I didn't mean it that way. I meant trading away high-value positional strength in the minors. Like Sox trading our top pitching or outfield depth...any prospect is expendable for trout is kinda how I meant it.

Maybe they could be thinking of trading for and extending him? Are there any expendable prospects Phillies could give Anaheim?

I remember the days when I posted at least 15 times a day...last 8 or so years been maybe 15 times a year. I remember spending so much time on here. The last decade has taken its toll on me LOL.

Lopez and Giolito kinda remind me of the first year the Sox had Danks and Floyd pitching together. Both had abysmal first years overall for the Sox, but looked decent at times. They both finished with balloon ERAs ...however the following years were actually pretty good years for them. I think the experience overall for this year is HUGE for both, I'm expecting way better results next year.

Are black pants allowed? Make an inverse of the home pinstripes but make them the road jersey. Wearing all black during the day would be brutal certain times so they could go grey for those games, but all night games, and dome games could work. The white socks would pop more I think. Kinda like th '17 or the '25 road jerseys, but a more modern shape to them instead of a classic baggy look. Go with a full black hat.

Torres also hits in a crazy lineup though. It's unsustainable, but he won't slump as bad as Moncada has. I myself am not worried, just saying Torres and Moncada play for completely different team lineups. I'm sure Moncada would be putting up similar numbers if he had that level of protection.

Jose's defense at first is serviceable for a team if you have a masher taking up the DH slot, which Davidson and Palka are. I'm fine with his D, as long as he is letting a worse defender not play the field. He isn't costing the Sox too much on defense as far as the eye test.

If you could see stat splits per month instead of to date you'd be able to see May at least...then figure the last week of April. Looks like he's only had 34 or so at bats unfortunately against LHP.
