UNC vs. Illinois
QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) UNC is outplaying us, but apparently Sean May gets to do whatever he feels like on the basketball court. We're helpin them out bigtime. Even the announcers are pointing out mistakes that we rarely ever make.

UNC vs. Illinois
QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 08:10 PM) Sean May walks & takes off Engram's head -- of course no foul. But Deron hand checking is so much more important. I saw that too. Kentucky fans warned me that Unc gets away with murder.

UNC vs. Illinois
We looked scared, rattled, intimidated, etc, etc.

UNC vs. Illinois
We've made more dumb plays in this first half than the whole season combined.

Wizzards lose
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 08:05 AM) Eddy vs. Brenda Take 2. Should be a great series if it does happen though. The Bulls are really going to have to be at their best defensively to clamp down on Arenas and Hughes. lol@brenda....Don't forget Jamison. I'm assuming he's gonna be healthy come playoff time.

Wizzards lose
It's about time they lost. Seemed like we were the 5th seed forever. I really believe the game we have left with them in Washington is gonna decide who ends up with the 4th seed. I still can't believe it's April and we're talking about home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. AMAZING!

Opening Day vs. Cleveland 4-4-05
I couldn't even sleep. I'm so fricken excited about today. I think we're gonna start this season off well.

Sox Finalize Roster
QUOTE(Mathew @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 04:09 AM) What exactly is solid about him? His lack of power, his lack of patience, his .246 avg or the fact that he doesn't steal any bases? His nearly .400 batting average with risp?

Opening Day vs. Cleveland 4-4-05
QUOTE(Mathew @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 03:56 AM) I'm blowing of two classes tomorrow, but I never said I wasn't a fool. I'd blow off school for opening day if I were you, too. Missing one day won't hurt. Have fun man.

Opening Day vs. Cleveland 4-4-05
Is this gonna be the game thread?

UNC vs. Illinois
Opening day for the Sox, title game for the Illini. Doesn't get any better than that.

MSU vs. UNC
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) After an entire tournament we are left with the matchup everyones been talking about since January. This is the way it should be. The two best teams going to war.

Illinois vs. Louisville
That was total domination in the second half. We absolutely destroyed their zone. Big up's to Powell and Head. That's why this team is so good. It's a different guy stepping up every game. Unc is gonna be a major challenge. But this is a year of destiny for the Illini. We're gonna bring it home!

Bobcats@ bulls.
Why can't people just accept the fact the guy is not a great rebounder? In a perfect world he would average 10-12 a night. But for whatever reason he's not a good rebounder. I choose to look at the things he does do well rather than focus on the lack of boards. Eddy is only 22, so hopefully he'll learn to rebound better.

Anyone else concerned about the pitching?
QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 04:39 PM) Gotta trust the unbiased opinion of a man with the guy in his avatar. lol. I'm being honest. Do you really think Garcia is just average? I don't. He's not an ace or true#1. But the guy is good for 15+wins, atleast.

Anyone else concerned about the pitching?
QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 04:25 PM) #1 - Buehrle is a given for me right now. 18 wins, 3.50 or less ERA, 150-170 Ks. #2 - Looking at him since the trade, Garcia still seems shaky. Pretty average really. #3 - El Duque is a mystery to me, I haven't seen him pitch this ST. #4 - Contreras really worries me. I would almost be tempted to move him into the number-five spot. #5 - I'm feeling more confident with Garland than I was last year, I think he could handle the #4 job. Garcia is ALOT better than average. His era was higher with us, but he was 10-4 as a member of the Sox. We all know what Hernandez can do when healthy, I wouldn't worry about him too much. I'm with you as far as Contreras goes. I don't know what to expect out of him. I agree with what you said about Buehrle and Garland.
-
Eddy Curry could miss up to 4 games
Thanks, Qwerty. That clears everything up. We should be able to handle the Bobcats without Eddy. I hope he's ready by the time we play the Heat.

Bobcats@ bulls.
QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) This is one of those games that I'd bet the farm on. Bob's cats have only won like three games on the road this year. Brevin Knight's assist totals over the last five games: 15, 15, 16, 10, 15 Emeka Okafor, Primo Brezec, Gerald Wallace, Brevin Knight, Jason Hart, etc. That ain't a bad Top 5 for an expansion team at only 50% of payroll capacity. Naturally, their bench is unspeakably bad. Bulls by 5. Oh no. I wasn't talking about tonight. I meant when we play the Heat next week. I agree that we should win this game easily tonight.

Sox v. Brewers Pre-Season Finale 4/2/05
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) yeah Garland pitched really well... Carlos Lee's HR was more of a good hit by him than a bad pitch by Garland and Podsenick almost stole it too. That's good to hear. Atleast he finished up strong.

Sox v. Brewers Pre-Season Finale 4/2/05
QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) Ozuna singles to left. 1on, 1 out. Does that bring his average up to about .650 now?

Sox v. Brewers Pre-Season Finale 4/2/05
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) well this one looks like a lost... Everett has looked horrible today i really hope he is making better swings come opening day. Also i was impressed with the way Garland pitched after giving up the homer instead of being down on himself pitched out of the innings by striking out the next 2 batters and an easy fly out for the last. So I take it Jon looked good today?

Anyone else concerned about the pitching?
This is off topic. But did anybody see Harold Reynolds say the Cubs had the "best bullpen" in the nl central last night? I almost choked on my gum when he said that.
