Good to see Dunn getting a day off. I assume De Aza is out resting the knee?

He seems 100% healthy right now. His defense has been outstanding (he made a couple plays last night that he would not have if he did have a bad back), and he's doing a fine job at the plate. It was really cool being there at the game and see him make the game-winning hit. I think it's fair to say that he is already a fan favorite.

Was at the game. The energy was incredible. Youk...okay, he was a steal from Boston.

Okay, this may be old news, but it's the first I've seen of it. Tom Cruise has been cast as Lee Child's Jack Reacher? If you've read any of the books you can clearly see that Reacher is 6'5" and over 250 lbs. Tom Cruise is nowhere near that. I read an article about the writer saying casting a guy close to Reacher's size would be difficult, and while that may be true, Tom Cruise is pretty much the last guy I picture when I read about Reacher.

He needs to develop more patience and improve his eye for the baseball, but playing down in AAA will not help him get there. I don't know if the Sox have a legitimate shot at winning it all. I do feel pretty confident about the division...at least being in the thick of it. Regardless, the Sox are playing for now and the future. Viciedo helps the team now and he will most likely help the team immensely in the future. I would not be willing to send a guy down or have him ride the bench 50% of the time because there's a 32 year old in AAA that has had very little success at the MLB level. That's just ridiculous.
