  1. I usually tip 20% on tax regardless of service. The only thing that Ill do that is b****y is that if Im at a diner with a register I just leave the money on the table. I see no reason I should have to get up to pay, to then return to my table to put down a tip. That is just silly and inefficient. If Im paying for service, then complete the job you bastards!
  2. Thats not what he said at all. He said from "afar", meaning that the person isnt close enough to see the brand name. Most regular people arent professional jewelers who can recognize, silver, stainless steel or other shiny metals from 5 feet away. Hell many regular people cant tell the difference between cz and diamond up close. Regardless who cares, if he thinks no one notices, that is all that matters. Clothes don't make the man, it's the man that makes the clothes.
  3. They may be worth more to the campaign as a drug dealer is likely not going to directly contribute, but the overall value to society is lost. Most estimates are US consumers spend about 60-100 bil per year on drugs. Think about all the income tax not being paid, all the sales tax not being collected. Doesnt make much sense.
  4. Well the hope would be with another 4 years hell get his act together. Its hard to believe that the govt doesnt want a piece of that drug money. So much tax revenue lost.
  5. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/obama-h...-154948662.html If only Obama could be cool. The osmosis part was my favorite, in college I used to put the books under my bed because it couldnt hurt.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 25, 2012 -> 11:32 AM) As long as you have no problem looking like a schlub at work, then you're set! Many high profile people dont wear watches these days. I never wear any form of jewelry, watch, necklace, etc. I personally think that is the classiest business look, although once in a while I am tempted to get a nice watch for social functions. But that would just be for status symbol only, and I wouldnt wear it on a daily basis.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 25, 2012 -> 12:25 PM) Yet so many celebrities who can easily afford cabs/limos consistently get DUIs. Jenna Jameson being the newest member of the club. P.S. I think your math is off, there are more than 5 weeks in a year. haha youre right I missed a decimal point.
  8. I know, the announcers kept saying it was the Heat. But a few of those were just horrific passes to no one.
  9. Nice move by the Sox, hopefully they do something for Illinois State Police as well. If they are going to have empty seats, might as well get some goodwill out of it.
  10. One of the reasons I live in the city is so that there is absolutely no temptation to ever drink and drive. I go out by L and come home by cab. $40 a week in cab/transportation for nights out = $200 a year or $20,000 for 100 years. Seems like a bargain to me when you consider how much money youd have to pay for 1 DUI (counting fees, fines, insurance premium increase, loss of reputation). One of the dumbest things you can do.
  11. When Wade is on there just are to many problems for a defense. Its just so hard to deal with a pick and roll, because a big guy like Hibbert gets stuck to far out, or to deep under the basket on the switch. Im thinking the Heat may sweep the next series. The real test would be a team like OKC, who can play at a similar scoring pace and they have Durant.
  12. After using the term what a hundred times, you finally got one right? You didnt go read those books I recommended now did you? Because there is quite a difference between people who change their opinion because someone powerful tells them to (this example) and your common use of the term, which you were applying to people who previously held the belief, and then were sticking to their belief, when someone powerful agreed with him. Although I would probably be able to argue successfully that its more likely that once people saw the error of their ways, they changed their mind. For example: For many years it was believed that the Sun revolves around the Earth. When Copernicus said that the Earth revolved around the Sun, people who agreed with him werent necessarily sheep, and most likely Nietzche (you know the one who created the sheep theory) would have argued that it was those who stuck to the antiquated religious dogma were sheep. Because ultimately it was morals/religion that created sheep, so when it comes to gay marriage, it would be likely that those opposed would fall into the "sheep" category as they are blindly following religious dogma (the very essence of his theory) as opposed to those in favor of gay marriage who most likely would not be considered sheep.
  13. Heat overcame a lot of adversity that series, have to respect that.

Does anyone watch Revenge? I know its probably considered a ladies show, but it is good. Anyway, if anyone did, I wanted to know what you thought about the last scene.
  16. The Heat are out of control, I cant believe the NBA will allow them to be Bad Boys 2.0.
  17. Pacers playing terrible tonight. At this point they just have to try and get some momentum for next game and hope that Lebron gets injured on the flight.
  18. He needs an attorney to try and resolve this. Its impossible to tell whats going on because I have no record of the 2 previous DUI's. Where they settled, are they open, was their a verdict? These answers could all definitely impact this matter. Regardless 3 DUI's is at a level where an attorney is probably mandatory to work out a deal. And he may even need 2 attorneys, 1 in NV and 1 in KS. It all just depends on what has already happened.
