  1. It's the lack of direction. You go in or what are you doing? Right now they've made major upgrades, but remain not worthy of contention at this point. The issue here is, that the FA class, trade possibilities were ripe for the pickings. We had opportunity after opportunity to 'finish the offseason' and have a very complete team, but they continued to pass. There's still time, but with statements like these, one has to consider the reality that we are done for the offseason. The amount of OF'rs that passed by us is large and if it is because they couldn't afford the $$$, for this big baseball organization, just seems a bit lame or seems as if they had no real plan.
  2. We're f***ing doomed if that is a 'financial stretch'.
  3. Brian, whats your team like? Who are you keeping? Whats an example trade?
  4. Bucks are a huge disappointment to me. Bulls are second or third.
  5. 10 team league, slightly less impressive, more realistic, but I can't imagine too many teams out there better than you.
  6. Title Match HHH vs. Ambrose! Awesome. I assume next week in Chicago. Maybe Ambrose has a chance! Likely just to set up further Ambrose vs. Brock, I'd imagine, showcasing Ambrose's character.
  7. This league of Nations seems kind of silly. Cool gimmick for the group, but what do THEY get out of doing the bidding for HHH? A handshake?
  8. ^^ Yes, Dolphs character, now that I think about it, does seem kind of stale these days, but that should easily be fixed by the WWE storyline guys.
  9. #5: Main event of Dean Ambrose vs. Del Rio. Hm. Better than Reigns (hasn't been seen on the show, kinda weird, huh? Main eventing wrestlemania and not on the show tonight) vs anyone. Dean Ambrose is a cool character, would be funny to see him get a title shot, win the title before wrestlemania, then have to do double duty at WM and become a king. OK, that's wishful thinking.
  10. Cool. Thanks for the answers. That's weir about Dolph. I don't know how to feel. I like him better than 80%+ of the other wrestlers and feel like his in-ring work is great (haven't watched much). I'm not so sure that trying to be HBK (the best in ring performer!) can necessarily be a bad thing. Still doesn't feel right to me, the guy could of had a monstrous career it seems. Re: HOF I see, that makes sense, I'll check it out this year if I'm available.
  11. #4. What do people feel about the WWE HOF? It feels like anyone and everyone is just getting in?
  12. 1. Hopefully a big NO to Kevin Owens vs. Big Show. Borefest. 2. Yes, weak Taker appearance, why promote him for that. 3. Question regarding Dolph Ziggler. I read in wikipedia that this guy has been a world champion. WTF happened? The guy screams HBK#2 to me with his look / style. He seems like a good wrestler? Why does he job all the time and wtf happened to him?
  13. Anyone have tickets to wwe RAW in chicago next week? (03/06 or something) ?
  14. Assuming that's a 12 team league you have a stacked team. Your OF is ridiculous, by far best in league. Two first rounders and a second rounder. Dee gordon at 2b, Freeman a solid option at first, and C, SS, and 3b are by no means slouches for you either. SP is, I'd think, at least league average or better with Stras, Rodon, Carlo, Lance.
  15. Indeed, as another FA passes us this year (Desmond at an absolutely great price, also would have been able to help at two major holes, OF and SS) we are looking like the worst case scenario after the trade of Frazier. After the trade of Frazier many stated that they must go all in now. If they trade for Frazier and do nothing more, than we are in the worst possible case scenario. Hopelessly bad.
  16. You are creating hypothetical scenarios based not on reality. Don't think anyone in here is saying that the Cubs are a virtual lock to win the World Series, but they have set themselves up extremely well. You were stating that the players likely will have problems with playing time or playing at different positions. This screams jealousy. This is a completely made up scenario that can/should easily be handled by the NL manager of the year, Joe Maddon. They are one of the best (if not the very best) teams to currently to start the season (on paper of course). Still 162 games to be played, but have to give them that.
  17. What the futchkis! Sox couldn't pucker up 1 year / 8 mil die
  18. I'm sure these problems are what managers are there for... Lol, they'll be fine.
  19. Sorry for not responding earlier, but I just take a couple advils, some water, and go straight to bed with some ice on the head. Nothing really defeats it for me unless I am sleeping some 6-8 hours with some ice on the head and some sort of pain-relief medicine (Advil).
  20. As long as Sale is healthy, I am great with this!
  21. What round is Fernandez? If hes above 3rd or 4th i'd consider kicking him to the curb. If he's below that, I think you have to keep him. If he's 4th round you are in the middle ground. Assuming this is a 12 team league.
  22. It depends on just how heavy pitchers are in your league. But, my thoughts: First, I'd stay away from Fernandez and Rodon if I could (Fern --> injuries, Rodon --> not proven as a keeper IMO when you only have three choices). Next, Machado is the best player of the three IMO. If you can do Arrenado for Altuve straight up, I love that deal. Machado for Altuve you are overpaying. I'd prefer to Keep Machado + Altuve + Fernandez if it is possible. If he is only accepting Machado for Altuve, I pass and keep Machado + Arrenado + Fernandez Use Machado at UTIL if he is only 3b eligible in your league. Whatever you do, do not let Machado + Arrenado go for the sake of keeping Rodon + fernandez. Keep Machado + Arrenado + one of the SP (fernandez). This is, of course, assuming some sort of balance between hitting / pitching, even if pitching is slightly favored.
  23. Yes, and this is a good point . The Cubs will be contenders for quite some time now due to how their team is set up. If they don't win this year, they'll have a hell of a shot next year, etc.
  24. Latos and Rollins aren't fair as they were looking for playing time which was a situation that existed due to our poor team .
  25. The Brewers? Really? We have yet to see how they will pan out (similarly, the Braves). The Cubs are reality, they are the best team in the bigs right now. Even if we grant you a few teams, the cubs are on the short list of teams that have been built masterfully. Perhaps, but at this stage in the season it isn't about screwing up the world series, it's about setting your team up to reach it. There's very few, if any, teams that are currently set up as well as the Cubs are.
