QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 07:28 PM) Going after Thome on outside pitches. He's not taking the bait ... good strategy. I'm starting to get an idea who you're referencing when you say "drunkards".

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 07:28 PM) But I know you will admit to your fart having odor. The dog left the room. I sat and admired.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 07:26 PM) Much like some people's farts have no odor. I swear to god...right as I started reading that I ripped a HUGE one.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) I guess the personal attack policy is now null and void...........or just selectively applied. Don't hold your breath waiting for an answer. Some of us dont have to answer for their f***ups around here. He's already hiding.

QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 07:22 PM) I thought this was the game thread, let's talk baseball. Thanks. As if all the threads on SoxTalk stay on topic anyway? It was a simple question.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 06:36 PM) Nuke, Freddy would need a big pressure gas station to succeed. Perhaps if he worker at a very dangerous gas station, say one that gets robbed a lot. One that sells a lot of *that* herb.

QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 12:27 PM) Maybe because you are a fan of that persons work? Just because I like someone doesn't mean I am going to go watch them if I think the movie is worthless, thats just stupid. You're a fan of the wrong persons work, IMO. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 12:22 PM) ....i liked that movie So did I. ...?
-
QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 11:53 AM) real excited to see 'little miss sunshine', basically just because steve carrel's in it........and he has a beard I'll never understand why people go to see movies for actors and actresses. (If you'll notice Adam Sandler in Punch Drunk Love you'll get some idea how worthless an actor is and how pivitol a writer and director is.)
-
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 10:05 PM) If anything, Ozzie should have had a RHP ready for Cuddyer if he didn't want Cotts to pitch to him. That'd never happen. A pitcher finishes what he starts with Ozzie, 40 ER or not.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:49 PM) I went out and measured it myself. The Sox are being forced to run 100 ft. to get to the base, but the opposition only has to run 80 ft. It's a conspiracy by ESPN/Fox to make sure we don't make the playoffs again and draw low ratings. I wouldn't be shocked.
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:43 PM) Yes. I'm sure Morneau was trying to do that. He hits the ball very, very hard for his hits. He doesn't dink and dunk. He popped it up. It happens. Not anybodys fault. But I suppose everyone around here has to blame it on somebody. Did you see the pitch he hit? 90% of lefties in this league walk to the bench on that. As well as on the low and away pitch (if they bother swinging like Morneau did).
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:38 PM) But he wasn't overmatched. He got him to pop up weakly. That's being overmatched? You ever played baseball? You ever watch Frank Thomas play in his prime? Good hitters get cheap hits when they shouldn't.
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:34 PM) Morneau CRUSHED that ball. terrible job by Cotts and Ozzie. LOL. I feel sorry for all of the great posters/people on this board that don't come around here much anymore cause of what has happened to this board. That's far beyond the point. And after Morneau fouled off that ball low and away in the dirt, it was pretty obvious Cotts was overmatched.
-
I see little logic to it other than the lefty-lefty match-up. But given Cotts numbers against righties and lefties, the smart play was going after Cuddyer (in more ways than one). Is Thornton not available? Why does Cotts get these type of situations still? He's been s*** for a good chunk of time now.
