  1. Should knight even be on this list? He has always been a good passer and not much else. I would have to go with simmons also and a close second would be murphy for me. Huges has also improved a good amount. He now has one of the better all around games in the nba. But last year he had a pretty good year too for what talent he had around him.
  2. Who cares? He sucks. He is not an improvement over willie.
  3. QUOTE(raff @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 12:08 PM) f*** you magglio, you suck. hes giving a discount b/c hes not gonna get any money when everyone finds out that hes a year or more away from playing again. This home town discount talk is bulls***. I am willing to bet he signs an incentive ladden deal any where he goes. So then next off-season his stock will be high once more and he can get one last big pay day.
  4. QUOTE(C_LEE45 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 12:04 PM) man there getting everybody,Maggs,Beltran whos next!!!! i hope the yanks or mets sign CB,and then houston goes for maggs. They will not sign both beltran and ordonez. For one they would not have any place for both of them to go and the money would be a problem. If they get either or it will definitely be ordonez.
  5. QUOTE(USAF_11F4H @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) Tribune report of Ordonez supposedly offering "home town discount" to Cubs. How wrong would *that* be.... He is gonna get basically the same deal from any team he signs with. Only difference is if he signs with a contending team or not. Which the cubs are so it would be a wise choice on his part.
  6. QUOTE(babybearhater @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 09:47 AM) Kind of like paying Carl everett money to sit as well???? Everett will not be sitting for the first month or two of the season. You really believe thomas will be ready to start the season? He will be very valuble giving all three of our outfielders a rest throughout the year.
  7. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 11:50 AM) Brit. Arab. Jew. Finn. Swede. ...... There's nothing offensive about those terms if they are not used in an inappropriate way. Just because the we used the term "Jap" when we were at war with them does not make it offensive. I hate "political correctness" ... it's taking this country right down the tubes.
  8. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 11:40 AM) Not cool. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) when is graff's contract up in KC? maybe we can get him in the middle of the season via trade. Next year is his last year of the contract with the royals.
  9. QUOTE(babybearhater @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 09:43 AM) or calling a german a germ, right?? Another example is to call an austrailian (dbaho) an aussie. I am sure he is not offended by it and if he was i am sure he would say something about it. Like i said, i can name more but is it really necassary? You may not like that people do it but it happens daily and i think you would be lying to say you have never used a shortened version of a nationality. But i do not care about this anymore because it is silly to be talked about in the pale hose forum.
  10. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 05:42 AM) Just think if the Sox didn't resign Ben Davis, Pierzynski would pretty much be a White Sox player right about now, if the Sox decided to go the $3 mill route, they very well still might though. If they do not offer him the one million more that he wants i am gonna need a very good expanation why. Pierz>>> davis in every single aspect of the game. Getting him eliminates the biggest whole we have on the entire team. If our next biggest whole is willie i will be a very excited person.
  11. QUOTE(Man Of Steel @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 04:11 AM) i dont get where he made a racist statement... if your refering to him saying "jap" im pretty sure it wasnt meant as a racist remark as it was just shortening the sentance.. chill out dude :headshake Exactly, just like calling an arabian person and arab. There are many examples i can give but i am sure everyone understands what i mean.
  12. QUOTE(Yoda @ Dec 19, 2004 -> 11:30 AM) Wow.... the Mariners are already thinking about having Reed as their starting CF for the start of the 2005 season? Not only that but a #2 hitter! Damn... this kid will kick ass in his Major League career. If by kick ass you mean kotsay, then you would be correct.

  14. QUOTE(chisox2334 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 03:13 AM) I can see it now our fault not signing aj is due to perez 1 mil we gave him lol. Whoever says that is plain ol silly.
  15. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 03:08 AM) Take away Beltran, Kent and Berkman for the 1st few months of the season, and that team has lost a lot of run scoring power right there. Jose cruz jr helps only helps them waste money though. They need to work something out and get a bigger bat than his.
  16. Even if we do sign him to a one year deal with an option i will be pissed. We need to sign him for miltiple years. Is there really a reason not to? We know what we are gonna get from him for the most part. Even if he does have problems here i am pretty sure that we will be trade him for something. Even if we have to settle for a salary dump.

    Best Seinfeld Episode

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 01:40 AM) I don't even remember the end of Roseanne Because you are not missing much.
  18. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 01:37 AM) Amare Stoudemire's 50 point game on Sunday was almost as crazy. He made 20 field goal attempts (to Jermaine's 19), but he only hit 10 out of 17 free throws. I wish players would learn that they are caller free throws for a reason. I mean, wtf, baron davis is a career 65% free throw shooter. That is disgusting in my opinion. One wshocking thing tonight was that eddy curry hit nine out of his ten attempts

    Best Seinfeld Episode

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 05:40 PM) Quote or episode? I pretty much think the entire last season was pretty bad. George did nothing but yell for the majority of the episodes, and they really ran with the whole thing of them being people you wouldn't like in real life. Up until the last season, I can say I know people similar to the cast, including myself, but that last season was too much. It was too forced. A prime example was the one where Jerry was buying the new car and George was after the candy bar in the machine. George is so over-the-top that I can't even watch that episode. I really don't like the final season much at all. The show needed to die, and I think they let it go one season too long. Much like Roseanne. The ending to roseanne pisses me off so f***ing much.
  22. QUOTE(trexer @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) Welcome back Molto! Where were you the past several months?
  23. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) I'm not sure if what you're saying is true about Polanco. But the fact that he accepted arbitration means that his price will be set by the arbitrator. The Phillies I do not believe can trade him before that occurs. He's going to obtain max arbit numbers with 7 yrs under his belt. VS. L: .327 / .858 VS. R: .287 / .757 HOME: .317 / .836 AWAY: .277 / .732 .298, 17HR, 222TB, 55RBI in 126G, 503AB. 345O, 441S Those are solid numbers. That's basically 3/4th's of a season. Projected over a full-season: 265TB, 65RBI, 20HR. He's the 5th best hitter on that team now. That would make him the 4th best. I don't understand why they would trade him. His 3 yr avg is quite good: v L: 370O, 503S v R: 332O, 405S 1543AB, 162R, 450H, 832B, 40HR, 167RBI, 292A, 342O, 430S I don't see why a team in contention would trade this guy. If they trade him it won't be before ST. It would be near the break if they are clearly out of it. Why would they want to pay more than four million for someone that is not even starting for them?
  24. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 10:21 PM) Q, did you read the poster on the BBB boards asking who does the "woooo" sound effect that the Hornets? Sheesh, what a fool. Thought i did, do you know who it was?
