  1. Just trade for Heath Bell already (green)
  2. Rios as leadoff is a bad idea. You need someone who can actually get on base. For some reason, i see Alexei as the best option.
  3. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 02:40 PM) 5 bucks says Dunn hits 2 bombs tonight... If by "bombs" you mean striking out swinging, then I will take your bet.
  4. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 06:46 PM) I really gave this guy a chance. I mean he's built to succeed. He just strikes me as an athlete who is happy to collect his paycheck and doesn't care much about winning, etc. This, too. Never hated a player more on the Sox than this guy. Not Borchard, not Ritchie, not even Paniagua. Rios. Too bad there is not a chance in he'll of unloading that contract. We're stuck with him. He's our Soriano.
  5. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 04:25 PM) I loathe his worthless ass.
  6. Adam Dunn fact of the day: If you subtract the at-bats that resulted in strikeouts, he's 33-106, a .311 BA. - So there! Courtesy of @ckamka
  7. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 05:27 PM) This is great! Nice to have Robin with the White Sox in any capacity. Welcome back #23!! Couldn't agree more.
  8. I am excited that we may see Jeff Marquez pitch tonight - green.
  9. Might be a good time to recall Teahen, if PK isn't ready to go. They'd be a little shorthanded on the bench.
  10. Dunn will strikeout 210 times this year. Rios will show up in his pajamas, because he's too lazy to change into his uniform. Danks will end up with 10 wins and 16 losses.
  11. No Rios in the lineup. A birthday gift, with a bow on top.
  12. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 29, 2011 -> 02:15 PM) Well we are going to be. We don't have very tradeable assets. We don't pick til 47th this year. We have huge contracts tied up to unproductive and injured players. We really won't be good for like five years IMO. This is going to be a VERY long summer, with no more Bulls, possibly no NFL, and obviously no MLB worthy teams to watch.
  13. I want to see Omar Vizquel pitch today.
  14. a Dunn strikeout in a game is probably more predictable than the sun coming up everyday.
  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 26, 2011 -> 07:41 PM) Which was? Because if it was anything less than 170, then yes. 175 in 1963
  16. Dunn is going to shatter Dave Nicholson's team strikeout record.
  17. He is the biggest waste of money that I can remember. In my entire Sox fandom, I don't think I have hated anyone more. At least Dunn knows he's sucking and admitting. Rios doesn't seem to give a sh*t.
  18. a 7-3 road trip should put them at .500. Tough, but possible
  19. Went to a wedding last night and happened to meet Scott Merkin. Picked his brain a little bit. -I asked him about the 6-man staff. He says Edwin Jackson may be the odd man out. They may try and trade him, but would be tough considering his salary. But they may hold off entirely to see if Peavy is fully recovered. -They may bring Buehrle back (he's not going to retire). Reinsdorf loves him, but only it's between $6-$8 mil annually. I post more when I remember what else he said to me.
  20. I'll be there. With my dog. He is currently 2-0 when he goes to the game.
  21. Last week, they 23 innings without scoring a run. How many innings do they go without a hit. I going for at least 15
