  1. Thornton still gave up single to Gonzalez, and then Reed came in and gave up a bomb to lose the game. I know it's all the fallacy of the predetermined outcome but the game was still far from over, especially with Thornton on the mound.
  2. And how many complainers on this board were saying that was the Quintana we were going to see this second half. Way too many people look for reasons to complain.
  3. So some people would trust Nate Jones right now over Chris Sale?
  4. who would you actually trust more than your ace?
  5. He still hasn't actually given up a blown save on a hit. Just sayin
  6. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 03:10 AM) Bye Q What is your beef with Q? Have you watched tonight?
  7. All the good luck this kid has had so far this season is coming back on him tonight.
  8. Why are you asusming that's the reason he's struggling. He's been streaky all year.
  9. Can't believe people are writing off Q based off of tonight. It's the definition of a bad luck start, he's made some good pitches. The guy took one out of the dirt and hit it out. They also have an RBI bunt. We have also given them an extra base twice because of our defense. He may not be a 2 ERA pitcher, but there's also no reason to judge him off of tonight.
  10. How would you set it up? I'd go... Peavy Quintana Floyd Sale Humber
  11. I very much dislike watching John Danks pitch. I used to love it
  12. Haven't seen it pinned on here or the "How Does That Work" forum. Is there one?, if so, where is it?
  13. Alex Rios is the same person he was in 2010 when he went 20-30 and hit over .300 with RISP. He's also a wildly inconsistent player with a fragile state of mind who brought his horrible offensive season into the outfield with him. He's always going to be the same person. If he has a similar year this year to 2010, he'll still be Alex Rios. You can hate him for his inconsistencies, but his personality or him taking up golf should have nothing to do with it.
  14. I would think Ozzie would probably just keep Rios batting 3rd. He had success doing it last year and you still get RLR.
  15. He sabotaged the entire organization. He had scouts filling out bogus scouting reports on players, inflating their value just so he could take the money. What he did was despicable and has set us back in Latin America even more so than we already were. I give a lot of credit to Reinsdorf for sticking with KW after this whole incident. Wilder was his friend who he hired and as a result Reinsdorf had thousands of dollars stolen from him. I'm not sure, if it was me, that I would have been so forgiving to KW.
  16. We are mentally beaten, and that's a credit to the twins. They kick our ass, take our names and probably laugh at us in the locker room afterward. It's up to the sox to change that.
  17. I think the white sox have played harder than they have in years past, but I never like a team that comes into games already defeated. You can't tell me that one player on that team actually thinks that they will beat the twins on a given night. That's why, as much as I like them, maybe getting rid of guys like Konerko, Buehrle, AJP and Jenks will turn over a new leaf in the locker room. The team just needs to go in a different direction and you can;'t tell me that going into next season anyone on the team will actually believe that they can beat the twins. It's an uphill battle
