  1. Smith bunts over shelton, man on second one out.
  2. QUOTE(brijames @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) You are the most negative SOB I have ever heard on a friggen internet message board and that is really saying something. Why do you even watch these games? If we lost there would be a meat ball thread. Bet you money.
  3. Meat ball is out for a third inning? This cannot be a good sign. / bad fan for saying that right tony?
  4. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) He'll say it again. Hopefully this inning. Why do you hope for that? It is a home run 20% of the time when he says it these days.
  5. QUOTE(ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 09:10 PM) Mikael Gelebale. ^^^
  6. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) I don't mind players taking pitches- but when Frank keeps on looking at Strike-3- it gets really annoying. Fine him. Anyway, have you watched the sox the last five years? They takes strike out looking more than any team in baseball i would imagine, i wish there was some way to find that out, probally is actually. Hawk needs to stop saying ''stretch''.
  7. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 09:03 PM) Frank takes way too many pitches? I am boggled. We b**** when our hitters don't take pitches, we b**** when Frank takes too many pitches. Tell me, baseball gurus...what is the exact number of pitches each hitter is supposed to take? Is there a specific number? Some people are f***ing retarded what can i say. He is taking 3.97 pitches per at-bat ( not updated for todays game). In his career he has averaged 4.04 pitchers per at-bat. So a batter that arguably has the best eye in baseball ( not bonds, i could walk when pitches are thrown four feet off the plate because i am so juiced up no one will pitch to me) should start taking less pitches? He is a obp monster for a reason. Isn't it obvious the more pitches you see in an at-bat it is more likely the pitcher makes a mistake?
  8. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) Why is Jizzcan still in there? Because he just got out of a big jam.
  9. If anyone other than baj gets called up ( like jenks) we need to take a bat to someone in management.
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 08:54 PM) Gee, Nook Logan actually uses his speed to play well in the OF. If Pods could do that, we'd have won this game already. I hope that play changes some people's mind about his defense.
  11. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 08:50 PM) Figured you would like that.
  12. Inge makes a crazy diving catch to rob the cruddy one.
  13. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) i dont know about that and frank ks When konerko is going good he is this teams best fastball hitter. Who do you think has a better chance, willie?
  14. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 05:28 PM) I would put Magic, Payton, Isiah and Stockton(not in order)off the top of my head as better PG's than Kidd was. Kidd wasn't that good until he got to NJ. I think that's what people are missing. Before that he was an above average guard(think Andre Miller, but a little better at passing) who made a couple of All-Star teams. That's why he wasn't even talked about much. And it's not like he came close to winning the championship either. He took the Nets during the down years of the EC and you know you wouldn't be able to say with a straight face that the level of competition didn't play a role in it. He even wanted to jump on the Spurs bandwagon to be with Duncan. If you were to build a team right now, you're telling me you would take Kidd over Shaq or Duncan??? Wow. I said the last decade, so that means no magic or isiah. Kidd wasn't talked about alot before the nets? That is news to me. Where do you get i would take kidd over shaq or duncan? What i did say is shaq and duncan are not >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> kidd.
  15. Over 75 people have posted in ''the gigantic all encompassing trade thread''.
  16. QUOTE(upnorthsox @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) We got $3 mil with Contreras, he's making $8.5 mil this yr and next. The $3 mil was to offset the rest of '04(500k) and this yr to bring his salary down to $6 mil($2.5 mil). We are on the hook for all of '06 for $8.5 mil. This btw was KW's 2nd worst trade. He was scheduled to make seven million this year, they are paying one million of it this year therefore the sox are paying six million He is scheduled to make eight million is 2006 but the yankees are paying two million of it, therefore only six million for the white sox.
  17. QUOTE(WhiteSox311 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 12:25 PM) awwwwww I hate you, ALOT.
  18. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 03:57 PM) Cubs have the 6th best batting average in the league http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/aggreg...t=0&season=2005 they are anything but a bad hitting club 17th in runs scored. Runs scored> batting average.
  19. QUOTE(upnorthsox @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) I believe the Yanks only picked up 2 mil of this yr, we'll owe the full $8 mil next. No, they are paying one million this year and two million next year.
  20. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 03:25 PM) "Red Sox Suck". There you go I've said it, expect my comments to be put on Red Sox message boards all over the internet, and for Peter Gammons to bring it up on Baseball Tonight. Dbaho showing his maturity. :rolly
