  1. we did a hit and run against baltimore Crede was batting think Julio was pitching cant really remember.
  2. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 18, 2005 -> 02:03 PM) Last year's draft certainly helped things there, and even a few guys who we took there early we haven't seen much of this season, from Lumsden to Whisler. B-Ham do have a great team prospect wise at the moment though. And I wouldn't count out Chris Young from the starting outfield projections yet Jabroni, the Sox are definitely pretty high on him. Does Chris Young still have that really long swing.... because if he does he reminds me of another Crede/Borchard in the making.
  3. good thing is Dellucci doesnt start vs lefties and he really has hit us well, also Nix sucks vs lefties and even though he has same amount of HR's from both sides Blalock is a lot worse vs lefties too... I think the key players Mark needs to watch our for are Soriano and Mench. Mench has been hitting the ball really well this series and that one AB vs Garland he had like 10 foul line drives. Not to mention 2 HR's the 1st game. Soriano because he seems like the type of hitter that could take Mark deep.
  4. Reynold knows a lot about the game, well more than the other clowns on baseball tonight.. but he doesnt really seem to keep up with whats going on.. Gammons at least knows whats happening in Boston.... Kruk is by far the worse... couldnt stop hit fat ass from laughing from that smoltz play.
  5. well i asked the same question and its believed that Sweeney is athletic enough to make the move to 1B and be really good at it, i guess Albert Pujols like kind of... My Ideal future:(2-4 years down the line if everything works out perfectly) C:AJ Pieryznski(he is the man) 1B: Adrian Gonzalez(trading Contreras this off-season for him) 2B: Tadahito Iguchi SS: Juan Uribe 3B: Josh Fields LF: Ryan Sweeney CF: Brian Anderson RF: Jerry Owens DH: Chris Young(if Franks retired) Starting Rotation: Mark Buehrle, Jon Garland, Freddy Garcia, B-Mac, Gio Gonzalez Bullpen: Tracey, Jenks, Marte, Politte, Castro, Hermy, Vizcaino Bench: C: Hernandez, 1B/LF: Rogowski, 2B/SS: Alex Cintron, SuperUtility:Rob Mackowiak, OF:
  6. Even though Iguchi says he can hit 20 HR's.... dont take his word for it... Rowand has much more power than Iguchi and Iguchi is more of a protypical number 2 hitter... right now our 1-3 hitters are really only thing working well in the lineup no need to fix what isnt broken.
  7. damn, Owens, Young, Sweeney, and Anderson have me so excited about the future.... At this rate seems like all of them will make it, Now i think some people told me Sweeney can play 1B too is that true and can he play any other positions?
  8. I dont understand how in todays society its ok for black people to make fun of white people but not the other way around? Me being brown I can make fun of everyone
  9. QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 18, 2005 -> 04:03 AM) I am so impressed with Gooch. I 'm just amazed at how well he has done. If he wasn't such a good number 2 hitter I wouldnt mind seeing him get more opportunities for RBI. If Paulie and Deadeye Dye continue to slump putting Iguchi # 5 or 6 should be considered . But how the hell can you take him outta the 2 hole when he has been perfect ? Let's hope Frank's return sparks a return to form for Paulie. With all the chances he's had to knock in runs he could be leading the league if his average was .260. Way i look at it With Frank back we have a stretch of Uribe, Pods, Iguchi, Rowand, and Frank to count on...
  10. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 18, 2005 -> 02:40 AM) Out of all the guys in the pen there's nobody I trust to get out of a jam more than Hermey. I trust Cliff Politte just as much almost... he has given up a couple of runs but with that 98 mph fastball he has shown sometimes and with way he is pitching i have complete confidence in him.
  11. QUOTE(TheDybber @ May 17, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) When is .262 not good? It's ok, but considering he was below .240 last year, that's a marked improvement. If he can keep it at .265 the rest of the year, I would call it a success. Walker can only get in their ears. He doesn't have the respect of a Charlie Lau, who was his hitting coach when he played. Charlie Lau wasn't about homers at all, he was about open stances, waiting on the back foot, and hitting line drives. And don't forget, nobody thinks this team has the big boppers like they had with Carlos, Maggs and Frank. So when Frank gets back, if he can hit like we all know he can, that will open up the lineup to some good ol' hitters pitches. Don't give up on Walker yet. Did you miss my point completely.... I said he is doing the job with the players he has been working with.... and .262 isnt good but like i said its an improvement for Crede.
  12. QUOTE(ISF @ May 17, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) KC won't trade him within the division. I dont see why they wont, They are far away from being contenders really... by time they might actually have a team to contend with Sweeney's contract might already up.
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 17, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) I agree, I will try and stop posting that he is worthless until that date comes and goes, after that, every post will begin with Dye is worthless. Yes write that date on the calendar.... The day the Dye bashing is reborn!!!
  14. To be fair, Konerko and Dye really do a lot on their own, Konerko has been changing his swing it seems like every other AB and thats mostly Konerko's doing not Walkers. The guys i would assume Walker worked the most with are Podsenick(who is hitting the ball and taking walks) and Crede(who still isnt good, but better than last year)
  15. I think we should keep the team how it is, and the re-evaluate it come the all star break... If Dye and Carl are still hitting like they are now... and Anderson still hitting at a good clip... than consider it a possibility. Also if I had to choose I much rather call Anderson up than call B-Mac up like some people want too.
  16. does anyone have an audio of the He Gawn phrase Hawk always uses... I need one for a power point presentation in class tommorow
  17. GoodAsGould

    Marte

He still is a good RP, he just isnt what we used to think he was, his control is definitely a problem... and if falls behind 3-0 he probably should just walk the guy because he isnt going to throw 3 strikes in a row anyways.
  18. he has a good arm, but it isnt the same arm he used to have..... I just think Dye is done as being a productive player....
  19. QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ May 16, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) And he has the same pitches as Buerhle Maybe he is Buehrle
  20. that link goes to your login page.
  21. how do we get to your albums?
  22. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ May 16, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) I thought Kingdom of Heaven was bad.... .... I thought it was great, definitely a movie im looking forward to buy on DVD.
  23. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 16, 2005 -> 03:57 AM) Yes extremely dissapointing. Possible playoff matchup. Two best teams in baseball. Not just the division or leagues, but baseball. 2.6 is bad if you are the best team in baseball. Before, we weren't close at all being at the top. We were happy being in the division race. Right now, we could get home-field advantage through the ALCS. I bet the Orioles will outdraw us. I know about the attendance patterns. There should be no reason why there is this low. Have White Sox fans sunked that low in which now there needs to be a major promotion(half price night; and dont forget there was dollar-dog thursday and fireworks on saturday) for them to head out to a game. That's not right. The side shows should be bonus, not the main attraction. Sadly most Sox fans feel the other way. For the 2 best teams in baseball, that's pathetic. Ok we might be 1st place but its still May.... Like its been said earlier, if we are still struggling to get 30,000 to a game after school is out and weather is warm and we are still a 1st place team than be worried.... until than calm down and enjoy the run.
