  1. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 01:07 PM) Didn't Tuberville bring that Troy OC to Auburn when he was there as well? I know they tried to run a spread and it failed.. Yeah, Tony Franklin. But Auburn didn't have any of the personnel to run a spread, they just tried to put a square peg into a round hole just because others were doing it.
  2. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 01:06 PM) hawk: "lets just face it lately we just stink" Didn't he just say "lets just face it, we stink"?
  3. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 01:03 PM) I just woke up and went to CBS.. is Kotsay REALLY batting 3rd?? And playing poor RF defense. Ozzified.
  4. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 12:52 PM) Now it's starting to get to the point where we should be think about contingency plans. What could we get for Peavy and Rios? Let's blow it up and upgrade the farm. I'm ready to go all out firesale and build around Danks, Santos, and Beckham. Not sure what to think about keeping Mark. I love Mark, but it might be best to get a lot for him and start over.
  5. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 12:34 AM) Is Texas Tech still going to run that spread offense or will they be changing now that Tuberville is there? Ive always wondered if there would be a day that Texas Tech wasn't a huge passing school anymore.. Yep, still a majority passing attack, as they brought in Troy's OC last year. It's an uptempo attack that is about 65% pass instead of 75% passing, but they will run more plays so you should see Tech QB's near the top of the passing charts. However, instead of 5,000 yard seasons, 4,200 yards will probably be the max. Baron Batch should be the first Tech 1,000 yard back in 12 years.
  6. Kevin Garnett is such a piece of s***, just started a fight in the Heat game. I hope that f***er blows his ACL out and is out of the league.
  7. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 05:35 PM) Tuberville was such an awesome hire. He's a great coach that got screwed at Auburn... If Kiffin had left a week earlier, I would have been all over Tuberville being the next UT coach, but oh well... I like what I've seen from Dooley so far at least. Dooley will be a good hire. I knew he could get it done on gameday coaching, but figured he would struggle in recruiting. But we saw that wasn't the case with the ridiculous way he closed out the class.
  8. I wouldn't be in favor of that. Beasley shouldn't be traded unless it's for a legit PG option. The Heat could trade DQ Cook and James Jones salaries packaged with a 1st round pick to get enough cap relief for a third max player. I can't imagine the Raptors getting a better offer.
  9. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 10:45 AM) Orange and White game today... even if it's a glorified scrimmage, i still love it cause it's football. Then possibly a crawfish boil afterwards. Texas Tech just finished the Red and Black game as well. I'm so damn excited to have Tuberville at the helm, everything about the way he runs the program is professional. Recruits and fans have noticed and so have the donations, it has been amazing. Tech will be the dark-horse pick for the Big 12 next year.
  10. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 12:39 AM) Interesting; That would work out well for the Heat. Heat could offer DQ Cook, James Jones, and a 1st round pick for Bosh, and actually have room for a third max player.
  11. AJ, Pierre, and Alexei are basically the worst at their positions so far this year. Tough to overcome at least a third of the lineup being totally useless on any given night. But then plugging Kotsay at DH overcomes all the other obstacles offensively.
  12. When you have Terry Bradshaw in a position to give you advice, you know it's bad. I really wish the Steelers would look into offers of anything around a 1st or 2nd round pick and jump on the offer. He can still be a very good QB, but Steelers fans are fed up with his bulls***.
  13. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 10:27 AM) And Eddie Jordan's been canned by the 76ers. Tom Thibodeau and Larry Brown the early favorites to take over. Just go away!
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 11:53 PM) Damn, I just found out Kentucky landed Brandon Knight AND Michael Gilchirst. Knight was a given. But Gilchirst? Gilchrist was always going anywhere that Calipari went. Gilchrist and Knight will magically be signed by Lebron's agency when they enter the draft as well. Calipari and Lebron have a nice recruiting relation$hip going.
  15. You guys need to at least rough up Lebron in your series. I feel good about the fighting Wade's against the Celtics in the 1st round.
  16. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 03:22 PM) Santonio Holmes - 4 games = a 2nd Rounder Brandon Marshall = 2 2nd Rounders Ted Ginn = a 4th Rounder? 5th rounder for Holmes. But he has 12 games until he's a FA.
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 07:56 AM) http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...os-heckler.html I realize he is defending Rios, but dude, this doesn't look good, not at all. Bring in people solely based on L-R match ups from the pen, make ridiculous lineups, and say whatever the hell you want to the press, keep your friends around as coaches on your staff as long as you want. What a managing life.
  18. The Thunder's future is ridiculous. Durant, Westbrook, Green, Harden, Ibaka, Maynor, Mullens and two 1st round picks this year.
  19. Don't know if this has been posted. http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/knic...qlxSjLDmd8yKOgK "Most players believe James is staying in Cleveland and Dwyane Wade, who visits the Garden tonight for the last time before becoming free, will not leave Miami, despite selling his home for a loss. League sentiment also has Amar'e Stoudemire hooking up with Wade in Miami and Chris Bosh joining forces with point guard Derrick Rose in Chicago. That leaves Joe Johnson, who doesn't exactly make the Knicks world-beaters." I know you guys would be happy to have Bosh down low with Noah. Bulls would have a nasty front-court.
  20. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 11:24 AM) The Knicks don't have their first round pick. They traded a future pick to Phoenix a long time ago to get Stephon Marbury, which was then traded to Utah. This is the first year there are no protections on that pick. Good to know.
  21. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 11:08 AM) And by magically I hope you mean "magically" Indeed. Even more magical than the Bulls getting Rose and leaving Beasley to the Heat.
  22. I'm already preparing myself for the Knicks to magically win the lottery, draft John Wall, and sign Lebron/Bosh.
  23. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 11:54 PM) Roethlisberger next? If they could get a 2nd round pick for him I would be all for it. Both Holmes and Ben are time bombs waiting to go off. Holmes was in the final year of his contract and will miss the first four games of the year with a substance abuse suspension from the league, and it's only a matter of time before he's out an entire year with the same problem. He has no business in the NFL. Ben isn't smart enough to keep it in his pants, eventually one of these ladies will win and Ben will be in jail.
