QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 08:59 AM) You're not on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen to Eric's sister!?!? Such drama! Im interested in Eric's sister getting naked. Small goals.

Ellington is likely better than a 2nd rounder.

I have to believe Lewis has almost 0 left.

Where do they think they will make more money?

That is the rumor but it really doesnt make much sense. Adidas has plenty of contracts with players on the same team, especially in other sports like Soccer.

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 03:58 PM) It's not happening so might as well not even waste a thought on it. Bulls know they have to stay conservative, they're of the mindset that I share, which is that this is a championship contending core that only needs health and a run of good luck to contend. They know they need to make some changes but they're in no rush to do it, and certainly aren't going to make panic moves. I think most disagree. Its possible the Bulls can win a championship, but its unlikely. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 04:12 PM) No matter what, at least one of Noah/Deng would have to go. Whether it is to the Magic or a 3rd team. Bulls would need to move one of those contracts (along with other guys) to get the salaries to balance out. Bulls have a lot of potential assets to offer and quite frankly better draft picks to offer then the Nets. And if Dwight walks, like I said, Bulls are in a spot where they can then amnesty Boozer and make a few other deals and they'd be in a pretty darn good spot. I would prefer Deng being moved to Noah. I like Deng, I just think its easier to find a SF to fit with Dwight, Noah and Rose.
-
You may or may not have to move Noah. Magic may want Taj and other cheap assets, not wanting Noah's salary. And Noah isnt needed, but the Bulls still are going to need another player to go from a duo to a trio.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 02:58 PM) I've decided the best thing to do if I'm the Bulls is to do anything in my power to get that 2nd star along side Rose. Even if he isn't going to sign an extension immediately, get him on the roster and take your chances. Worse case, you get a huge cap exception in a sign & trade deal (plus maybe a couple 1st rounders). Yep, get him in Chicago, let him see the UC (and let him play half a year without Rose where hell be the man), and then see if he wants to stay. As long as you dont have to move Noah, it really shouldnt matter.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 02:21 PM) How does this make any sense at all? They are trying to drag 3rd and 4th teams into the deal to make it work, period. If they could have just done a straight up trade, then why didnt they just do it in the first place? It only makes sense if the Magic are relenting and willing to take a s***ty deal from the Brook.
-
I doubt they care about f***ing dwight over, and more care about max value. If anything they seemingly are trying to appease Dwight, which is hurting their trade leverage.

Ill take the opinions of people on Soxtalk, who could actually name the reporters, instead of a guy who came to Soxtalk to presumably troll hits.

They dont lock down our computers. Ive actually had to go to unsavory sites for work.
-
I dont know they dont pay me to fix computers/internet, so my only concern is whether I can screw around on it. If I cant, that means no work is getting done out of protest.
-
You can do what you want, no one is stopping you. I understand why people boo, its a pretty instinctual reaction, its easy. I was just asking people to think about what message they are sending when they boo, if they still want to do it, that is their choice.
-
Isnt the more appropriate context, if her father would have performed better or worse if he was being booed? Isnt the point of booing to show displeasure and get a different result?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 9, 2012 -> 11:08 PM) Get outta here with that disney made for tv movie bulls***. These are grown men getting paid millions to perform. Adam Dunn did not perform. Not even a little bit. I don't care how hard you try. If you don't get it done (no pun), off with your head. I can see an injury. That's different. But besides that, that comes with the job. If you don't boo players from your team, fine. But don't act like there's something wrong with those that boo when you suck. I never said there is anything wrong with people who do. I said that if you really care about the Sox, you would think about the consequences of your actions before you do them. Its not about Disney movies, I just want to win more than anything, and I will do whatever it takes to increase my teams chances of winning. You dont seem to understand winning. If it was shown that booing improved performance, I would say boo every single player. But it doesnt, it is at best neutral, but likely negative on performance. Therefore why sabotage a player who is trying their hardest? It makes no sense, not if you care about winning.

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 9, 2012 -> 10:39 PM) You are making up rules again. If a player reads a message board and see any negativity, he's asking for it. If he asks for it, it's okay that their feelings get hurt. But have you ever heard about players not focusing on the game, i.e. drinking and partying? Or have you heard about players being lazy and not practicing? (I am not saying Dunn is, but there are certainly some Sox players who had been offenders.) If they sucked because of it, I guess they are asking for it, and we should boo them. Oh wait, according to you, we should never boo Sox players. You see, your conditions don't work in other scenarios. The notion that no one cares about how the fans feel at the game is plain ridiculous. I never said you shouldnt boo under any circumstance, I said that if they were egregious. Drinking/partying and not being able to play, boo them. Dogging it, boo them. Lazy/not practicing, boo them. Maybe you should read my arguments, because I said that there is a difference between booing performance (Dunn tried as hard as he could but struck out) and booing for not trying (Dunn swung and missed a drop third but didnt even try and run to first base.) There is a difference between booing to boo, and booing because a player didnt give it his all, which is all I ask for.

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Jul 9, 2012 -> 10:23 PM) Yeah its like how people in every stadium boo Lebron whenever he touches the ball. The man cant even open up internet explorer (lulz) without seeing some trash talked about him nearly every day during the nba season. I had a hard enough time stomaching just my mother in law being against me sheesh. I dont even know how to interpret this, but Lebron in that suit saying it makes me laugh. And booing Lebron is smart for other teams, maybe it gets to him. Heat fans booing Lebron= dumb, at home Lebron should feel that 25k people have his back.

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 9, 2012 -> 10:08 PM) So is cheerleading not a job? Why do teams even hire them? So fans booing players at the game would impact a player, but if players come on here and see a fan writing negative comments or broadcasters criticizing them on TV will not impact their performance the next day. Have you not written about anything negative about any players on here? Didn't you say if there are 0.0001% chance that your actions will impact a player's performance, you would go against it? Why is it okay for fans to react here, when we do have players who come on this board? It seems that you are making up your own rules and conditions every time. Honestly, there are so many holes in your arguments I could spend pages debating it. I would stop here. Players dont have to come on this message board, if they voluntarily seek out criticism and/or admiration, they open themselves up to all of the ills on the message board. As I said previously a proper way to address your concerns is to "write a letter", posting on a message board is writing a letter. If they want to read it, so be it. You could spend the next 200 years debating, you arent going to change anyone's mind.

If you dont have anything nice to say, you dont need to say anything at all. What good does it to boo boozer, besides for making you feel a little better about yourself.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 9, 2012 -> 09:54 PM) What separates Sox fans from any other fanbase in sports? Why can't we boo our own when they don't perform? Because booing is may have a negative impact on performance and I want my team to win, is that a good reason? Sports are about winning and losing, and I want my team to win. I boo the other team, because booing is shown to have a negative impact. See how that works.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 9, 2012 -> 09:50 PM) And you just proved my point. So thank you. You do know Im arguing that Sox fans should almost never boo their own players, regardless of whether they have personal problems.
