Try to get that K rate down a little...and he'll be a perfect DH for that 2020 club. Would be awesome if he was lefty though LOL

Race for the worst 2018 record (Top 5 pick) again
Decent home/away splits the last few years. My number 1 would be Harper...but I feel that Arenado fits our 2020 squad the best. 3rd base is more of a need than outfield also. 5 time Gold glove defense, sign me up...our team definitely needs the defense. Give me all the defense.

Verlander tells Sox fans they suck
He's not wrong?

From what I've seen so far...McClure looks like someone to pay attention to as well. He could be right behind these guys once they're up here. If he continues his current progression...he could be used as a piece to get someone the team needs, or he can replace someone the team trades from the rotation. I'm carefully optimistic for his future. Had an impressive game tonight...and so far so good this season.

If i was managing...My main goal for Avi: I want you to take a walk. Foul pitches off...if you get a hit, that's great. But I want you to walk. Pick a zone on the plate and zero in. anything beyond that out of the zone TAKE. everything else that's close try to battle...build on that. Every one of his at bats he's starting 0-2 or 1-2...and you look at the pitch zone and there are 3 to 5 balls up there with maybe a strike. Pitchers don't throw anything in the zone to him. Of course he isn't going to square anything up for good contact on shit out of the zone, so he needs to shrink his batter eye and swing at HIS pitch.

Rotation for me. Maybe give him an inning cutoff...but he should be starting off the bat IMO.

There really is no immediate improvement for this staff. Just got to struggle through this until the MiLB staff replaces all but Rodon, Lopez, and Giolito(hopefully)

I find it funny Trayce is our only run of the game. He's been here 2 days .

I'm probably more frustrated with him than worried. I'm an impatient person lol.

If he isn't hurt, he needs to change something up in his delivery or something. Do you let him do that in the minors, or let him work through it in the majors? That's for the FO to decide, but if he's hurt, I'm wondering what the problem could be.

It is going to get worse before it gets better
Unless they're the Dodgers, Yankees, Redsox, Cardinals, or Rangers...Every other team has 4 or less playoff appearances in the last 10 years. Padres and Marlins at 0, Sox at 1

It is going to get worse before it gets better
Is that a serious question? LOL They were out of it before the season started. The world series for Sox fans right now should be 4 or 5 of the players on this team being 3+ WAR players. That to me is a successful season. Add in seeing some more young guys come up towards the end and develop.

I have a feeling Santiago and Volstad are going to be pitching a lot this year from the 3rd inning on

Avi should take some hints and tips from TA about batting, and taking a pitch. Something TA has done well this year.

I'd be fine never seeing Engel start another game.

Anderson, Moncada, Lopez, Abreu(?), Giolito(?) Can't really see anyone else being keepers for that team. The bullpen will be entirely different, and the entire rotation is probably still in the minors at this point. The outfield is in the minors...and half the infield as well. After thinking this through...you're right. I'd say a max of 5 guys make it to the 2020 team.
