a lot of you missed the point of this thread it seems like it to me.... the person who started this topic wasnt implying that willie needs to start hitting HR's but when will he so all the posts about he doesnt need to hit HR's are completely useless... and btw i say he will have 3 for the season maybe 4

on the first base subject right now i think for the AL it has to be 1 of 2 guys.... either frank thomas or david ortiz./....

coming into the season i didnt care for jose much but so far he has kind of impressed me and i wouldnt take him out of the lineup no matter how much he K's in 1 day

ehhh to say we dont need maggs is wrong we might of won without him today but over the whole season we wouldnt make it w/out him unless we got a #1 starter for him.... i dont think we need to resign him though with all those prospects in the minors but would still be nice seeing him in sox uniform for 4-5 more years.

heep sop choi or whatevr got an inside the park this year and he is really slow 2..... speed has nothing to do with an inside the park its all luck

how about jason jennings on colorado his numbers dont look great but can you really blame him with the park he is in and i dont think the rockies are that attached to him since their team relies on hitting the ball out of the park at home.

basicly we get rid of cancer aka Paul Konerko and Aaron Rowand... put willie harris in the CF spot find a good contact hitting 1B and i think we would have a pretty solid team with people that can get on base for the long ball method to be effective.

ive said it before but instead of odalis perez or whatevr i think we should get oliver perez he is on a losing team that know they arent going anywhere in the near feauture so im pretty sure we could get him with only losing a couple prospects maybe and he is young and talented good to have in are core of young pitchers for next year 2..... buehrle garland cotts and perez would give us 4 starting pitchers for years to come.

even though he hit good today heres a fun thought about how people been saying we need valentin well since he got back we have lost 2 of 3 series and one of them we were swept against a team we won 3 out of 4 games just a little while back without valentin

anyone see the game where ventura charged the pitcher on the rangers and the rangers guy put him in a headlock and start bashing his head in lol.... he was a great sox player

good deal man ditching school to see not 1 but 2 sox games and get to see felix diaz on his major league debut..... cant wait till im a senior next year because then ill do that whenevr since seniors dont have to take 2nd semester finals( as long as i dont miss more then 5 days for games )

starting pitching right now im not sure but i would rate cleveland higher then we are with the cleveland games ive watched good thing their bullpen is worse then the royals starting pitching though

i think he will be a lot better then hows he played so far... really his only bad outing was against the yankees so dont worry 2 much about him especially after today against a good hitting orioles team
