Pitching is just like hitting. You're gonna go through a few slumps during a 162 gm schedule. Lets just hope it's not a long one.

Marte in the 8th followed by Shingo in the 9th sounds good. I just worry about the rest of the pen. Cotts has clearly been a different pitcher since that start against the Twins. Politte has been bad more times than not. Jackson has been solid. Adkins has been struggling a little. Koch is well Koch. We need to go out and get another arm in that pen.

The pitching hasn't been too good the last week. But we're still 3rd in the al with a 4.34 era. The starting pitching has been so good most of the year. I can't get too down that they're struggling a little now. I just hope it doesn't last long.

You're right. If we do stay in contention all the BANDWAGONERS will show up and claim they've supported the Sox all year.

Real tough call for, Ozzie. I think if Maggs was healthy you might just have to sit one of them. But, we're already at a loss with Maggs being out. We can't really afford to be without either Frank Or Paul.

Cubs win 10-5. I watched most of the game. Bartolo got rocked. I'm not talkin about cheap hits. The Cubs were hitting rockets all over the field. I guess it's easy to say it's a good thing NOW that we didn't sign him. But, I would still want him pitching for me late in the year or in the post-season.
