  2. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 05:45 PM) Keep Timo as your 4th outfielder and Willie as your backup 2nd Baseman. It's that simple. Borchard = September Call-up. Borchard will be a September call-up well into his thirties. I just hope he doesn't have all of them with us.
  3. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 10:51 PM) who is she? does it really matter??

  5. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 10:47 PM) Tell the girl in your avatar that she's a tease. like all the other avatars i've had, except this one's in animation
  6. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 10:43 PM) As much as I would love him to win rookie of the year.. I rather have another award 2005 AL Central Champs Chicago White Sox
  7. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) Last time I checked, the Sox set a franchise record for home runs in a season, and they did it with Maggs and Frank missing a combined 198 games (hell, Frank had one at bat in each of the 3 scrub games at Wrigley, so it was closer to 200.) Uribe can provide almost as much pop as Jose, but he can get on a lot more. Iguchi could potentially be an offensive upgrade over Harris/Uribe. Is there any was Joe Crede of 2005 can be worse than the Joe Crede of 2004? Konerko needs to start hitting on the road. AJ is a major offensive upgrade over Olivo/Alomar/Burke/Davis Rowand didn't start hitting until June last season. So the question is, "Is a combination of a healthy Carl Everett, Jermaine Dye, and Scott Podsednik better offensively than a Carlos Lee/Joe Borchard/Ross Gload/Timo Perez combo?" I think so. All you need to say is Pod better than borchard/gload/perez combo....cuz obviously everett and dye are better than a plain Lee. And yes...Pod is better than that combo...
  8. QUOTE(toasty @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 10:40 PM) Provided that Iguchi does indeed sign his contract, at least on the surface, the sox got a better deal than did the A's, with their signing of a sub-.500 career pitcher. Press Release Wow......he replaces Hudson/Mulder huh??
  9. the team is really good right now...let's wait until the season to start judging where the weak points are. there is always the trade deadline, and there is always someone the Sox can get during the deadline....patience with the team. But i have no patience to see them play....can't wait til opening day.
  10. QUOTE(striker62704 @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 10:29 PM) The things I look forward to are more consistency from our offense, more consistency in our pitching, a wider range of talent, a solid bench, and the only question mark I think right now is a bullpen spot and Crede. I'm so pumped for the season. I feel like having someone freeze my body until April. I hate how after each move KW made made me more anxious to get to opening day....if it weren't for time i'd be a happier person...............and younger(even though i'm only 20)
  11. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) Crazy contract. 2005 - 4M 2006 - 13.5M 2007 - 14.5M 2008 - 16M 2009 - 16M (vesting option) 16M for a 38 year old Delgado doesnt' seem like a good buy. and he will be in the NL so he won't be DH'ing if he gets real bad at fielding or suffers an injury. And still 16 mill for a DH would be outrageous...Marlins=Morons with this contract. :headshake

  14. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) It's ironic, but the perfect guy to be our utility IF ..... a veteran that can play 2B, SS and 3B and hits LH ....is Jose Valentin. but not for the money we want to give that UIF...but how much does valentin make now??
