  1. I like how he said "pitching will win it". What did you do to help the pitching staff in the offseason Kenny? Sometimes Kenny sounds really intelligent, and sometimes he just sounds asinine.
  2. Tampa Bay always wins on opening day. I believe this is the fourth straight year?
  3. Very excited about this score. Especially for Cotts. This could definitely give him some confidence. I hope the team is trying tomake a statement to KC today. If they are, then this is a completely different team then we saw last year, and I am even more excited for this season with some attitude. I'm glad we have Ozzie here to help turn this team around. Bring on the regular season!
  4. Armando just doesn't have good luck. He looked good in spring training for us last year didn't he? I know he was a casualty of the mid-season trades last year.
  5. They are 11-11 going into the game today.
  6. Being a fan, I would say that it sucks to lose those guys. Being a realist, I say those aren't devastating losses.
  7. I don't want any of the guys Rosenthal mentioned. I'm happy for right now with what we have. I don't think anybody mentioned is hands down better than who we currently have. I wouldn't give up any prospects for anybody mentioned either.
  8. Twins lost alot out of their pitching staff. So I definitely think they had a worse off season. We'll be able to tell at the end of the year though. We really didn't do a whole lot, but besides Colon, we didn't lose anybody worth a ton.
  9. I gree. But as far as signings, I gotta go with Detroit, especially with Urbina signing today. They did alot to try and bring some respect back to their organization. It'll take the year to be able to see who had the best offseason though.
  10. Buerhle is pitching today, Wright starts tomorrow.
  11. Cruz has some really nasty stuff. There is still hope for him to get himself together.
  12. This can be merged with the game thread. I didn't see the game thread up top when I posted.
  13. Soon, very soon. At least starting tomorrow the games will seem a little more real with the regulars going deeper into the games.
  14. Uribe hit his 4th HR of the spring today.
  15. Here is an update of today's game from Tucson. Starting pitchers Buerhle vs.Sparks Current score Bottom 5th Sox 4 D-Backs 0 Uribe hit his 4th HR of the spring in the top of the 5th. I am trying to listen to the game, but my radio doesn't have the greatest reception in my office building. Hope this is useful.
  16. Garland with another strong outing today. Especially against Seatlle who we always seem to have trouble with. I know it's only ST, but Garland is looking really good right now at the number 3 spot in the rotation. If he carries this over from ST, it should mean very good things for this team's chances.
  17. Garland shut out Seattle over 6 innings, giving up only 4 hits. I guess I got the answer to my own question.
  18. Garland started today correct? I am assuming he pitched well again if he did. Does anyone know the numbers on his outing?
  19. Sox 5 D-Backs 4 Bottom 4th Haven't heard too much since my radio reception at work isn't real great. Schoeneweis has 5 K's in 3 innings. Harris just trip[led though to lead off the bottom of the 4th.
  20. That sucks for Josh, I always liked him when he was withe the Sox, hopefully some team picks up on him if Anahiem chooses not to.
  21. Nice to see Grilli work himself out of the jam he got in with the walks.
  22. Hasn't Gload hit more than one homerun this spring? Either Farmer or Rooney said that he had only hit one.
  23. someone can merge this, looks like I was a couple minutes late.
