WTF CBS??? I have been waiting patiently for the last month or so for Person of Interest's return only to find online that this upcoming season has been shortened to only 13 episodes but it's the LAST season. RIP Team Machine........
  3. Sad day in my household this morning as my Playstation 2 finally crapped out after 15 years of service.
  4. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 6, 2015 -> 12:26 PM) Ben Carson fabricated a story about getting accepted to West Point. http://www.politico.com/story/2015/11/ben-...st-point-215598 yeah.....about that...... Politico admits to hit piece......

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 26, 2015 -> 03:02 PM) I think it's just sort of cheap, to get everyone worked up, then come back with some miraculous recovery on how he survived, because he is a central character, or as they are calling it, his character is "plot safe". I do agree the action has certainly picked up this season and been entertaining.
  6. I had to be 7 or 8 when we went to see the original Star Wars. I remember liking the movie but my biggest memory from that day was it was the first time I was allowed to salt my popcorn myself...and damn did I blow THAT job. I remember it was like eating a salt lick. Just thinking about it now, makes my blood pressure rise 30 points.
  7. Looks like Jake Arrieta hit the wall harder than Princess Diana last night. Gee......my Facebook is awfully quiet this morning..........
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 02:16 PM) How can Cub fans be pompous with their history? They should be cowering in a corner waiting for bad stuff to happen. Exactly the point Greg....they HAVE no reason to be that way yet Cub fans (not all) ARE that way. At the very least when they compare themselves to the south side. First it was winning the Attendance Cup (no such thing), then it was "Our ballpark is better" even when they knew it was a falling apart cesspool. Then is was "Well.....Sammi hit more HR's than your whole team" and well..we all know what happened there. To me, that has always been the most confusing thing....there is NO reason for them be be bragging or have an attitude for just BEING a Cub fan yet they did. Like putting up with s***ty teams for X amt of years is cool......i don't get it.....never have....never will
  9. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 01:06 PM) Cardinals fans are beyond pompous. But somehow less so than Cubs fans. It just seems less because at the very least, Cardinal fans have a reason to be pompous (many WS titles) as opposed to the Cubs (NO titles in forever)

Starting season 3 f Vikings......I can't begin to say how much I am liking this show.. Yesterday finished Season 1 of Bloodline. Took me long enough to struggle through it. not sure if I'm up for season 2
  11. While out doing errands today...my kid and I stopped at Portillo's in bolingbrook for lunch. It was busy as hell and we ended up getting a table next to (well....two tables down) from a couple of Cub fans. How did I know they were Cub fans??? I knew cause they were loud enough for everyone to hear and obnoxious about it too. talking loudly about how the cubs were going to destroy the Cards...and how they were going to OWN the city of chicago even more once they win it all this year. Both of the guys were dressed in brand new Cubs jerseys (again..they were bragging about them) and talking about heading up north to hang out in front of Wrigley Field with the other Cub fans. I could barely stifle my laughter when one of the guys picked up his sandwich, took a bite, and dripped red sauce all down the front of his new cubs jersey.
  12. I remember driving home from Bloomingdale (on 355) on a Friday night during rush hour. I was going faster than some.....slower than others though I still managed to be the one to get pulled over. The cop approached my car on the passenger side....put his elbows on my window and did the usual "Do you know why I pulled you over?" routine. I don't remember what i said to that but he said i was speeding and again the typical question "Why were you speeding?" In my head i was saying "because i'm on a f***ing expressway in f***ing Chicago and i don't want to get run over" but instead i went with something along the lines of "It's Friday...and just trying to get home like everyone else to start my weekend" OF COURSE, i get the smartass reply of "Well...It's Friday night for me too..and I'd like to go home to start my weekend" Obviously...there is nothing I can say to this that doesn't get me in deeper trouble so i say nothing. He then leans in a little closer (again...from my passenger side) and says my eyes are all red and asks why. I say 'Really?" and i look in my rear view and my eyes are as white as snow. "Sir...i know the light in here isn't great but my eyes are fine." He stares at me a long time and finally asks for my info and goes back to write me my speeding ticket. He came back with a ticket and of course the obligatory "You should consider yourself lucky this is the only ticket I'm writing you" I never did figure out what he was thinking he could write me another ticket for....i said "thank you officer and have a nice weekend" f***er still followed me for the next 10 miles.......

Watching the Heroes reboot. With the exception of the Katana girl storyline, I've rather enjoyed it. It's also nice to see Carbondale get a mention....lol

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 25, 2015 -> 05:55 AM) That was a great episode. Laurence Fishburne has some of the best lines. "You smell like wide open ass." The best part was in the work meeting when they were discussing when and who can use the N-word. Rosie Perez is allowed...J Lo isn't......haha

  20. Saw The Man from Uncle this weekend. I liked it a lot. great setup for a sequel but i believe it didn't do very well so I will assume that won't happen. The couple (or three) of hot women in there weren't bad either....

FINALLY got around to the first 6 episodes of Vikings....I really like it. One thing I noticed was that the lead actor reminded me a lot of Charlie Hunnam (Jax from SOA) The actress playing his wife looks very nice though

Fear the Walking Dead tonight......considering it will start out at the beginning of the 'outbreak', it will cover some non Walking Dead ground. Should make it a bit interesting watching the breakdown of society around them. I hope this does well.....
