the better pickup of Everett? What do you mean?
-
Hermanson
Hermanson is the best thing to happen to the bullpen since Koch.
-
And That's A White Sox Winner!!!!!!!
We're gonna have one hell of a dilemma when Frank gets bacK. I didn't expect Carl to produce like this.

And That's A White Sox Winner!!!!!!!
Great game tonight. Everett was the man, of course. Shingo is starting to scare me a little, but he got the job done. 3-1 against our daddy's.

Vince Carter Traded to NJ
QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 08:24 PM) I know you are supposed to, but do you honestly believe most athletes give their all every game? I know there are some great ones that you can honestly believe they are giving their all all the time. But most athletes drift through alot of games, just like alot of the workforce drifts through the day. Alot of athletes are the same way in my opinion, its just that VC made the giant mistake of admitting that to the media. I definitely don't respect him for that, but maybe thats one mistake and he can move on. True. I guess it's easy for me to pick on Vince since he admitted it.

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 06:09 PM) Jordan do you honestly think Vince is the only basketball player to do that? He gave his all to Toronto for several years, and he got tired of losing. He asked to be traded, but they didn't want to trade away their only star attraction. Was it wrong for him to admit to it in the media? Definitely. Other stars like Tracy McGrady, Steve Francis, Kobe, Baron Davis etc have all done pretty much the same thing. Here's a pretty recent article about it. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/...amp-trade_x.htm Would I defend Vince if he wasn't a Tar Heel, thats debatable. But I do know he's a very good person that does alot for charity etc. I disagree completely with his media comments and his lack of working out, but its his life and I can find lots and lots of other NBA players that I could choose to hate over him. Palehose, it's not so much him wanting to be traded. It's the fact that he admittedly said that he didn't play hard In Toronto. I don't care what the situation is, you're obligated to give your very best no matter what.

Who do you want up in the bottom of the 9th?
Frank, easily.
-
Tyson Chandler
I was talking with a friend of mine and he mentioned that word out of Los Angeles is that Tyson Chandler will take a one year offer from the Bulls to become an unrestriced fa in the summer of 06. Apparently, he wants to play for the Lakers? I went to Lakerground.com. They've got a 90 post thread about it. I've also heard Chandler and Duhon to the Lakers for Odom? Please somebody with any kinda of inside info tell me this is horses***. Here's the thread from Lakersground. http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.p...1875&forum=1&90

Ozzie vs. Frank, round one?
Ozzie seriously gets on my nerves sometimes. I hope to god Frank can be the bigger man and just stay quiet.

Bulls' remaining games... wins or losses
I think will beat the Knicks, but lose to the Pacers in Indy. Now i'm hoping the Nets can take care of the Wizards tomorrow. If Washington loses all we have to do is win one more game.
-
Who will win the NBA West?
I know everybody is entitled to their opinion. But how can anybody pick against a healthy Spurs team? They're gonna win 60+ games with Duncan missing nearly 20 games. That right there should tell you how good they are. They defend better than anybody in the league "Pistons are right there." They've got a lethal balance of guys who can put it in the floor and hurt you from the perimiter. They're deep as f***ing hell. And last but not least, they've been there before and know what it takes to win it all.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 01:41 AM) I will say this about the Nets. If Nenad Kristic can continue to get double - double's, and they can at least slow down Shaq and Haslem down low especially on the boards, they're certainly not without a chance. Shaq is almost like night and day as far as his intensity goes from regular season to post-season. This is his chance to really sitck it to the Lakers. I expect Shaq to go 2001 on everybody this post-season.

The most memorable Rodman moment...
QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 17, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) Or, what about, during the 1998 Championship rally in Grant Park, where he said that, if he had a choice of who to marry, it would be the 12 men sitting behind him. That had me ROTFLMAO for a LONG time!!! That's a good one. There was another one during the 96 rally where he said that the season had been one "wild f***in" crazy ride. The nbc people were in shock. lol

time to get it in gear
QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 17, 2005 -> 11:41 PM) problem is by the time the offense comes around, the pitching will go into a funk...its the ups and downs of baseball....but we'll keep on keepin on, and as long as we win series, thats all that matters. I think the pitching is good enough to remain consistent all year. The offense will come around. I'm not worried too much.

I totally agree that with the addition of a quality big or 2, the Nets could be MAJOR players in the east next year. But I don't see them doing much of anything against the Heat this year.
