  1. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 06:40 PM) Howard looking like an absolute freak with 6 blocks already, some of the variety. I gotta give the Magic credit. I thought they made a mistake by not taking Okafor instead of Howard. Not that Okafor is bad, but Howard is a beast. Howard probably has more upside as well.
  2. Francis has stolen the ball for Hinrich like 3 times in the last 4 minutes.
  3. Orlando plays little to no defense. I wasn't worried when we were down 16. This is the type of team you can go on big runs against.
  4. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 04:32 PM) Bobby Simmons Los Angeles Clippers Chicago connection: A fourth-year 6-6 small forward, Simmons was born in Chicago and starred at Simeon High School, where he averaged 27 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as a senior before playing three years at DePaul. He was drafted No. 42 in 2001 by the Seattle SuperSonics, who instantly traded him to Washington for Predrag Drobnjak. Catching up: Averaging career highs of 16.8 points and 6.0 rebounds this season, Simmons, 24, is one of the league's best bargains at his salary of $825,000. But all that will change this summer when he becomes a free agent. "It's a good chance that I will be re-signed this summer, and that would be nice because I like it here,'' Simmons said. "Chicago is also a possibility, and that would be nice because you can never beat home cooking and because the Bulls are now a young team turning things around as a winner again and they'll be in the playoffs. But I'll leave this in my agent's hands.'' As it stands he will probally be too much for us. But if he seriously has interest we need to make it happen. He is exactly what we need a big guard that can even play some small forward and knows how to post up. Like you said, we probably can't afford him. I would love to have him. But we've got to lock up Curry and Chandler.
  5. QUOTE(Winnin Ugly @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) I was watching the twins game last night on comcast and saw a twins commercial that had an old lady cleaning out the toilets... Than she rinse out the rag and it turn out to be a sox jersey.. Did anyone else see it I hope we kick the Twins ASS and win the division by 10 games I would get mad, but damn, they own us. They can talk all the crap they want. Hopefully this year will be different.
  6. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) step back... breathe.... its 2 games guys....give the offense time to gel...i have no worries right now. If you want to worry about anything, worry about the arms of Contreras and El Duque...
  7. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) Beastly I respect your opinion but come on man, you were complaining on Monday that this team wasn't exciting enough, I mean how can you ask for more excitement then this game?? Now you've moved onto to other things, just enjoy it, the sox are 2 and 0 and that's the only thing that matters. Yo Rowand, is it me or does Beastly remind you of someone?
  8. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) From what I hear Pods hit the ball hard 3 times today. Iguchi had a double, walk, and stolen base. Yeah, he did swing the bat well.
  9. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) We'll need to with Contreras pitching tomorrow. I'm that he has his act together. I feel you. I'll be happy with 6 solid innnings of 3 runs or less from him tomorrow. Hell, hold them under 4 runs and i'll be happy.
  10. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) That's almost like hoping he fails. I don't expect much from Willie and bash him quite often but when he actually gets the job done I'm not going to bash him for it and not give him his props. That's moronic. I know. Steff is a really good poster. She knows more about baseball than any chick I know. But she has some kinda deep hatred for Willie or something. lol
  11. Great win today! I've forgotten all about Illinois losing.
  12. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) Then you are not very intelligent. Both runners would have advanced regardless of Wickman botching the play. Uribe's deep sac fly STILL would have scored the winning run with 1 out. What is wrong with you? :headshake Steff would rather eat a live kangaroo before she gave Willie any kinda of credit.
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) I don't. End of my story. Women are never satisfied.
  14. Really lookin forward to Garcia pitching. I hope the offense gives him more support than they did Mark.
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 08:00 PM) We better kick their f***ing ass in the second round. They're a bunch of little b****es. First off, You act as if getting to the second round is a foregone conclusion. Second, WE HAVE NO CHANCE IN HELL OF BEATING THE HEAT.
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 09:57 PM) Luther really pulled a cubs tonight. That turnover was killer. But without Head we probably get blown out.
  17. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) This is the example of a team living and dying by a 3. For once, we didn't get the breaks. Though i still don't understand how either of those last 2 head threes didn't fall in. Without augustine we had NOTHING inside the paint. That cost us a championship. Wow.... Like Rex Mentioned, we did get solid play from Ingram. But I agree, I think just having James as an option would've helped.
  18. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 09:55 PM) I just bought 151. ( I walked to the liquor store , I dont tolerate drunk driving even when Im one myself 2nite.) That is my distraction lol. That's good man. I would like to drink away, but i've got to work tomorrow.
  19. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) Oh yeah, 12-38 from threes. 38 FREAKING THREES. That's not good. That's our game. A lot of the 3's at the end were good shots. They just didn't fall.
  20. QUOTE(El Piervizdyeguchansodnik @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 09:50 PM) Because you're a bunch of babies? Christ, Buerhle pitches a gem, the White Sox beat the 2005 AL Central Champ Powerhouse Cleveland Indians and everyone dies. lol. Thank god the Sox are back. I need something to distract me right now.
  21. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) In all honesty, they may have done Illinois a favor. Based on how Augustine played while he was in the game and the way Ingram stepped up, Illinois might have been better off. You make a good point. It's still hard to fathom 5 fouls in less than 10 minutes of play, though.
  22. Sorry guys, I couldn't resist. I know were all hurting right now "not you Palehose fan."lol But I just wanted to thank the Illini for an absolutely TREMENDOUS season. The memories they've provided for me will stay with me forever. From the Wake Forest thrashing, to the unbelievable road wins against Wisconsin and Msu, to the amazing come back against Arizona, this has been a fantastic season.
  23. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) if this isnt the luckiest ncaa natiuonal champion. Dude, stop. Unc made all the big plays in the end. Give them their due. I'm still kinda pissed off on all the silly fouls on Augistine. But getting all crazy will do absolutely nothing.
  24. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) lol Jordan, unfortunately my professors won't give me a chance to have any fun. I know wah wah wah , have tests all the rest of the week. lol. I know how that is.
  25. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) Thanks guys, I know nothing I can say will help, but you guys have a tremendous team and an amazing season. Recruiting really builds off season's like this, you guys will be back. Especially in the 06 class which is loaded. Thanks Palehose. You gonna go out drinkin?
