  1. I still have to laugh at MSU being the #1 seed here.
  2. Seems to be a cake walk for UNC and Kansas.
  3. Like I said. Kansas State will lose to Baylor. We should see Iowa State demolish Texas if things go the usual way.
  4. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) I don't see Kansas or Mizzou being upset solely because they're in Kansas City, so they'll have homecourt advantage. ISU can hang with Mizzou, but they were able to stop Royce White when it mattered (though, with calls going their way). ISU will have a really tough game with Texas first. Also, Okie State is without LeBryan Nash the rest of the way. Kansas-Mizzou would be a great finale, but I can actually see a KSU-Texas final matchup to shock everyone.
  5. Ol Roy just ain't that good. He will never adjust, and coach K will coach circles around him. 4 losses already with that talent is hilarious.
  6. I'll always have a place in my heart for Humphries because he spurned Coach K at the last moment for Minnesota.
  7. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 22, 2012 -> 11:11 PM) Crabtree was starting to come along later in the year until the playoffs so it'll be interesting to see who he is next season. And honestly I don't think the nfc west is going to be awful next year... Crabtree has improved each season. 48 catches 625 yards to 55 catches 741 yards to 72 catches 874 yards Imagine if he had one of the top 15 or so QB's throwing him the ball. He would be a thousand yard receiver, same for Davis. SF just needs a legit deep threat to pair with Crabtree. Ginn is too fragile mentally and physically. Kendall Wright would be a great pick-up in the draft.
  8. Wayne Gretzky is the only other athlete that I would argue with MJ on the greatest ever.
  9. It's hard for me to see the argument of Payton over Jim Brown or Barry Sanders. Sanders and Brown are the only guys that averaged 100+ yards a game in their careers. Both guys averaged at least 5 yards a carry for their careers. For me it would be... 1. Barry Sanders 2. Jim Brown 3. Walter Payton
  10. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 04:00 AM) I've been a believer in Baylor the past few years but they always seem to fold to tough talent, it seems. Maybe a misperception. Anytime a team is close to their talent, they are going to get thoroughly out-coached. Drew knows how to buy a player, but he has no clue what to do with them once paid for.
  11. Kobe is in one of those unstoppable streaks. Didn't think he still had it in him.
  12. Here's a solid website that tracks the trends in programming languages. I have experience with about 10 languages, and I barely make a dent in the list. http://www.tiobe.com/index.php/content/pap...tpci/index.html On another note, I get extremely frustrated with the splintering of new languages. Everyone and their mom wants to create the new "IT" language.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 9, 2012 -> 09:40 PM) Breaking that player's leg was the only good thing Jefferson has done all game. He really needs to get benched. How does a school like LSU end up with nothing at QB? Just absurd.
  14. I love John Fox, he's a hell of a coach. Unfortunately he's the wrong color for the Steelers to hire him.
  15. Amazing how many wins the Steelers have each season with horrendous CB's and a horrendous OL.
  16. You couldn't simulate that first kick again in 1,000 tries.
  17. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 8, 2012 -> 01:57 PM) Marino's stats are pretty absurd for a rookie in just 9 starts in that era of NFL passing. Imagine what he couldve done in today's game. And he was win 7-2. And I think the criteria should be more stat related but winning games/contribution to team's success should be bonus points. Marino started 9, but played in 11 games overall. He had a big impact, but so did Roethlisberger in 2004 for the Steelers. I wouldn't vote for either one.
  18. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 8, 2012 -> 01:26 PM) Why do you say Rodgers was no where near Luck? Rodgers had QB rating of 154 and 66% pct completion, Luck had a QB rating of 160.7 with a 70% completion rating. Statistically Luck isnt even the best QB in this draft, that would be RG III or Russel Wilson, who both sport better QB ratings (both broke the all time NCAA record, Wilson with rating of 191.2 and RG III with 189.5). Rodgers was very good in college, but Luck is the Peyton Manning of college football. He prepares the same way as Manning, and audibles at the line most of the time based on what the defense shows. He watches endless film, and has all the physical attributes you could want from a QB. There is literally nothing missing at this point in his development. He reads defenses quickly, has veteran NFL QB footwork, and has the arm to make all the throws with a quick release. He also has the mobility to get where he needs to on the field. He is a natural leader with NFL bloodlines, and as classy as they come with the media off the field. If you could build a QB prospect, he is what you would build.
  19. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 7, 2012 -> 07:34 PM) I think you're underestimating how bad A&M is right now. Banged up and struggling. But hey, hard to win there so that's nice. Kennedy's unfortunate diagnosis of Parkinson's disease has left the program in disarray. Most Aggies are wanting Kennedy to retire.
  20. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jan 8, 2012 -> 10:47 AM) John Clayton is on ESPN saying the Colts plan on drafting Andrew Luck and also want to keep Peyton Manning if he is healthy enough to play when his roster bonus is due. It would be criminal to sit Luck with Manning starting. Nobody in the history of the QB position has been more NFL ready than Luck coming in. I'm sure Seattle would be more than happy to give up their potential selection of someone like Brock Osweiler, for a few years of Manning.
  21. I must be missing something with Marino's 1983 season. He put up solid numbers. But he also had arguably the best OL in the NFL. Cam Newton's rookie impact blows away Marino's rookie season to me. I would go with Dickerson or Moss. Dick Lane's 14 INT's should also be in contention.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 08:07 AM) You expected Indiana to be this good? I certainly didn't. I think you missed the sarcasm.
  23. Murray State has a legit shot at a perfect season. I wonder where that would leave them as a seed.
