QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 06:03 PM) I have just been using the Bugmenot extension for FireFox for Insider, and it has worked great so far. I thought you do not get the full artcles? I know i never did.

QUOTE(lvjeremylv @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 06:00 PM) Yeah, really. WTF are you talking about Soxfest? He hit .262 and walked over 50 times in just over 400 at bats. To me, that's hardly "guy cannot get on base at all". Some people have a set opinion about willie and soxfest seems to be one of them.

QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) I also heard awhile back that the PTBNL is Ben Hendrickson.. If he indeed is the player this would be a great trade for the Sox Haha no way.

My choice is we get none of them on the poll.

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 02:02 PM) As much as I like Harris he has no value and he does us no good on the Bench (doesn't play SS or 3B). Either he is our starting 2B or he shouldn't be on the team at all. Thus we would have to throw him in to the deal. Unless we keep him at AAA of course but I think he's out of options. If you think he has no value you are very mistaken.

QUOTE(toasty @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 12:42 PM) didnt some team already sign aurilia to a minorleague contract? No.

QUOTE(WSFAN35 @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) Who knows what we're going to get with Marte this year. He reported to camp last year out of shape with five miles off his fastball. He's not the same pitcher that he used to be, and while he might get it back, he might get worse. Why not trade for a sure thing in Castillo? It must have been just camp that he was pitchig five miles slower. Because during the regular season he was 94,95,96. Ocassionally he would hit 97. He just had one stretch were he could not find the plate, other than that he was great.

QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 03:25 AM) Your foot is the same length as the distance between the inside of your wrist and your elbow crease. I just tried it.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 12:56 AM) A.J also GIDP a lot. So I wouldn't consider him to be a #2 hitter. Uribe, Rowand or Iguchi if signed would be far better options. Bonds was a big reason for all those double plays. He was never one to ground into them very much before he was in san fran batting behind bonds.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 12:51 AM) i like othella when he gets 5-10 of playing time but most of the time if he gets more than that he dont play 2 well You are going by one game. He is shopting right around .500 after tonights game.

QUOTE(LDF @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 12:20 AM) trade bait??? I doubt the bulls make any trades and if they do it will just be something minor.
-
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 07:01 PM) I second that. Please explain why he was no trade value. This is coming from you, one of the biggest willie haters. So that must mean something.

QUOTE(LDF @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 10:41 PM) my point is were we even in the running for miller, i never heard a word of kw pursuing him and i think he should have. as you said miller is worth the money invested. that is my point and i do know that boston sign him. read the other post where the other guy mention signing miller was way too expensive. now do you understand what i am saying? When i said he was too expensive i was referring to durham. Like i said, i was not suppose to quote your post.

I remember a people basically calling othella a piece of s*** a while back. Things seem to have changed.

QUOTE(TLAK @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 06:57 PM) So Q, are Ray's dollars different? Please share it with us. What do you mean? I am saying dugout dollars has been off before and the site i gave is extremely accurate. As is this site, but it is no longer updated. It is great for older contracts though. http://www.bluemanc.demon.co.uk/baseball/mlbcontracts.htm

QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 06:29 PM) Nobody wants worthless Harris he has NO trade value at all. How is that?
-
QUOTE(chisox2334 @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) Dugout dollars has Ray-Ray at $6.78 million for 2005 and again in 2006. When I read this I knew someone good will be gone from your team or someone who eat half of that contract. Prospects wont work because were adding more to payroll which you hear bruce levine that iguchi wanted 3 yrs 15 mil and if were not gonna give iguchi that kind of money why do you think we will durham? I like ray durham he can still hit and field good. But someone on sox roster with around 3 mil contract will get it done. Just my opinion but looking at kenny words about iguchi and reading it from everywhere it just seems that prospects wont get job done. By the way I remember hearing Willie Harris name first time I remember Hawk Harrelson saying hes mini ray. Dugout dollars has been wrong numerous times. This site i have been going to for quite some time has never been wrong with a contract and breaks each contract down very well. http://www.mlb4u.com/sf.html Also, when was durham ever a good fielder?

QUOTE(chisox05 @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 06:35 PM) Id love Durham and it would seem that the giants wouldnt be that against dealing him but reports of MArte being involved fears me. The Giants have Deivi Cruz,Omar Vizquel,Edgardo Alfonzo, and Ray durham for 2b,ss,3b. Being that they acquired cruz this off season, it wouldnt surprise me if they wanted to trade durham all along. His contract is high and they are a team that would want some young talent. Willie Harris and either Adkins,Diaz, or JBaj I would venture to think would be enough for them to pay the rest of Ray's contract as well. I miss big Ray........ Cruz was on the giants last year also.
-
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) yeah ray isnt worth it with what he getting paid and on top of that with them wanting marte.... maybe id do that trade if they gave us their 3B dude alfonzo or whatevr his name is... he is good and still like 26. He is 31.
-
QUOTE(Winnin Ugly @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) Has their been any reports in Chicago about Ray coming back to Chicago... Here in San Fran they think the deal will go through. One of the host on KNBR thinks that the Giants wants Damaso Marte in return We trade marte for him i will become very pissed very quickly.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 05:31 PM) I love watching Tyson play. He got Dennis Rodmans heart, and an NBA body. Hopefully his health holds up. He should, says his back has never felt stronger.

QUOTE(LDF @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 12:27 PM) i think they are restricted fa, but i am not too sure how that works in basketball. If other teams offer a certain amount and the bulls match it that player has to come back to the bulls.
-
QUOTE(USAF_11F4H @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 05:09 PM) The Sox traded Ray-Ray to the A's in '02 for ... Jon Adkins. Ouch. Can you say salary dump?
-
QUOTE(LDF @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) so tell me what you think is "way to expensive" means??? miller sign a contract of 1 yr and 1.5 mil a yr. I swear i did not quote anything. I must have though. When i said that i was not gonna suppose to quote anyone. But why we are on that, defending world champions or the white sox?
-
QUOTE(LDF @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) take a care and sign hi. i would hate it if they don't take a chance. very much like wade miller, we should have taken a chance with him as well. He is also way too expensive for us.
