I've read all the articles people have sent in so far. I'll e-mail these people back with my thoughts as soon as possible. I'd guess sometime next week. If you still would like to write a "tryout" article, it is definately not too late. Thank you all for the support, and thank you to everyone that has written so far.

No it's not. Billy Beane hasn't proved s***. The A's were always built around Hudson, Mulder and Zito, pitchers whom weren't brought in or scouted by Beane. Those A's offenses have always been anemic, and we saw how "good" the players Beane brought in were last year when their big three wasn't so big. Grinding and small ball only gets you so far. You eventually you need the go to guy. The A's (and Twins) have been living proof of that for years. Screw Billy Beane and screw his philosophy. Every World Series champ has a leader on the offensive side, something the A's don't have...and even when they did, they still choked.

Well, I decided I'm going to get WhiteSoxCentral.com back up and running. Construction on the site will begin sometime at the end of January. Right now, however, I'm going to be holding "auditions" for people that would be interested in writing regularly. I'd probably call for 1-2 articles a week with topics on the White Sox. This time around I can't say as we'll report the news so strictly as anyone can get that crap from the Tribune, but rather turn around into ESPN's Page 2, or just a site where you can get any crazy White Sox crap. History, odd stats, comparisons...etc, etc. Instead of hiring people that are just simply willing however, I'm going to ask for a small article to prove that you are capable of writing. Something along the lines of a 400 word minumum. E-mail it to [email protected] if you are interested. If you simply have ideas for the secondcoming of the site, feel free to reply. Thanks a ton. EDIT: The article doesn't have to be about the White Sox. Any topic will do, actually.

The soundtrack is as good as ever. You're absolutely right that Wes's movies are better then most. The Life Aquatic was great, it really was.

I'm in love with Wes. I saw an early screening of The Life Aquatic in Chicago, and I'll say that it won't disappoint, but it isn't as good as his previous three. This is a personal opinion. It is also the first movie Owen Wilson didn't co-write, and through the movie you can tell.

You act as if the White Sox offered an equal deal, he'd have dropped his s*** and signed with the White Sox. It doesn't work that way. If two deals of equal value come on the table, one from the White Sox, the other from the Red, you'd be stupid not to take the one from the Red. The Sox would have had to overpay an injury proned pitcher, and as we all know that ain't Jerry's style. It's not mine either, and it shouldn't ever be anyones. I can't wait until it bites the Mets in the arse.
