QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 10:50 PM) I still remember some people already wanting to replace him with B-Mac during spring training Garland 4-0 I'll happily eat some crow.

My gosh, no more Judy
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 10:44 PM) Whoever kidnapped Judy...................dont you EVER bring him back. LOL!!! I second that.

This can't possibly be the real Jon Garland. My god, he's amazing right now.

I just hope Deron doesn't end up with the Lakers.

Anybody think we should take Jerome Mathis if available in the 4th round?

Mark Mulder
Cards have the central on total lockdown.

Cubs
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) MWAHAHAHAHA!!! Flubs fans are going to go ape-s***. They will want Busty fired after this game. They really need to get on Jim Hendry. How could any gm bring back this same bullpen after last years fiasco? Actually, this pen might be worse.

Day 1 Draft Thread
Unbelievable that Rodgers fell that far.

Cubs
Bobby Hill just tripled to make it 4-3. lol...I almost feel sorry for Slub fans, "almost."

Chicago Bears Draft Thread
I'm cool with the Benson pick, even though I wanted Brown. We get a premier power back to compliment Jones in this new run oriented rushing attack Turner/Lovie/Angelo have been talking about since the season ended.

Our offense is picking it up!

Sportscenter Draft Special
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 07:00 PM) . Doubt this happens though, Merriman or Ware at #11 looks like our pick. And this to the Bears fans. Do you think Angelo is going to pay 2 receivers big bucks, and let Thomas Jones rush for about 700 yards next season. Ron Turner WANTS a power back. Thank you, Dbaho. I've been saying this for weeks. We need another back if we're gonna run this big time rushing attack Lovie and Angelo have been talking about. We can get a decent #2 wr in the second round.

Holy Cow, Joe Crede
Could this be the year that not only Joe Crede, but Jon Garland finally realize their potential? This just seems to good to be true.

Power and Pitching
QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 11:33 AM) I know...It's early. But the White Sox lead the American League in Team ERA at 3.38 & Home Runs at 20 That's awesome. But we're also dead last in obp .285 :puke

LMAO @ Steve A. Smith
QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 10:53 PM) True exchange: Bill: “That’s a terrible defensive effort by Robert Horry. He didn’t even make it difficult for Rasheed Wallace to score.” Steve “Snapper” Jones: “Well, what do you expect? Earlier you said that Wallace could be one of the best players in the game, and now you want Robert Horry to guard him one-on-one?” Bill: “No, I said that Rasheed could be the best player in the game.” :banghead LOL...I've also heard Walton say that Horry is one of the best defenders of the modern era.

L.A. Lakers
They might not make the playoffs next year either. They have zero cap space and little to no real trade bait. Odom just had shoulder surgery, add that to his 11 million dollar a year contract and he'll be very hard to deal. Caron Butler is an inconsistent, no defense playing, dime a doezen sf. Can't get much for him either. Cook, Walton, George, Sasha, and the rest of the no talent bums they've collected over the years have ZERO value.

Give it up for Reggie Miller
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 11:43 PM) Reggie earned my total respect when he dropped 8 points in the Knicks in as many seconds to win a game. That is the greatest example of pwn3age! I have ever seen. Not to mention that 25 point barrage he put on the Knicks in the 4th quarter of game 5 of the 1994 ecf's. He was also 5 of 5 from 3 in that quarter.

Anyone else concerned when the Sox have to play
QUOTE(ChiSoxFan @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 11:19 PM) I'm thrilled with the hot start, but at the end of this road trip, they have to make that dreaded swing to Oakland, where they've struggled the past couple of years. With the new philosophy in place, and with some of Oakland's key guys gone, I'm hoping for a better record this year. Not really. Because the division is not as strong as in years past.

Garland turned the corner?
I'm not even gonna pretend to have been a Jon Garland fan all along. I've dissed him as much as any player we've had the last 5 years. But if I can diss him when he stinks, I can certainly praise him when he's getting the job done. I must say, I did have a feeling that with the addition of Hernandez, that a lot of pressre would be off of Jon, and maybe he could shine in the roll of 5th starter.

Nomar
Hawkins almost blew another one. lol. That Nomar injury looked painful. Damn, 6-8 weeks? Oh well, the Slubs knew he was a big time injury risk when they traded for him.

Give it up for Reggie Miller
Props to Reggie on an outstanding career. I've been an nba fan for about 15 years now and never "Besides Michael" seen anybody come through in the clutch as often as he did.

And that's a White Sox winner!!!
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) Of course he looked good.......it was garbage time for chrissakes. I was thinking the same thing.

Bulls @ pacers.
QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) Nocioni and harrington should be our bench too... How f***ing deep will we be next year? Dayum As I mentioned earlier. I believe our bench is number one as far as scoring, rebounding, and shotblocking goes among all the other benches in the league.
